"Stop!"
The cold shout rang in Wang Yi's ears like a thunderclap, instantly changing his expression.
Behind him, dozens of meters away, the Blood-Clothed Guards charged forward with a fierce momentum, their terrifying presence seeming to swallow Wang Yi whole.
"The plan to lure the tiger away from its mountain." Upon seeing Wang Yi, the Blood-Clad Leader's face, which had been filled with joy, suddenly darkened and became chilling. Out of a group of ten, six had been killed; even a fool would know there were four left. But now, only Wang Yi stood alone. The flames of anger burned in his heart, making the Blood-Clad Leader feel like a monkey being toyed with, manipulated at will.
He wanted to kill this monkey.
Wang Yi did not look back as he dashed deeper into the Deep Forest, his steps chaotic and without direction. At that moment, he had only one thought: to run as far away as possible; stopping meant death.
Suddenly, a massive chasm several hundred meters wide appeared before him!
Wang Yi, running in the fierce wind, came to an abrupt halt. A look of horror surged in his eyes as he gazed down into the bottomless chasm beneath him. A wave of intense cold swept over him, and he quickly retreated.
It was a pitch-black chasm that seemed bottomless, deep and dark. The walls of the chasm were flat and smooth, devoid of any vegetation, as if it had been cleaved open by a sword.
Sweat poured down Wang Yi's forehead; his face turned pale, and his legs felt heavy as mountains. He stood motionless about ten meters from the chasm. With pursuers behind him and an abyss ahead, there was no way out—he was truly at a dead end. He couldn't help but think, "Is this where I, Wang Yi, will meet my end?"
Suddenly, a whistling sound pierced the air.
At that moment, Wang Yi's expression changed slightly as dozens of blood-red shadows flashed towards him in an instant.
"Hahaha! Run? Go ahead and run!" the Blood-Clad Leader roared with a savage expression like a beast. His anger reached its peak; it felt as if there was a volcano ready to erupt within him at any moment.
"Die!" The fury clouded the Blood-Clad Leader's mind, making him completely forget the mission at hand. He lunged forward with lightning speed towards Wang Yi, with only one thought in his mind: to kill this person who had humiliated him so greatly.
Wang Yi was startled and attempted to dodge with a swift movement, but it was too late. The Blood-Clad Leader appeared behind Wang Yi like a ghost, striking down with a palm. With a crack, Wang Yi felt a sweetness in his throat as blood spurted out, and he stumbled back, rolling several meters away.
Looking at Wang Yi, who lay on the ground like a pile of mud, the Blood-Clad Leader cackled, "I wonder where you can run now?"
Beside him, more than ten Blood-Clothed Guards revealed their bloodthirsty gazes, their knives and swords glinting coldly as they emitted sharp sounds, eager to kill Wang Yi.
"Cough cough cough." Wang Yi furrowed his brows tightly, squinting his eyes as he coughed up blood repeatedly. Slowly getting up, he suddenly collapsed again, the sound of bones breaking echoed from his back. With a cry of despair, the Deep Forest once again resonated with a piercing scream.
The Blood-Clad Leader struck down on Wang Yi's Dantian, and it sounded like porcelain shattering. With the Dantian destroyed, the second-level Earth Spirit Realm Wang Yi had no power to resist before the Blood-Clad Leader.
"Hehe, your back's bones have all been shattered by me, and your Dantian is broken. From now on, you will never be able to cultivate again." Seeing Wang Yi in such a miserable state relieved some of the anger in the Blood-Clad Leader's heart. Once he calmed down, he chuckled sinisterly, "Where are the other three? Come out, and I can leave your corpse intact; otherwise, I will have you torn apart without leaving a single bone."
Wang Yi gritted his teeth and looked inward at his Dantian. He saw that it was shattered like broken porcelain, fragmented into pieces. Vital Energy uncontrollably overflowed from the Dantian, coursing through his meridians chaotically and creating a mess. The Mysterious Pearl lay quietly within the broken Dantian, silent and still.
Having experienced a shattered Dantian once before, he felt no fear in his heart this time. But could he still escape now?
The Blood-Clad Leader spoke harshly.
One of the Blood-Clothed Guards stepped forward and grinned at Wang Yi. "Leader, let me teach him a lesson!"
Wang Yi's blurred vision caught sight of a hazy figure rushing towards him. Then he felt a sharp pain in his chest as the Blood-Clothed Guard kicked him away several feet. With a thud, his body crashed to the ground like a mountain falling.
Pfft!
The pain from his lungs made Wang Yi unable to hold back a mouthful of blood, his brows tightly knitted, cold sweat pouring down his forehead, and his limbs curled up together.
"Still not?" the Blood-Clothed Guards sneered as they stepped closer to Wang Yi.
"This is your last chance; otherwise, this will be your burial ground," the Blood-Clothed Guards said, pointing towards the abyss ahead, their gaze fixed on Wang Yi like a beast.
"I don't know what you are talking about," Wang Yi gritted his teeth and managed to spit out these words.
"Hmph, you refuse to drink the wine offered and instead choose the punishment wine," the Blood-Clothed Guards said coldly, their tone inhuman. They mercilessly stomped on Wang Yi's right palm with their right foot. With a crack, accompanied by a scream, blood gushed out, splattering into a tragic bloom of red.
The Blood-Clothed Guards' expression was icy, as if they had just crawled out from a pile of corpses. Looking at Wang Yi, there was no kindness on their face. With a sinister smile, their right foot pressed down on Wang Yi's palm like a grinding stone. The sound of cracking echoed in his ears like frying beans. Wang Yi let out a high-pitched scream that seemed to stain the air with a layer of sorrowful appearance, the atmosphere filled with a chilling aura that threatened to tear apart.
