Wang Shunliu sat on the ground to rest for a while, slightly recovering his strength and mood. 0

He randomly grabbed a piece of rag from the ground and wiped his face. Supporting himself with his gun, Wang Shunliu slowly walked toward the staircase. 0

The wound on his shoulder had a significant impact on him; he felt that his hand was somewhat unsteady when holding things. 0

The view from the Small Building was wide open, and the window on the second floor faced the Corner Building. 0

"Regimental Commander, is that Wang Shunliu okay?" 0

Hu Lian shook his head. "I don't know either. Let's wait and see. How are the casualties in your battalion?" 0

The Second Battalion Commander sighed. "Sigh, more than half casualties is considered less, I guess. I'm not too clear right now; out of the three Company Commanders under me, two are dead, and one is injured and receiving treatment. He'll probably be sent to heaven by the Japanese artillery as well." 0

Hu Lian gently patted his shoulder without saying anything, only letting out a deep sigh. 0

"Regimental Commander, what about your guard company? Why didn't they follow you?" 0

Hu Lian's expression suddenly turned ugly as he glared fiercely at the Second Battalion Commander. "Them? I sent them out; I don't know if they all died or not. A bunch of useless people!" 0

The Second Battalion Commander grinned. "Regimental Commander, you can't blame the brothers in the guard company for that. I encountered them before; they were attacking a small Japanese soldier outpost at that time, and not one of them was a coward! It's just... just..." 0

"Just what? Just say it directly. I don't believe your Li Erlengzi can praise anyone! I remember my guard company didn't give you any good looks!" 0

The Second Battalion Commander awkwardly scratched his head. "You can't say it like that; we're all comrades. Seeing comrades sacrifice makes me feel bad too. Sigh, it's a pity about those good weapons. If our battalion had a platoon of Flower Mechanisms, I could guarantee we would take down that Luodian, but unfortunately, we don't have any!" 0

"You can't expect much from a dog’s mouth; one Li Erlengzi can't produce two heads. Is that your goal? The battle isn't even over, and you're asking me for weapons? Who should I ask?" 0

“Hey...” 0

Bureau Second Floor 0

Wang Shunliu carefully climbed up, crouching beneath the window, and slowly pushed open a small gap in the window. 0

“Bang, bang!” 0

Two bullets accurately struck the window, raising a cloud of dust. 0

“Peh, peh, peh!” Wang Shunliu brushed off the dust that had fallen on his head and rubbed his eyes. The Little Devils really had good marksmanship; their aim was precise. He had only opened a small gap and was already discovered. 0

Wang Shunliu placed his helmet on his gun and slowly pushed it up. 0

“Clang!” A crisp sound of metal colliding echoed as Wang Shunliu's helmet was directly knocked off by a bullet. 0

Corner Building, Japanese Sergeant slowly lowered his gun and let out a sigh of relief; he had finally taken out that damned Chinese. 0

“Oshima-kun, did you hit him?” 0

Japanese Sergeant nodded: “He’s been killed!” 0

“Oshima-kun, your shooting is really impressive. How many is that today?” 0

“Ninth one. One more and I’ll have double digits. These Chinese Soldiers are really foolish; don’t they know to use artillery?” 0

“Chinese Soldier? It must be a Chinese Soldier. Does China have artillery? How many guns can their army have? I think they gathered all the artillery in the country for the shelling this morning.” 0

······ 0

Bureau, Wang Shunliu waited for about a minute, crouched down, and slowly walked to the center of the room, picking up his helmet and adjusting it properly. 0

“Did you think I was dead? Now it's my turn!” 0

Wang Shunliu slowly extended the muzzle of his gun through a gap, focusing intently on the Corner Building not far away. 0

The Japanese Soldier was well concealed, mostly just a helmet visible, with their entire figure hidden behind various cover. 0

Wang Shunliu carefully selected his target, moving the muzzle slowly in search of prey. 0

“It’s you!” 0

A Japanese Soldier stood up to adjust their cover, exposing half of their body. 0

“Bang!” 0

Wang Shunliu decisively pulled the trigger, and the Japanese Soldier fell to the ground. 0

“One!” Wang Shunliu quickly retracted his gun and softly said, swiftly changing positions. 0

“Take cover!” 0

"There's a sniper! Take cover!" 0

The remaining Japanese Soldiers quickly reacted, hiding their bodies and began to suppress fire with their guns. 0

"Still from that position! Fire!" 0

The Japanese Sergeant shouted through gritted teeth, feeling extremely angry. Just moments ago, he had personally claimed to have killed an enemy, and right after saying that, one of his comrades was shot dead, a blatant slap in the face. 0

Machine Gun and Rifle bullets pierced through the wooden building and into the second floor, forcing Tie Zhu to escape down in a somewhat disheveled manner. 0

"Regimental Commander, the Japanese Soldiers are firing at the Small Building; it looks like Wang Shunliu has succeeded!" 0

The Second Battalion Commander pointed excitedly at the distant Corner Building where gunfire was erupting, his expression somewhat smug. 0

Hu Lian nodded: "Wang Shunliu should be fine. Prepare to charge; Wang Shunliu has drawn most of the Japanese Soldiers' attention. We'll flank them from the side roads!" 0

"Understood!" 0

Wang Shunliu crawled to the first floor, his arm wound starting to bleed again due to the intense movement earlier. 0

He tugged at the bandaged white cloth with force, gritting his teeth as he held his gun and approached the front door on the first floor. 0

Leaning against the door frame, he listened carefully to the gunfire outside, recalling what he had seen from the second floor. Wang Shunliu silently calculated the approximate positions of the Japanese Soldiers in his mind. 0

"There should be one at the left window on the second floor, half of his head exposed. This position offers the best shooting angle!" 0

Wang Shunliu quickly turned around, holding a gun at the door, exposing most of his body, and without hesitation, pulled the trigger aimed at the second floor! 0

After the crisp gunshot, Wang Shunliu squinted at the Corner Building. He missed; his arm had trembled when he fired, and the injury to his arm significantly affected his shooting accuracy! 0

Feeling a bit regretful, Wang Shunliu swiftly turned back inside, hugging the gun and hiding behind the Counter. 0

The bullets from the Japanese Soldier quickly followed, and the entire Small Building was likely swept by Japanese machine gun fire before it finally ceased. 0

Not far from the Corner Building, inside a building, a Japanese Soldier lay motionless on the ground with a scoped Rifle. The color of his Military Uniform was slightly lighter than that of ordinary Japanese Soldiers. He had a blade of grass in his mouth and his eyes were slightly closed as if he were resting. 0

"Hmm?" 0

The gunfire from not far away caused the previously motionless Japanese Soldier to open his eyes. 0

"Looks like it's time to get to work again." 0

He slowly crawled backward, his figure gradually disappearing into the Small Building. If one did not observe carefully, no one would notice that there was one less "person" here. 0

A light yellow figure slowly emerged from inside the building, moving very quickly as it darted between rooms, hardly lingering on the street for too long. 0

A few minutes later, the earth-colored figure appeared in a ruined Small Building. After rolling on the ground, the light yellow Military Uniform turned into a black Military Uniform. 0

The muzzle of the gun slowly extended out from a gap, aiming at the Corner Building. 0
