The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
As the sun set and night fell, the army of Half-Orcs and Half-Dragons, led by the Half Locust Man, launched an attack on the Eighteen Floors. The first line of defense at Eighteen Floors, which had lost its formation, was easily breached by the Half Locust Man and his forces. The crowd arrived at the entrance of the first floor of Eighteen Floors, where the Half-Dragon, known as Snow Before Shame, struck first, delivering a powerful blow to the door. The door shattered instantly under the force of his palm energy, scattering debris everywhere.
With a flick of his dragon tail, the Half-Dragon entered the building, ready to kill everyone inside. Moments after he entered, a scream echoed from outside. The Half Locust Man, unaware of what was happening inside, hesitated to enter. After a while, another scream rang out from within, identifiable as that of the Half-Dragon.
At this moment, one of the Half-Dragon's subordinates, the Half Jackal, could no longer contain himself and rushed inside. What he saw was a massive cage trapping the Half-Dragon, with bolts of lightning striking down from above to electrocute him. The Half-Dragon appeared to be in great pain within the cage. The Half Jackal unleashed a palm strike at the cage door in an attempt to free the Half-Dragon. However, his attack was like a mud cow entering the sea; it left the cage door completely unscathed. Just as he pondered how to rescue the Half-Dragon, another cage fell from the second floor and landed on him, followed by another bolt of lightning. The Half Jackal was electrocuted and instantly perished. After his death, the cage trapping the Half-Jackal rose again, seemingly waiting for its next victim.
Seeing his subordinate's tragic fate filled the Half-Dragon with rage. He struck again at the cage that confined him. However, he was met with even more intense lightning strikes. Due to his deep foundation in power, he did not die from being struck but felt unbearable pain. Even such a proud creature as the Half-Dragon could not help but cry out in agony from this torturous pain.
Outside, Duanmu Chong spoke up: "Master of the building, I advise you to surrender. Do not struggle in vain; I assure you that if you surrender, no one will harm you."
At that moment, Dreamy Beauty appeared at the entrance of the Eighteenth Floor: "You sinner of the martial world, Duanmu Chong! Are you asleep at this time? How can you utter such foolish words? How should Dreamy Consort respond to this? Hahaha!"
Duanmu Chong was furious upon hearing this and declared: "Everyone follow me to kill those inside and eliminate Dreamy Beauty to rescue Beast King." With that, Duanmu Chong leaped into action and flew up to the Eighteenth Floor to confront Dreamy Beauty. However, when he arrived on the eighteenth floor, Dreamy Beauty had already vanished; only her illusion remained at the entrance. At this point, Duanmu Chong realized that Dreamy Beauty had never left the building. He exerted all his strength against the door but could not break through it; thus he had no choice but to descend and enter from the first floor.
A multitude of Half-Orcs entered through the first-floor door as Female Guards emerged inside to resist the Half-Beast Army. Seeing this situation outside, the Half Locust Man could only command his forces to assist in attacking alongside the Half-Orcs. With a command from him, all members of the Half-Insect Army also entered the building. Suddenly, with a slam of the door and extinguishing lights, darkness enveloped everything inside; no one could see their own hands in front of their faces as Half-Orcs and Half-Insect Army members began slaughtering each other.
Yi Zhangzhi arrived at the outskirts of Eighteen Floors but saw that all of the Half-Orcs and Half-Insect Army had already entered. As Yi Zhangzhi prepared to take flight and enter through the Eighteenth Floor's door, Huangfu Mingmo arrived shortly after. With swift attacks that left no room for blinking, Yi Zhangzhi could only face Huangfu Mingmo outside. At this moment, sounds of battle erupted from within; it was chaotic and thunderous. Yi Zhangzhi called out: "Mr. Huangfu! Inside are all Half-Orcs and Half-Insect Men; do you wish to waste time here with me or contribute something for our martial world?"
