The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
Yi Junsheng said, "You can consider yourself lucky to have escaped, Half-Bear Man. Otherwise, how could you have survived under my scissors?" Before Yi Junsheng could finish boasting, a Half-Leopard Man charged out from the depths of the jungle. The fierce and menacing appearance of the Half-Leopard Man was truly terrifying. Seeing the dire situation, Yi Junsheng and Sanwei Daoist turned and fled towards the forest's edge. The Half-Leopard Man pursued them relentlessly, eager for a meal. At that moment, a Half-Fly Man spotted Yi Junsheng and Sanwei Daoist and immediately flew towards them. Just as the Half-Leopard Man was about to catch up with Yi Junsheng and Sanwei Daoist, the Half-Fly Man struck the Half-Leopard Man with a powerful blow, declaring, "These two are my prey." Enraged by this, the Half-Leopard Man shifted his target to the Half-Fly Man, and a fierce battle ensued between them. Taking advantage of the chaos, Yi Junsheng and Sanwei Daoist escaped from the forest.
Once they were out, Yi Junsheng exclaimed, "That was close! I almost became a meal for a Half-Orc. It seems that the strange beings and events recorded in Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances truly exist. Fortunately, a Half-Insect Man came to snatch away the food; otherwise, the martial world would have lost another hero today. We must hurry back to Martial Bamboo Divine Domain to inform A Piece of Paper about these strange beings and events. Sanwei Daoist, let’s go!" Sanwei Daoist resumed his role as a driver, carrying Yi Junsheng towards Martial Bamboo Divine Domain.
After leaving Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors, Yi Zhangzhi arrived at Southern Martial Arts Alliance's Awakening Sea Music Academy to see the academy's headmaster Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zhi, Yu performing solo. As Yi Zhangzhi was about to state his purpose, Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zhi, Yu interrupted him: "The enemies of Martial Arts Sect are my enemies as well. Guards! Quickly capture this person!" At this moment, many disciples of Awakening Sea Music Academy surrounded Yi Zhangzhi. Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zhi, Yu personally engaged Yi Zhangzhi in combat; they exchanged blows for dozens of rounds. Yi Zhangzhi did not wish to kill anyone and spoke while fighting: "Headmaster, do not assist tyranny or become an accomplice to evil." Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zhi, Yu ignored him and continued attacking. With no other choice, Yi Zhangzhi feigned several moves before retreating. Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zhi, Yu said: "Consider yourself lucky to have escaped; otherwise my sound would have sent you to Nine Springs."
Once outside, Yi Zhangzhi remarked: "Headmaster Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zhi, Yu should not be like this. Could it be that he truly submits to Duanmu Chong's tyranny? This is unimaginable." He then left.
Duanmu Chong led his troops to Southern Martial Arts Daughters Clan with the intention of obtaining the Fountain of Conception. However, how could the sacred artifact of the Daughter Clan be easily acquired by outsiders? The clan leader Shu Heng commanded her warriors to gather and prepare to resist Duanmu Chong's army. Duanmu Chong declared: "Hand over Nurturing Well obediently; I might spare your lives. Otherwise today will mark the end of Daughter Clan in the martial world."
Shu Heng replied: "Who are you to covet our sacred water?"
Duanmu Chong responded: "It seems you do not wish to hand over Nurturing Well. Guards! Leave no one alive; kill them all!"
With a single command from Duanmu Chong, a horrific massacre began. The members of Martial Arts Sect were highly skilled and outnumbered; they inflicted heavy casualties on Daughter Clan warriors as bodies fell everywhere. Even though the Female Soldiers of Daughter Clan were determined to protect their clan at all costs, their resistance proved futile against the overwhelming force of Martial Arts Sect; they were simply too weak—so weak they were less than ants. Many Female Soldiers fought valiantly to protect their only hope—the clan leader Shu Heng—using their blood and bodies to carve a path for her escape. Shu Heng refused to abandon her people even in death when Da Shu urged her: "Leader! You are our only hope; you must survive to avenge us! Hurry!" Two Female Soldiers forcibly pulled Shu Heng away from the battlefield.
After some time had passed, all members of Daughter Clan were slaughtered by Martial Arts Faction forces. Duanmu Chong obtained the Fountain of Conception as he wished. Upon drinking from it, Duanmu Chong's body suddenly radiated red light that illuminated the ground. He felt an endless flow of true energy circulating within him and exclaimed: "It seems that the rumors in Jianghu are true; Fountain of Conception indeed enhances one's power! Hahaha!" After several hearty laughs, he struck down Nurturing Well with a palm and declared: "From today onward Nurturing Well shall also disappear from Martial Arts Alliance; only I shall enjoy Fountain of Conception! Hahaha!"
