The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
After being struck by Shattered Corpse, No Bones Left, Duanmu Chong arrived at the Dreaming Medical Pavilion. The Divine Doctor examined his injuries and said, “This technique is a corrosive Demonic Arts that damages flesh. To heal it, you only need to obtain the stone from the Rock Peak Trial Stone.” Upon hearing this, Duanmu Chong could not delay and headed straight for Rock Peak. After observing Murong Mulong’s injuries, Yi Zhangzhi sighed and said, “Alas, it is my fault.”
Zhang Chongqing asked, “Do you have a way to treat him?”
Yi Zhangzhi replied, “Murong Mulong’s injuries have affected his internal organs severely, and his energy has stagnated; ordinary medicine will not work at all. I know of something that can quickly repair his energy and invigorate his blood flow; it is called Dragon's Saliva.”
Zhang Chongqing: “Dragon's Saliva? Isn’t that the saliva of the ferocious beast Taotie?”
Yi Zhangzhi responded, “Indeed. It is said that Taotie is the fifth offspring of the dragon, and its saliva carries the dragon’s bloodline; its effects are remarkable.”
Zhang Chongqing asked, “Do you know where to find Taotie?”
Yi Zhangzhi said, “It is rumored that there are man-eating beasts in the Humid and Hot Rainforest. According to eyewitnesses, this beast resembles a goat with a human face, its eyes located under its armpits, with tiger teeth and human claws, and it sounds like a baby; this could very well be Taotie.”
Zhang Chongqing further inquired, “Where is the Humid and Hot Rainforest located?”
Yi Zhangzhi answered, “At the southernmost point of the Southern Martial Arts Alliance.”
Zhang Chongqing remarked, “That beast Taotie, which eats people, is truly terrifying. Who would dare to capture it?”
Yi Zhangzhi, waving his Dust Whisk, said, “Leave this matter to me. I shall take my leave now.”
Zhang Chongqing bowed respectfully: “Safe travels.”
After leaving the Dreaming Medical Pavilion, Yi Zhangzhi transformed using the Demonic Arts Hua Ti Mian Dao Mo, addressing the Nightmare Demon: “Your mission is to obtain the saliva of the beast Taotie from the Humid and Hot Rainforest in the Southern Martial Arts Alliance.”
The Nightmare Demon replied, “As I return to the mortal realm, I certainly want to explore the beautiful landscapes of this martial world. As for Taotie, I will handle it when I am in a good mood. Farewell.” With that, he vanished into thin air.
Yi Zhangzhi helplessly said, "It's really hard to say!" He then headed towards the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain.
Duanmu Chong arrived at Rock Peak and said, "Test Stone, you are destined to become my prey." He then gathered his energy and struck the Test Stone with a powerful palm, resulting in a loud explosion as the Test Stone shattered into pieces. Duanmu Chong quickly collected several fragments and hurried to the Dreaming Medical Pavilion.
Upon arriving at the Dreaming Medical Pavilion, Duanmu Chong handed the Test Stone fragments to Zhang Chongqing. The Divine Doctor demonstrated his miraculous healing skills, and after a moment, the Shattered Corpse, No Bones Left technique that Duanmu Chong had suffered from was resolved, and the wound gradually healed. Duanmu Chong said, "This time, I owe it all to the Divine Doctor."
Zhang Chongqing replied, "Not at all. You brought the medicine for your injury; I merely lent a hand and do not dare take credit."
Duanmu Chong said, "Even so, without the Divine Doctor's skillful hands, I would have found it difficult to recover. Once again, I thank you, Divine Doctor. I have matters to attend to and must take my leave."
Zhang Chongqing said, "Duanmu Alliance Leader, take care."
The Nightmare Demon had just stepped out into the wilderness when he encountered a familiar figure speaking in reverse. The Nightmare Demon addressed the figure, "I have never believed in fate, but encountering you again—could it be another coincidence? Or is there truly a connection?"
The figure was startled upon seeing the Nightmare Demon, thinking he had seen a ghost. He exclaimed, "Are you a ghost or a person?"
The Nightmare Demon replied, "Hearing your words indeed brings joy to my heart. Ha!"
The figure approached the Nightmare Demon and touched him, saying, "What are you doing here? Are you dead or not?"
The Nightmare Demon responded, "No one in this world can kill me yet."
The figure asked again, "Where are you going? Are you still alive?"
The Nightmare Demon answered, "To the Southern Martial Arts Alliance."
The figure remarked, "Then let's go together to Linwu South. It’s much safer with you than alone. The situation in Linwu is chaotic now; what’s happening there is beyond my understanding."
Nightmare Demon: "Do as you wish, follow if you want."
Duanmu Chong arrived at Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors, where a towering building loomed before him. Duanmu Chong said at the entrance, "Owner of the building, Duanmu Chong has come to disturb you." A cloud ladder descended from above, accompanied by a voice saying, "Please come in." Duanmu Chong ascended the cloud ladder and arrived at the Eighteen Floors. At that moment, Dreamy Beauty was indulging in merriment, too preoccupied to notice Duanmu Chong. Seeing this, Duanmu Chong cleared his throat loudly several times. However, Dreamy Beauty remained indifferent and continued her revelry.