After a moment's hesitation, Huangfu Mingmo decided against fighting: "I'll let you go this time; once I finish dealing with those monsters inside, I'll come back for you." With that said, Huangfu Mingmo struck at the first-floor door with his sword in preparation to break through and engage with the Half-Orcs. However, Yi Zhangzhi stopped him: "That door cannot be broken; otherwise, both Half-Orcs and Half-Insect Men will escape from here. It will be much more troublesome when we need to hunt them down later."
Huangfu Mingmo asked: "If we can't enter, what will you do?"
Yi Zhangzhi pointed at Eighteenth Floor: "Enter from up there." Immediately, Yi Zhangzhi leaped up to Eighteenth Floor, followed by Huangfu Mingmo. Dreamy Beauty quickly opened the door to welcome the guests, covering her face with a smile, saying: "Yi Lang, the cage you provided is truly useful. I really wish the one trapped inside was you, hahaha! But back to the point, how do you plan to deal with these beasts next?"
Yi Zhangzhi replied: "Eliminate evil completely. Today, Mr. Huangfu is also here, so let Mr. Huangfu showcase his skills and make an important contribution to the survival of the martial world."
Huangfu Mingmo made a disdainful expression: "Remember, today I am here to eliminate threats to the martial world, not to help you, Yi Zhangzhi." After saying this, Huangfu Mingmo entered Eighteenth Floor.
Inside Eighteenth Floor, a chaotic battle broke out between the Half-Orc and the Half-Insect Man, as visibility was poor. The Female Guards of Eighteenth Floor joined the fight. Duanmu Chong jumped onto the cage that trapped the Half-Dragon, trying to rescue it. However, no matter how much effort Duanmu Chong put in, it was futile. The Half-Dragon said: "Why don't we both strike from inside and outside the cage and see if we can break it?"
Duanmu Chong agreed: "Alright." Then, Duanmu Chong gathered his inner strength and unleashed his palm energy; the Half-Dragon did the same. Both struck simultaneously from inside and outside the cage. With a loud bang, the Half-Dragon broke free from the cage and spun into the air, heading straight for Eighteenth Floor. Seeing this, Duanmu Chong also soared upwards towards Eighteenth Floor. When they arrived at Eighteenth Floor, they found themselves facing Huangfu Mingmo. The Half-Dragon, having been struck by lightning, was severely injured. Yet it still tried to appear strong, attacking Huangfu Mingmo. Upon seeing Yi Zhangzhi above, Duanmu Chong felt a chill in his heart and said: "Not good, we've fallen into a trap."
Dreamy Beauty laughed heartily while covering her mouth with her sleeve, saying: "Hahaha! Old thief Duanmu, haven't I treated you well? I specifically invited your most wanted enemy, Yi Zhangzhi, you should be grateful to me!"
Duanmu Chong, glaring angrily at Dreamy Beauty, said: "Dreamy Beauty, is this your plan?" Although he knew he had been tricked, he still launched an attack towards Yi Zhangzhi. Together, Dreamy Beauty and Yi Zhangzhi faced off against Duanmu Chong. Outnumbered and at a disadvantage in strength, Duanmu Chong fought desperately as the situation turned dire. After several exchanges, he found himself overwhelmed and sustained multiple injuries from palm strikes. With no mercy shown, Dreamy Beauty targeted his vital points with every move. After several more exchanges, she struck him down from Eighteenth Floor to the bottom level, severely injuring his internal organs and rendering him unable to use his inner strength.
