"Big Brother, save me." Lin Haojian looked at the approaching Wang Yi, his eyes filled with fear. Suddenly, a flash of green light swept past him, and he lost consciousness.
"Brother! Wang Yi, I will kill you!" Lin Wanfeng, riding an eagle in mid-air, roared upon seeing Lin Haojian's body, blood gushing from it.
"Hahaha, if you want to kill me, then come!" Wang Yi laughed loudly while holding the Azure Flow Sword.
Beneath his feet lay countless corpses, blood staining the ground. The humid air was thick with the stench of blood, making one feel nauseous.
Dozens of Yuanjing Warriors had not survived; among them were the bodies of the Su Hai Brothers and Lin Wanfeng, all taken down by Wang Yi.
A drop of crimson blood dripped from the Azure Flow Sword, and as the night wind blew, it stained the night sky red.
Wang Yi glanced around, his eyes filled with killing intent. He wiped the blood from his face and picked up the Storage Bags from the Su Hai Brothers and Lin Wanfeng. With a movement of his body, he vanished into the night, leaving behind a ground soaked in blood.
Atop the mountain peak.
"Wang Yi, I will kill you," Su Zhe shouted angrily.
"This child deserves to die," Lin Yu said coldly with a grim expression.
Zhao Ren and Zhou Yan lowered their heads, their expressions terrifyingly cold. They never expected that Wang Yi alone could wipe out all the Blood-Clothed Guards and also slay four peak Ninefold Origin Realm warriors. These four were the strongest members of the Four Great Families aside from their heads; cultivating another like them would be exceedingly difficult. This time, the Four Great Families suffered heavy losses.
Zhou Yu and others were so frightened they fell silent, not daring to speak. They felt even more anxious thinking about how they could have easily died under Wang Yi's sword if they had been just a moment slower.
"Once I capture him myself," Su Zhe said with a sinister expression, his heart filled with deep sorrow. The pain of losing a son was beyond words to describe.
"Su Brother, do not rush. Wang Yi is cunning and intelligent; we must not let our guard down. It is getting late now; finding him in this vast Deep Forest will not be easy," Zhou Yan said darkly, waving his hand.
"Hmph, Zhou Yan, it's easy for you to talk. It's not your son who died; it's my son, Su Zhe. Don't you dare say more. I will capture this child and tear him to pieces to avenge Hai Er and Ming'er," Su Zhe said coldly.
"Su Brother, the mountains are vast. Where will you go to search? I think it would be better this way: Wang Yi is already injured and won't be able to go far. For now, let your subordinates retreat. Once there is news, you can personally take action to kill Wang Yi; there's no rush," Zhao Ren said, noticing Zhou Yan's expression suddenly turn cold and realizing the situation was dire. He quickly signaled to Su Zhe.
"Alright!" Su Zhe's expression changed slightly as he suddenly remembered the person behind Zhou Yan and immediately nodded.
"Where are the Iron Guards?" Zhou Yan asked coldly.
"At your command," a Black Armored Warrior emerged from the darkness, wearing a ghostly mask that revealed only a pair of icy eyes, looking terrifying like a phantom in the night.
"Immediately lead the Iron Guards to search for Wang Yi. If you find him, do not act recklessly; report back immediately," Zhou Yan said in a calm voice.
"Understood," the Black Armored Warrior replied respectfully before disappearing into the night.
"Alright, we will wait here for news. As soon as there is any information, we will head out," Zhou Yan said, turning to look at Zhou Yu and the other two. "You three stay here for now; you need not get involved in this matter."
"Yes," Zhou Yu and the others quickly nodded in agreement.
As dawn broke, the morning light flowed like water.
Wang Yi slowly exhaled a breath of foul air; his Vital Energy had fully recovered to its peak state. He stood up and left the cave.
Looking around, the Deep Forest was silent and devoid of people. The morning breeze gently lifted a few leaves and carried them away into the distance. Wang Yi tightened his fists, determined to set off immediately. He had no fixed destination but knew he needed to leave Xiangzhou Prefecture; after all, this was the territory of the Zhao Family and the Zhou Family. Staying here was akin to walking into a wolf's den. With a swift movement, Wang Yi transformed into a shadow and headed deeper into the Deep Forest.
Woo woo woo!
Suddenly, a sound like a steam whistle echoed through the vast sky, sharp and piercing. Wang Yi's heart sank as he saw seven or eight dark figures moving erratically in the forest, surrounding him in an instant.
Wang Yi looked up and saw several dark, strange birds in the sky above Deep Forest. The sound resembling a whistle was coming from the mouths of these strange birds. A bitter smile crept onto his lips as his gaze fell upon the men in black. Each of these black-clad figures wore black armor and ghostly masks, revealing only their cold, merciless eyes. Waves of murderous intent intertwined like an electric net, enveloping him with nowhere to hide.
"Whoosh."
To Wang Yi's surprise, these Ghostskin Samurai did not immediately charge at him. Instead, they took out a red bamboo tube resembling a rocket. With a swing, a black lightning bolt shot into the sky, disappearing into the clouds. Soon after, a loud sound echoed out, rippling like water waves and sweeping through the surroundings.
Wang Yi's pupils constricted. He struck out with his palm, and instantly, shadows of his palm surged like a tide toward the Ghostskin Samurai. With several loud thuds, three Ghostskin Samurai were instantly killed.