"You…" the Blood-Clothed Guards said viciously.
Wang Yi's vision blurred, his bodily functions slowly fading away. The intense pain had caused his brain to lose consciousness, leaving him feeling like a walking corpse.
"Stop!" Seeing Wang Yi's determination and that kind of gaze he had seen many times before—a will that regarded death as nothing—Blood-Clad Leader waved his hand to halt the torment.
"Hmph, I'll spare your life," the Blood-Clothed Guards said coldly.
"Take him back and hand him over to the family head," Blood-Clad Leader said after a moment of contemplation.
Upon hearing this, the Blood-Clothed Guards curled their lips and squatted down, preparing to lift Wang Yi.
In an instant, Wang Yi suddenly lunged at the Blood-Clothed Men like a wild beast. Even ants strive for survival; how much more so for humans? His teeth sank into the shoulder of one of them, and a scream erupted. His entire Vital Energy surged forth like a tide, the fierce waves of Vital Energy sweeping over the Blood-Clothed Men.
Everything happened so fast, in the blink of an eye.
"Seeking death." The Blood-Clothed Man had blood pouring from his shoulder, staining his clothes, caught off guard by Wang Yi. However, he was a Seventh Layer Martial Artist of the Earth Spirit Realm, with immense Vital Energy within him, far beyond what Wang Yi could compare to. He stomped his feet, causing the ground to crack like a spider web, letting the waves of Vital Energy sweep over him as a sinister smile appeared on his face while he stared at Wang Yi.
Wang Yi roared in anger, flames of fury surging within him. Even if it meant death today, he would fight to the end; better to die standing than to live kneeling!
As a martial artist, one must possess a sharpness of spirit!
The Transforming Cloud Palm struck out, instantly creating an unending wave of air. The palm wind was fierce, and the surrounding airflow suddenly slowed down, as if it were in a quagmire.
Fear surged in the eyes of the Blood-Clothed Man; his eyes widened in disbelief. What kind of Martial Arts was this? It could actually slow down the opponent's movements? This was truly incredible.
"Die!" Wang Yi unleashed both palms together, their force like a collapsing mountain, momentum rising infinitely as he ran forward, appearing like a towering mountain rushing into the clouds.
"Hmph, you overestimate yourself! Do you think you can defeat me like this? Dream on! Die!" The Blood-Clothed Man suddenly revealed a Crimson Blood Saber in his hand. A strong killing intent erupted from the Deep Forest as his gaze turned bloodthirsty. He swung down the massive blade with coldness and bloodlust, mercilessly slashing towards Wang Yi.
Puff!
The Vital Energy waves released by Wang Yi were torn apart without resistance by the sharp Blade Qi. His body momentarily froze, and with a scream, blood gushed forth, splattering over two meters high.
The Blood-Clothed Man let out a strange cry and kicked off fiercely with both feet, propelling himself forward. His fist wrapped in Vital Energy smashed into Wang Yi's chest.
Wang Yi screamed in agony as he was sent flying backward like a kite with its string cut, landing at the edge of a cliff.
Suddenly, a sharp whistling sound pierced through the air beside him, like an arrow slicing through the sky. With blurred vision, Wang Yi looked on as waves mixed with dark mist blew out from the abyss, sweeping over him. His hair stood on end as if his skin were about to be torn apart.
Blood-Clothed Men approached step by step, the sound of their footsteps echoing like the death knell in Wang Yi's ears, accompanied by chilling laughter, as if the apocalypse had arrived.
Blood-Clad Leader snorted coldly and stepped forward, his sinister gaze fixed on Wang Yi's face, yet a bright smile appeared on his lips as he said, "If you come out, not only can you save your life, but you can also receive a large sum of Yuan Stone. Why not consider it?"
Wang Yi gritted his teeth, refusing to budge an inch, leaving behind a pool of repulsive blood. Slowly, he crawled up, glaring fiercely at Blood-Clad Leader, laughed twice, and suddenly his throat gurgled as blood poured out continuously. After a long while, he spat out in hatred, "Dream on!"
Wang Yi clearly understood that the punch from Blood-Clothed Men had shattered all his internal organs. His Dantian was in chaos like a pool of rotten mud, and his Vital Energy was running rampant within him. Without a miraculous elixir, he could not continue cultivating.
"Child, this is what you brought upon yourself." Blood-Clad Leader's patience had been worn thin by Wang Yi, and he stepped closer to him, his expression growing colder and his killing intent intensifying. The Blood-Clothed Guards exchanged glances unconsciously and retreated, knowing their leader was angry!
"Die!" Blood-Clad Leader's eyes seemed to ignite with flames as he suddenly shot forward like a streak of light, appearing before Wang Yi in the blink of an eye.
Wang Yi was filled with inexplicable terror; he felt his body tremble and then knew nothing more. In the blink of an eye, he vanished into the abyss.
"Captain Tie, what should we do now?" one of the Blood-Clothed Guards cautiously approached to ask.
After a moment, Blood-Clad Leader turned to look at the Blood-Clothed Guards, his cold gaze sweeping over their faces as he said, "Family rules dictate that those who fail their mission must die!"
"Ah!" The Blood-Clothed Guards were taken aback and then turned pale, wide-eyed and frozen in place without uttering a word.
The family rules of the Chu Family were extremely strict; regardless of who it was, failure meant only one path—death! To "escape" was simply a delusion. The Chu Family was one of the Three Great Families in Xiangzhou Prefecture, wealthy and powerful with extensive influence. Capturing someone was as easy as pie; there was no way to escape.