Having escaped from danger, Shu Heng wept uncontrollably while two Female Soldiers comforted her nearby. However, having just witnessed her clan's annihilation and seeing her people fall one by one before her eyes brought pain and regret that few could understand. Shu Heng felt immense sorrow and guilt; if not for her own inadequacy, her people would not have been slaughtered. At that moment she wished for nothing more than to die in atonement for her clan's spirits. Yet she knew that vengeance for her clan could not be overlooked; she could not allow their enemies to roam free—she must avenge them! Vengeance became Shu Heng's sole purpose in life now. Wiping away her tears she said: "We must find that Demon from last time and ask for his help."
Female Soldier Ruyan replied: "That Demon is highly skilled; he can surely help us take revenge."
Shu Heng said: "No! I am not seeking him out just for help with revenge; I want him to teach me martial arts so I can take revenge myself."
Ruyan responded: "That makes sense; let’s go."
After leaving the Awakening Sea Music Academy, Yi Zhangzhi arrived at the Martial Arts Tribunal, where Iron-Faced Impartial - Bao Qing was not welcoming of his presence. Yi Zhangzhi said, "Bao Qing, I have come for the fate of the Martial Arts Community; please set aside our personal grievances for now."
Bao Qing replied, "Since you have put it this way, if I were to be ungracious, it would only show my narrow-mindedness. Speak your mind."
Yi Zhangzhi continued, "You are indeed a reasonable person, Bao Qing. As we all know, Duanmu Chong from the Martial Arts Sect is rampaging and slaughtering the Martial Arts Community. We all have a responsibility to stop this from happening. If we do not eliminate this tumor from the martial world soon, it will fall into an irretrievable abyss. Therefore, I wish to request the Martial Arts Tribunal to take action against Duanmu Chong."
Bao Qing said, "Our Martial Arts Tribunal is weak and cannot bear the heavy responsibility of confronting Duanmu Chong."
Yi Zhangzhi responded, "I have already contacted several masters and various sects. If we unite to fight against the Martial Arts Sect, our chances of success will be greater."
Bao Qing replied, "Alright then. Notify me when there is action to be taken."
Yi Zhangzhi said, "It is settled then. I shall take my leave for now."
Yi Junsheng returned from Northern Martial Arts to the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain and was horrified to see many Taoist Sect members lying dead on the ground, their tragic state unbearable to witness. Yi Junsheng and Sanwei Daoist buried these bodies on the back mountain of the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. Yi Junsheng lamented, "These Taoist Sect members only thought of my brother One Piece of Paper when they were dying. Back then, they mercilessly expelled A Piece of Paper from the Taoist Sect; now they are undoubtedly reaping what they sowed." At that moment, Yi Zhangzhi returned from the Martial Arts Tribunal to the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain, where Yi Junsheng informed him about the deaths of the Taoist Sect members. Hearing this news filled Yi Zhangzhi with regret; after all, they had been his fellow disciples for many years and were now all gone, leaving him heartbroken.
Yi Junsheng said, "There must be something hateful about those who are pitiful; you shouldn't be too sad. You still need to focus on dealing with that dreadful Duanmu Chong."
Yi Zhangzhi replied, "You are right. What brings you back here?" Yi Junsheng then recounted what he encountered in Northern Martial Arts.
Yi Zhangzhi said, "Let’s put that aside for now; our primary target remains Duanmu Chong. Please seek out the Black Design Society to help us deal with Duanmu Chong."
Yi Junsheng exclaimed loudly, "What? Do you think your brother runs a money shop? Hiring the Black Design Society requires a lot of Silver Coins!"
Yi Zhangzhi responded, "This time we won't need Silver Coins. Just tell the people from the Black Design Society that our target is Duanmu Chong; they will help us."
Yi Junsheng said, "How did you know?"
Yi Zhangzhi replied, "Because the Afang Palace of the Black Design Society has been destroyed by Duanmu Chong with a single strike. They must be seeking revenge, and now that the opportunity has come, they will certainly seize it."
Yi Junsheng said, "I see. I will go find the members of the Black Design Society."
In the dense forest, the Nightmare Demon strolled along. Suddenly, Medicine King Sun Simiao approached with his prized creation, Yamada Koji. The distance between the three grew closer, and the Nightmare Demon recognized Yamada Koji and Sun Simiao. The Nightmare Demon said, "Medicine King Sun Simiao, you brought Yamada Koji back to life? Why is he walking like a normal person now?"
Sun Simiao replied, "The current Yamada Koji is not what he used to be; he is now a top-tier expert."
The Nightmare Demon said, "Oh, really? Then I must test what skills this top-tier expert you speak of possesses."
Yi Junsheng arrived at the second base of the Black Design Society, Gusu Palace. He greeted Gao Jianli, saying, "High President, business has come knocking, but this time it's a no-money deal."
Tension filled the air. The Nightmare Demon wanted to test Yamada Koji after his transformation; what would be the outcome of this confrontation? As Yi Junsheng arrived at the second base of the Black Design Society, would he be able to hire a killer from the Black Design Society without any money?
