The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
Not far from Tongfu Inn, Eastern Proud Dragon angrily confronted Yi Junsheng and Sanwei Daoist. Fueled by vengeance, Eastern Proud Dragon swung his axe at Yi Junsheng. Yi Junsheng, having been hunted multiple times, was filled with rage and fought back fiercely with a pair of giant scissors against Eastern Proud Dragon. Eastern Proud Dragon was solely focused on killing Yi Junsheng, directing all his heavy attacks towards him. With inferior martial skills, Yi Junsheng soon found himself at a disadvantage. In order to protect Yi Junsheng, Sanwei Daoist made a self-sacrificial move, firmly grabbing Eastern Proud Dragon's legs to prevent him from moving an inch, saying, "Yi Junsheng, hurry and escape! Don't worry about me."
At this moment, the cowardly Yi Junsheng covered his face and fled. Eastern Proud Dragon did not want Yi Junsheng to escape; he raised his Great Axe to clear the way. With a powerful swing, he decapitated Sanwei Daoist, ending his ordinary yet extraordinary life. After Sanwei Daoist's death, Eastern Proud Dragon quickly pursued Yi Junsheng.
As he ran, Yi Junsheng lamented, "Sanwei Daoist, your death is truly tragic and heroic. I will erect a monument for you and sing your praises; you can rest in peace." With Eastern Proud Dragon closing in behind him, Yi Junsheng had no choice but to flee towards the swamp where Yamada Koji's body lay discarded. Arriving just ahead of Eastern Proud Dragon at the swamp, he began to dig out Yamada Koji's corpse from the mud. At that moment, Eastern Proud Dragon arrived in fury and declared, "White Face, you have nowhere to run! Surrender quietly and I will leave your corpse intact."
Yi Junsheng retorted, "Damn Tall Guy, it's not that easy to kill me." He then made a surprising move by slowly bringing his head closer to Yamada Koji's nose. Although Yamada Koji had been modified by Medicine King Sun Simiao, remnants of Divine Doctor Zhang Chongxing's failed experiments still lingered on him—specifically, the ability to absorb the life force of living beings. Ignoring the situation around him and consumed by hatred, Li Taibai furiously waved his feather fan and launched an attack. The disciples of Poetry Sect—Bai Juyi and Lu You—would not allow a traitor to wreak havoc here and stepped forward to confront Li Taibai. Although Li Taibai had once been a standout member of Poetry Sect, facing the overwhelming numbers of disciples attacking like waves made it difficult for him to withstand their assault; the situation quickly turned dire for him. Under siege by numerous disciples of Poetry Sect, Li Taibai found himself struggling defensively as he sustained multiple injuries before being captured by Bai Juyi and others. To establish an image of kindness and humility among the disciples, Du Fu said, "Although this person was once a traitor of Poetry Sect, he has been expelled from our ranks and is now unrelated to us. We are merely maintaining order within our sect by capturing this troublemaker. He has caused us no losses; you should just expel him from Poetry Sect."
Upon hearing this, Bai Juyi remarked, "The sect leader is indeed magnanimous towards this traitor; your mercy is commendable! Traitor, do thank the sect leader for sparing your life!"
Li Taibai spat back, "Bah! Hypocritical Du Fu! Your false facade won't last long; I will expose it sooner or later!" Before Li Taibai could finish speaking, Bai Juyi and others carried him out of Poetry Sect and roughly threw him onto the ground outside the door, causing him pain that made him clench his fists tightly. Li Taibai then declared, "I won't let this go!" before stumbling away from Poetry Sect.
Yi Junsheng used Mountain Armor II to escape from Eastern Proud Dragon's clutches as he raced towards Confucius Academy—the site of past literary contests. Without hesitation, he dashed into Confucius Academy where he saw a man and woman arguing upon entering. Yi Junsheng said, "You two noisy students! Someone is trying to kill me! Please help me; we can't let that damn Tall Guy enter!"
At that moment, Eastern Proud Dragon charged in with his Great Axe raised to strike at Yi Junsheng. The two students present would not allow anyone to commit violence within their academy; they joined forces to resist Eastern Proud Dragon. The two students worked seamlessly together as they maneuvered around Eastern Proud Dragon while engaging him in battle. Faced with two opponents instead of one for the first time in a while proved challenging for Eastern Proud Dragon; he struggled greatly and ultimately retreated from Confucius Academy to regroup elsewhere. Seeing that the two students had driven off his pursuer, Yi Junsheng expressed gratitude: "Thank you both for saving me! However, I need another favor: that damn Tall Guy is likely waiting outside for me; I can't leave just yet or I'll be dead for sure! So I wish to stay here for a while."
One of the students replied: "In that case, I will inform Confucian Academy."
Yi Junsheng said, "Thank you, this student who saves people from suffering. You are my lifesaver; I will surely repay you handsomely in the future."
The student replied, "Helping others does not seek any reward; you need not be so formal. I will go to the Confucian Academy now." With that, he left the scene.
The leader of the Daughter Clan, Shu Heng, who was still recovering from old injuries caused by the Half-Leopard Man's attack, found his family's enemy, Duanmu Chong, on the way to Tongfu Inn. At that moment, Duanmu Chong was heading towards his hidden base at the Martial Arts Auction. Upon seeing his family's enemy, Shu Heng's anger surged, and hatred filled his face. He unleashed his skills and attacked the monk-clad Duanmu Chong.

Facing this deadly attack, even with all his might to block it, he could not withstand Duanmu Chong's ultimate move and was sent flying dozens of feet away, spitting blood and sustaining severe injuries. His eyes reflected a sense of loss and despair, evoking sympathy.
At that moment, Duanmu Chong launched another attack, sending a powerful wave of palm energy towards Shu Heng with overwhelming force, determined to take his life.