"The master has ordered that he only needs to be kept here; there is no need to kill him," one Ghostskin Samurai said coldly, looking at Wang Yi with unfeeling eyes.
The other Ghostskin Samurai nodded in agreement.
Wang Yi's expression changed slightly; it seemed Zhou Yan and the others were preparing to take action themselves.
A Transcendent Realm Expert—he was definitely no match for them. He had to escape!
Rumbling!
A palm seal of vital energy, about ten feet wide, burst forth from Wang Yi's hand. Two Ghostskin Samurai were caught off guard and didn't have time to cry out before they perished.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Countless golden fist shadows roared out, dazzling and brilliant. Within a radius of several feet, it became a golden ocean.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
Several Ghostskin Samurai spewed blood and fell to the ground.
Wang Yi let out a roar, his body soaring into the air, Split Leg striking down like a giant pillar, sending the two Ghostskin Samurai blocking his path flying over ten meters away. He swayed and continued deeper into the area.
"Chase him," the remaining Ghostskin Samurai commanded.
In the blink of an eye, Wang Yi had run over ten meters, executing the You Li Body Technique, reaching peak speed, leaving only an afterimage in the air that was quickly dispersed by the wind. Several Ghostskin Samurai closely pursued him from behind.
Buzz!
At that moment, a wave of milky white energy suddenly surged from above, powerful and overwhelming, as if it were a solid force. Wherever it passed, trees turned to ash, and grass and wood were sent flying as if a storm had erupted.
Wang Yi instinctively sensed an extreme danger enveloping him. The milky white wave struck him like lightning without any obstruction. With a thud, his back felt as if it had been hit by thunder; blood spurted out as his body fell like a kite with its string cut, landing over ten meters away.
Rumbling!
The immense gravity slammed Wang Yi into the ground several feet deep, leaving him trapped and unable to move, feeling as if all his bones had shattered and he could muster no strength at all.
Suddenly, four streaks of light dove down from the sky and landed in front of Wang Yi. The four were none other than Zhou Yan and his companions.
"Wang Yi, do you remember this old man?" Su Zhe said ominously, his gaze toward Wang Yi filled with resentment. The loss of his son had nearly driven him to madness.
"Su Zhe, even if I die, I will never forget you," Wang Yi struggled to raise himself, coldly staring at Su Zhe and his companions. Gritting his teeth, he said, "You, a man without descendants, dare to speak to me like this? It is truly outrageous. How will you face your ancestors in the Su Family after death?"
"How dare you, beast?" Su Zhe's face turned green and then pale with anger; Wang Yi's words struck at his deepest wound. With a cold snort, he waved his large sleeve, unleashing an unmatched gust of wind that slammed into Wang Yi's back. With a thud, it felt as if a mountain had pressed down on him; he immediately fell silent and spat out blood.
"Hmph, Wang Yi, facing death you still dare to be so arrogant. Today is your day of demise," Lin Yu, recalling his second son Lin Haojian, felt an indescribable sorrow. Tears glimmered in his eyes but were quickly drowned by the pain of losing his son. He vowed to kill Wang Yi to avenge his son's death.
"You old fool, I regret not killing that Bastard son of Lin Wanfeng. If given another chance, I would ensure your line ends here," Wang Yi glared at Lin Yu, his voice devoid of emotion.
"The brat should be killed." Lin Yu was furious, slamming his palm down, leaving a red Palm Seal directly imprinted on Wang Yi's back. With a thud, a blood-red Palm Seal appeared, his clothes already torn, blood seeping from his pores, looking like a blood-soaked figure, extremely terrifying.
"If you have the guts, you four bastards, just kill me! If I miraculously survive today, I will make sure to wipe out your entire family," Wang Yi's eyes were filled with murderous intent as he spoke venomously.
"Hmph, boy, do you want to die? I won't let you die so easily. I will cut your flesh piece by piece until you wish for death; only then can I avenge my son," Su Zhe said coldly, raising his hand to strike down at Wang Yi's head.
Cry! Blood! Great! Technique!
A deep sound, like a beast's roar, suddenly erupted from Wang Yi's mouth. With a puff, a large amount of Blood Mist sprayed from Wang Yi's body and transformed into a blood shadow that flew backward. This scene happened in the blink of an eye; by the time Su Zhe's giant palm came crashing down, Wang Yi had already vanished without a trace. The ground rumbled as if it had suffered an earthquake, and a massive handprint several meters wide appeared before everyone.
"Kill!" The blood shadow roared as a three-meter-wide Palm Seal slammed down toward Su Zhe's head. The latter was taken aback and immediately struck upward with both palms, positioning himself defensively. The ground rumbled as Su Ming felt his bones about to shatter under the immense pressure; he was sent flying backward, leaving only an afterimage in the air before crashing to the ground, blood spraying out.
"A Transcendent Realm Expert is nothing special?" the blood-colored Wang Yi said coldly.
All of this happened too quickly for Zhou Yan and the others to notice. The next moment, as the Blood Mist dissipated, they saw a man covered in blood appear before them, his eyes blood-red and gaze sinister, looking like a blood beast—who else could it be but Wang Yi?
"Su Brother." Zhao Ren looked over and saw Su Zhe lying on the ground with a pale face like paper, his breath weak and clearly gravely injured.
