The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
At the entrance of the Poetry Sect, a fierce battle raged on, with many disciples from the Famous Sword Society suffering heavy casualties. Meanwhile, Liang Shanbo, Du Fu, and Chen Qi were also defeated one after another, leaving everyone in a grim situation. At that moment, Yi Junsheng, Zhuge Kongming, and others from the Martial Arts Community arrived. They quickly recognized that the person fighting against the Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances was Duanmu Chong. Yi Junsheng exclaimed, "It really is that damned old thief Duanmu! Fellow members of the Martial Arts Community, let's quickly help take him down."
Zhuge Kongming joined the fray against Duanmu Chong; Reverse Head faced off against the Divine Turtle Eternal Life who had defeated Liang Shanbo; Fan Buzhao battled Di Tong Shou who had bested Du Fu; Sima Qian and Hua Mulan teamed up against the top swordsman of Eternal Years, Years Leave No Trace; while Yi Junsheng and other members of the Martial Arts Community confronted other disciples from Eternal Years.
Despite being lightly injured, Shu Heng's fighting spirit remained undiminished as she wielded her staff to confront her enemy Duanmu Chong. Surrounded by three opponents, Duanmu Chong boasted shamelessly, "Even if there were three more, I would not be afraid." However, with Zhuge Kongming joining the battle, the situation began to turn against Duanmu Chong. Although Zhuge Kongming's martial arts were far inferior to Duanmu Chong's, his coordination with Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances and Shu Heng proved effective in disrupting Duanmu Chong's tactics. The encirclement of Duanmu Chong was not only for avenging Shu Heng's kin but also for maintaining peace in the martial world. Duanmu Chong's inner strength was formidable; as his palm winds swept through, wood and stone flew about in a cloud of dust. Although he was on the defensive, he remained undefeated.
Reverse Head had just recovered from old injuries and found it somewhat challenging to face Divine Turtle Eternal Life after a long period of inactivity. Divine Turtle Eternal Life pressed forward relentlessly with his spear, seeking to claim lives with every step. Reverse Head adopted a defensive stance, dodging every attack and hiding at every opportunity. He desperately tried to buy time, but Divine Turtle Eternal Life would not allow Reverse Head's schemes to succeed. With fierce attacks unleashed, Reverse Head found himself in perilous situations.
Fan Buzhao faced Di Tong Shou wielding dual swords but could not gain an advantage and instead found himself at risk of defeat. Fan Buzhao made frequent mistakes during the fight, allowing Di Tong Shou to seize opportunities and inflict injuries. Within just a few exchanges, Fan Buzhao was defeated.
Sima Qian wielded a long spear while Hua Mulan held a long sword against Years Leave No Trace, whose blade had yet to be unsheathed. Despite being two against one, Sima Qian and Hua Mulan remained at a disadvantage. After several probing moves from Years Leave No Trace, he finally drew his blade; in an instant, its gleam dazzled the eyes as its energy surged toward Sima Qian and Hua Mulan. Hua Mulan spun her sword to block but found herself pushed back by the overwhelming force of Years Leave No Trace's attack. Sima Qian thrust his spear toward Years Leave No Trace's blade energy but lacked sufficient internal strength and was similarly forced back several steps. Years Leave No Trace unleashed another wave of blade energy despite his injuries; two streams of scorching air accompanied by flames charged toward them. Sima Qian and Hua Mulan exerted all their power into their weapons, launching fierce energy blasts to counter Years Leave No Trace's attack. However, their skills paled in comparison to Years Leave No Trace's; under such a clear disparity in strength, both suffered injuries.
After an hour of intense combat, Reverse Head, Fan Buzhao, Sima Qian, and Hua Mulan fell one after another while Yi Junsheng and other members of the Martial Arts Community were also routed by disciples from Eternal Years. Only Duanmu Chong’s battle with Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances and Zhu Yingtai’s fight against Stone Never Decays remained unresolved. After Di Tong Shou and others defeated their respective opponents, they joined in assisting Duanmu Chong while Zhu Yingtai was injured by a Dao Fire attack from Years Leave No Trace and could no longer continue fighting.
