Van Loon was enjoying the thrill of running freely when suddenly, a deep and powerful goat call shattered the tranquility, catching his attention. He slowed down and looked in the direction of the sound, only to see a very strong-looking goat standing on a huge rock in the distance, with two magnificent and sharp horns on its head, exuding an air of invincibility. In almost an instant, a large number of goats surged towards the rock from all directions, showing great respect and even fear for the strong goat standing on the rock.
Van Loon didn't immediately realize what was happening, but soon he realized that the strong goat was likely the leader of this group of goats. It stood tall on the rock, looking down at the other goats, and its commanding presence and authority made Van Loon sigh in admiration. Although he was now also a goat, his human thinking allowed him to understand the symbolism of this hierarchy and power.
Van Loon was a little curious and a little nervous. He didn't know what these goats would do to him, after all, he was new and different from them, with a human way of thinking. He cautiously approached, wanting to see what was happening. As he got closer, he saw the strong goat leader start to make a series of calls, seemingly conveying some command or information. The other goats listened to the leader's calls, some nodding, some scattering, showing great obedience to the leader's commands.
Van Loon couldn't help but feel awe in his heart. He had never thought that in the animal world, there would be such obvious hierarchy and rules. He stopped at a distance, not daring to approach rashly, just quietly observing everything in front of him. He knew that he was now a member of this new environment, and he needed to understand and adapt to the rules here in order to find his place in this new world.
Looking at the strong leader of the goat, Van Loon suddenly felt a glimmer of hope. Unconsciously, he imagined what it would be like if he could also become the leader of the goat. He fantasized about standing on a high rock, with the other goat surrounding him, looking up to him with respect and obeying his commands. However, this idea shocked him in an instant. He was surprised at how quickly he had integrated into the world of the goat and even started having such fantasies.
As he was lost in his thoughts, the mother sheep gently nudged him and then slowly lay down, revealing her teats. She naturally made a gentle call, seemingly summoning him to come over. Van Loon looked into the eyes of the mother sheep, filled with wordless tenderness and care, and felt a mix of emotions. It seemed as if she was signaling him to come over and drink the sheep's milk. Van Loon looked at the mother sheep, feeling a mix of emotions. He watched as several Little lamb had already rushed over, eagerly finding a good spot to drink milk, while he stood still, at a loss.
He is aware of his current identity as a small goat, needing mother's milk to obtain the nutrients for growth, but as a former human, he feels an indescribable embarrassment and unease. He looks at the warm gaze of the mother sheep, filled with gratitude and guilt. The mother sheep's tenderness and care make him feel reassured, but at the same time, it makes him feel more helpless.
After much hesitation, Van Loon finally gathers the courage to slowly approach the mother sheep. He tries to release the conflicts and unease in his heart, attempting to accept his new identity. He squats down and carefully begins to suckle from the mother sheep's teat. The warm and sweet sheep's milk flows in his mouth, bringing him a strange comfort. With the gentle bleating of the mother sheep, he feels a kind of unfamiliar affection and warmth, temporarily letting go of his worries and experiencing the tenderness and care of this new world.
Van Loon was concentrating on sucking milk, feeling the special and novel warmth, when suddenly, a familiar and disdainful voice interrupted his thoughts, "Looks like you're adapting quite well? I was worried for nothing." Van Loon suddenly looked up and saw a miniature Night Shadow sitting leisurely on the sheep's belly, watching him suckle with interest.
Van Loon was so startled that he spat out the milk, his heart racing. He quickly backed away, only to fall heavily on his backside. Anger surged within him, and he angrily shouted at Night Shadow, "Damn it! You turned me into a goat, what the hell is going on?" His voice was filled with helplessness and anger. As he yelled in anger, he inadvertently let out a goat's characteristic angry bleat, which echoed in the air and caught the attention of the other goats nearby.
Nightshadow looked at the angry expression of Van Loon and couldn't help but laugh. He seemed to be enjoying Van Loon's embarrassment at the moment. He said slowly, "Oh, don't be so excited. I'm just here to see how you're doing." His voice was full of mockery and disdain, making Van Loon even more angry.
Van Loon tried hard to stay calm, but he really wanted to know why he had become like this and what Nightshadow's purpose was. He stared at Nightshadow closely, trying to calm his heart, but his anger and confusion could not be dispelled.
Night Shadow shook his hand, as if telling Van Loon not to be so excited. He said gently, "Calm down, only you can see me now. If you get so excited, everyone will be watching you!" He pointed to the surrounding goat herd, where a mother goat was lying on the ground, anxiously calling out to Van Loon, as if worried about him.
Van Loon turned to look at the surrounding goat, and indeed, they were all curiously watching him, seemingly puzzled by his earlier excitement. He also realized his own loss of composure, but he was filled with confusion and anger at the appearance of Night Shadow and his words.
Night Shadow continued, "Alright, you drink your milk, and I'll explain the situation to you!" His tone carried a hint of teasing, as if he didn't take Van Loon's emotions to heart. Van Loon was so angry that he hopped around on his four little feet, looking very displeased. Night Shadow couldn't help but burst into laughter at his appearance, saying, "Oh my, you're really so cute! Such a little Little lamb."
Van Loon was even more furious. He didn't want to be mocked by this demon, but he couldn't deny that his current appearance was indeed quite ridiculous. He tried hard to suppress his anger, walked back to his mother sheep, and began to suckle from her teat again, while keeping a close eye on Night Shadow, waiting for his explanation.
Night Shadow put away his smile and looked at Van Loon with a serious expression. He said, "Well, I know you must have a lot of questions, but for now, the most important thing is for you to adapt to your new identity. As for other matters, when you are ready, I will naturally tell you." His tone was unquestionable, forcing Van Loon to temporarily set aside his doubts and focus on adapting to the life in front of him.
He knew that Night Shadow's appearance meant that his new life would not be so simple, but he had no choice but to face everything that was to come head-on.
