Wang Xingxing's Cousin quickly covered her ears and shook her head at Song Pearl, saying, "I didn't hear anything!"
Wang Xingxing shot a glare at her cousin, "Don't talk, keep an eye on those people on the ground!"
"I'm not worried, I really don't have amnesia, I remember everything," Song Pearl muttered to herself, ignoring the two of them.
"Actually, no one else will remember this. Once they wake up, they'll be so scared of me that they won't dare to provoke me again," Wang Xingxing said, looking into Song Pearl's eyes. "Your eyes should be turning blue by now; why haven't they changed color yet?"
"Why?" Song Pearl asked. "Can my eyes change color? I haven't heard you say that before."
"Of course it's because your memory is poor. When your eyes emit blue light, everyone in this room will forget what just happened and will have a kind of illusion..." Wang Xingxing stared intently at Song Pearl without blinking.
"You weren't knocked silly by them, were you?" Song Pearl smirked slightly. "Stop making up stories. Although I'm a bit slow, I'm just as normal as you are. I don't have amnesia and I don't get into fights!"
Wang Xingxing scratched his head and stared at Song Pearl for a while before saying, "This time is different from before; you really seem normal!"
Wang Xingxing's Cousin stood up from the ground and said, "Cousin, you're the one who's not normal; their accomplices have come!"
As soon as Cousin finished speaking, more than ten people appeared at the door. The one in front, Big Guy, looked up and almost tripped as he walked in.
He cursed under his breath and looked down to see the previously knocked out thugs lying there with pale faces.
"Are they dead?" Big Guy thought to himself and quickly crouched down to check the nearest one, Curly Hair, placing his finger near their nostrils to feel for breath before he relaxed.
"Pearl, it's up to you now!"
Seeing so many people arrive, Wang Xingxing turned around and pulled Song Pearl, who was sitting behind him, out.
Song Pearl frowned. She was already nine-tenths convinced of Wang Xingxing's words; it seemed she really did have amnesia before. Otherwise, Wang Xingxing wouldn't be so fearless in pushing her out like this.
Is it really true that, as the book says, a fish's memory lasts only seven seconds? She is half fish and half human, so does that mean she forgets some things without even realizing it?
But how does Wang Xingxing know all this? If everyone involved forgets what happened, but Wang Xingxing doesn't, isn't that strange?
Did he already know that he was different from normal people?
She always thought that she wasn't bullied in school because Wang Xingxing protected her. Could it be that she was wrong? It wasn't Wang Xingxing protecting her; it was she who protected Wang Xingxing!
Had she really gotten into fights before? Was it always Wang Xingxing who pushed herself forward when they encountered bad people?
Song Pearl tried hard to think, but her mind was a mess, and the more she thought, the emptier it became.
Big Guy saw Wang Xingxing pull out a slender girl from behind her and couldn't help but laugh. Song Pearl was struggling to recall her past and didn't even notice the imposing figure in front of her.
Does Song Pearl no longer have superpowers now?
Wang Xingxing noticed that Song Pearl was in a daze and anxiously pulled her behind him, shouting, "Pearl, pay attention!"
After laughing, Big Guy didn't make a move. He pointed at the four people on the ground and asked, "Are my brothers okay?"
Seeing Big Guy's smile that didn't reach his eyes made Wang Xingxing's scalp tingle. If things got out of hand, he thought to himself, he would just call the police.
"They're fine; just splash some water on them to wake them up!" Wang Xingxing said cautiously while smiling.
"Wake them up!" Big Guy ordered.
"Wang Xingxing!" He turned around and gestured to Song Pearl.
"Are you still a man?" Big Guy sneered, patting Wang Xingxing on the shoulder. "Brother, get a cup of water and splash it on them to wake them up!"
How could I not be a man! Wang Xingxing took a deep breath, picked up the half cup of water left on the table, took a sip, and then leaned down to spray it all over the person on the ground.
This was how Pearl used to do it; after spraying water, the person she knocked out would wake up. I wonder if his method will work?
So that's how it is! Seeing Wang Xingxing's actions, Song Pearl suddenly realized that her superpower had always been there and had been used before; she just forgot about it, but Wang Xingxing had seen it and remembered.
"Why is there no reaction?" Big Guy glared at Wang Xingxing.
Wang Xingxing looked at Song Pearl, who bit her lip, smiled, and glanced at the ground. "Aren't they all awake now?"
As soon as she finished speaking, several people who were sprawled on the ground groaned and got up, clutching their waists and heads as if they were drunk.
"Since that's the case, then it's all good." Big Guy said expressionlessly to Wang Xingxing. "For this girl's sake, no one will cause trouble at your shop in the future. If anyone comes to cause trouble or demand money, just mention my name, Wang Guangtou, and it will definitely work."
"Great! Thank you so much!" Wang Xingxing quickly expressed her gratitude and introduced herself. "My last name is also Wang!"
"For my sake?" Song Pearl carefully looked at this Big Guy, who had well-defined features but a scar on his face, unsure of where she had seen him before.
"No pain, no gain. How about you brothers stay and have a meal with us? It's my treat!" Wang Xingxing suggested with good sense.
A meal? Hearing those two words reminded Song Pearl that this person had caused trouble at Han Village Machinery Factory last time and was taken down by Yuan Peng and Wan Jiang working together. In the end, Wan Jiang treated them to a meal at the factory.
I didn't expect this person to recognize me. Song Pearl's lips curled slightly; after a moment of tension, her facial skin returned to normal.
"No need!" Big Guy turned around and swaggered away with his group. The implication was that she wasn't qualified to treat him to a meal.
"Not eating is just right!"
After they left, Wang Xingxing rolled up his sleeves to tidy up the mess in the shop.
"Fortunately, nothing was broken," he said while cleaning up, "It's a good thing you were here, but you seem different from before. It seems that the saying 'a girl changes greatly at eighteen' is true!"
Cousin, who was sweeping the floor, couldn't help but twitch his mouth at Wang Xingxing's words and almost laughed out loud. Song Pearl rolled her eyes and said, "Stop making up stories. Do you even know what 'a girl changes greatly at eighteen' means?"
"How is that making it up?" Wang Xingxing pulled Cousin over and asked, "Do you remember who took down those four thugs just now?"
"You did!" Cousin replied disinterestedly, "I know you're impressive; no need to keep saying it!"
"What’s going on?" Wang Xingxing pointed at Cousin and then looked at Song Pearl. "Did your powers increase? You didn't change when you were eighteen; it seems like you've leveled up after that!"
"Don't mind him," Cousin helplessly pushed Wang Xingxing away and said to Song Pearl, "My cousin just learned how to play online games recently; his brain is rusty..."