Di Tong Shou and Divine Turtle Eternal Life separated Zhuge Kongming and Shu Heng to prevent them from surrounding Duanmu Chong alone; thus Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances faced Duanmu Chong alone as the tide began to turn in favor of Eternal Years. Seeing many members of the Martial Arts Community suffering heavy losses and knowing that continuing would lead to total annihilation, Yi Junsheng called for a retreat. Upon hearing this command, everyone fled from the front of Poetry Sect; Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances saw no benefit in continuing to fight and feigned several moves before dragging a reluctant Shu Heng away from the scene while Zhuge Kongming also could not stay any longer—he swung his sword several times before retreating.
At this moment within Poetry Sect came an order—the voice of Eternal: "Everyone immediately pursue them; we must eliminate these people." Hearing this command, those from Eternal Years exerted all their strength to chase after Yi Junsheng and other remnants of their forces. Though Duanmu Chong had his own plans in mind, he could not refuse the will of the Lord and could only hasten his pursuit.
As Yi Junsheng and Zhuge Kongming discussed where to escape while on the run, Yi Junsheng said: "The safest place in the Martial Arts Alliance right now is Enchantress’s Eighteen Floors; I suggest we head there."
Fan Buzhao hurriedly replied: "Going to Eighteen Floors may not be feasible; Dreamy Beauty is both righteous and wicked—if we seek her help, she may not confront those from Eternal Years for our sake; we might end up with no way out."
Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances suggested: "We will split up; I will go with Shu Heng to Dreaming Medical Pavilion while you all escape in another direction." After saying this, Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances took Shu Heng away from Yi Junsheng and others.
Yi Junsheng defended Dreamy Beauty: "I believe Enchantress is definitely not someone who would take advantage of others without reason; let us boldly head toward Eighteen Floors."
Fan Buzhao countered: "We must be cautious—facing those from Eternal Years is not merely about taking a small risk; it’s literally risking our lives! Do you think Dreamy Beauty would fight for us? If we go there, she will likely only shelter you since you once had relations with her as White Face; our fates would be left to chance."
Yi Junsheng declared: "I don’t care where you all escape to; I am going to Eighteen Floors! If you don’t follow me then just seek your own fortune." With that said, Yi Junsheng headed alone toward Eighteen Floors. Other members of the Martial Arts Community saw this and believed following Yi Junsheng would ensure their survival; thus most followed him toward Eighteen Floors.
Zhuge Kongming: "Dreamy Beauty is fickle. It would be better for us not to go to Eighteen Floors. I suggest we head to Famous Sword Society. There are surely many experts gathered at Famous Sword Society, and I doubt that the people from Eternal Years would dare to act recklessly there."
Chen Qiyan: "Yes, everyone hurry and follow me to Famous Sword Society." Thus, Zhuge Kongming, Fan Buzhao, Hua Mulan, and Sima Qian followed Chen Qi and the others from Famous Sword Society to escape towards Famous Sword Society.
The relentless pursuers from Eternal Years saw Yi Junsheng and the others fleeing in three directions. Duanmu Chong said: "Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances are escaping towards Dreaming Medical Pavilion, Yi Junsheng and his group are fleeing towards Eighteen Floors, while Zhuge Zi and his group are heading to Famous Sword Society. Among them, Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances are highly skilled, and there are also many experts at Dreaming Medical Pavilion recovering from injuries. It would be unwise for us to split our forces to chase after Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances. If we pursue them with our entire army, it will lead to a fierce battle. The guards responded: "Understood." Immediately, several guards took Liang Shanbo and the other two back to Eternal Years.
After the Lingxie Demon Domain's Evil Demon Reincarnation and others failed their attack on Eighteen Floors, they returned to Judicial Court. Demon Among Demons saw Evil Demon Reincarnation return injured and was puzzled, asking: "How could a mere Dreamy Beauty stop the steps of the Demon Lord? Tension filled the air as "Duanmu Chong" and his followers arrived at the Famous Sword Society intending to kill "Zhuge Kongming" and others from the Martial Arts Community. How would the people of the Famous Sword Society respond? Having trusted Golden Phantom's information, Huangfu Mingmo came to Yun Yin Temple to eliminate his rival; could the Celibacy Master stop him? What would be the outcome of the entanglement between Demon Among Demons and Yin Yang Person Liu Yi? What fate awaited Du Fu and the others as they were taken to Eternal Years?
