Inside the Tongfu Inn, Huangfu Mingmo questioned Murong Mulong about sheltering Yi Zhangzhi. Murong Mulong said, "What crime has Yi Zhangzhi committed that you target him so? Don't you understand this is the scheme of a villain?"

The Sword Saint was not to be outdone; he unsheathed the Mogan Sword and remained still while unleashing his technique, Thousand Miles Soul Slaying. In an instant, an energy surged like a rainbow, causing evil spirits to retreat and gods and demons to marvel. When their techniques clashed for the first time, a loud bang echoed as their energies destroyed all tables and chairs within the inn. Both fighters retreated three steps; neither had gained an advantage.
Huangfu Mingmo exclaimed, "This is a true opponent; exhilarating! Hahaha!" He then leaped toward Murong Mulong, and they engaged in close-quarters combat. The two divine weapons forged by Divine Craftsman Ou Ziya clashed for the first time, creating countless sparks that dazzled the eyes.