Meanwhile, in the battle between Huangfu Mingmo and the Half-Dragon, the latter was already exhausted from previous injuries; while Huangfu Mingmo, filled with righteous anger and abundant energy, faced little consumption of power. The battle had turned overwhelmingly in favor of Huangfu Mingmo. The body of the Half-Dragon bore several traces of sword energy from the Sword God. Not wanting to be defeated by Huangfu Mingmo, it endured its injuries and prepared its ultimate move—Divine Dragon in Motion—ready for a decisive strike. At that moment, Dreamy Beauty swiftly struck first towards the Half-Dragon, cutting off its attack before it could even begin. The impact sent the Half-Dragon flying out of Eighteen Floors, landing outside on the ground, barely alive with only a breath left. Dreamy Beauty said: "You wanted to unleash your ultimate move to destroy my Eighteen Floors, you deserve to die for that! Hahaha!"
After being knocked down to the first level by Dreamy Beauty, Duanmu Chong quickly informed the situation to the Half Locust Man. Realizing they were in danger, the latter gathered their true essence for a powerful strike against the door and immediately ordered everyone to retreat. The forces of both the Half-Orc and the injured Half-Dragon quickly withdrew from Eighteen Floors. As they reached outside, they saw the barely breathing form of the Half-Dragon. Then, Duanmu Chong instructed other remaining Half-Orc members to take the injured Half-Dragon with them as they fled. At this moment, Yi Zhangzhi , Dreamy Beauty , and Huangfu Mingmo blocked their path. Half Locust Man exclaimed: " Yi Zhangzhi ! It's you again! You really are a persistent ghost!" After saying this, Half Locust Man attacked Yi Zhangzhi . Meanwhile, Half-Fly Man , Half Butterfly Person , Half-Panther Person and other skilled Half-Insect Men engaged Huangfu Mingmo and Dreamy Beauty while other Half-Orc and Half-Insect Men fled.
As Duanmu Chong and others escaped towards Northern Martial Arts along their way, they encountered several individuals including Ouyang Xiu , Zhu Yingtai , and Liang Shanbo who appeared to intercept them. Seeing this situation, Duanmu Chong said: "The remnants of Confucius Academy ! Do you want revenge for your disciples? Do you think just a few of you can block our path? Since you wish to go to hell with your classmates, I will fulfill your wish. Come on! Kill!" With that command from Duanmu Chong , remnants of Half-Orc surrounded Ouyang Xiu and others preparing to kill them. Ouyang Xiu initiated combat first while Liang Shanbo followed suit against the remaining Half-Orc as Duanmu Chong continued fleeing towards Northern Martial Arts .
Outside of Eighteen Floors battle scene; seeing that Duanmu Chong had gone far away; Half Locust Man lost interest in continuing fighting; thus feigned a few moves before ordering everyone to retreat. Huangfu Mingmo intended to pursue but Yi Zhangzhi said: "Do not chase a desperate enemy; let them leave. This time both Half-Orc and Half-Insect Man suffered heavy losses; they will likely not act against our martial world for some time now. We should take this opportunity to plan thoroughly on how to completely eliminate these treacherous wolves." At this moment Huangfu Mingmo swung his sword at Yi Zhangzhi saying: "The matter of foreign invasion has been dealt with; now it's time for us to settle our own issues."
Yi Zhangzhi said: "Please stop! We don't have to resolve our issues through violence!" Yi Zhangzhi could only use his inner strength defensively against Huangfu Mingmo 's attack. At this moment Dreamy Beauty made her move as she struck towards Huangfu Mingmo .
Duanmu Chong and others arrived at the border between Northern Martial Arts and the Central Plains, at which point Medicine King Sun Simiao unexpectedly appeared. Upon seeing the dying Half-Dragon, Sun Simiao remarked, "Oh, is the evil person about to face retribution?"
Tension filled the air. Duanmu Chong brought the remnants of the Half-Orc and Half-Insect Man to the border of Northern Martial Arts to confront Sun Simiao. What actions would Sun Simiao take? Huangfu Mingmo fought fiercely against Yi Zhangzhi for love once again, while Dreamy Beauty stepped forward. How would this entanglement come to an end? Ouyang Xiu, Liang Shanbo, and others sought revenge for their fallen comrades against the Half-Orc. Would they succeed in avenging them?
