The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
The Nightmare Demon, who has fallen into the path of evil, continues to slaughter the innocent in the Martial Arts Alliance. Today, the flames of war have reached the Yun Yin Temple. Celibacy Master leads everyone out to confront the enemy. The Nightmare Demon says, "Bald donkey, I have come here to continue our unfinished battle."
Abstaining from Desire replies, "Amitabha, benefactor, your violent aura has grown heavier. Please turn back in time and do not create more evil karma."
Before Abstaining from Desire could finish, Nightmare Demon had already drawn the Evil Blade, slashing down with a fierce strike that sent a soul-killing blade aura straight at everyone. Seeing this powerful move, Abstaining from Desire immediately pushed aside a nearby monk, channeling energy through his hands as the Buddhist Sacred Energy circulated within them. With a mighty blow, he countered the blade aura of the Nightmare Demon. The clash of Buddha's Power and Magic Technique created a violent whirlwind that ravaged the surroundings. With a loud bang, the blade aura shattered the Buddhist technique, and Abstaining from Desire was once again left wounded and spitting blood.
Seeing this, the monks rushed forward with their staffs. The murderous intent of the Nightmare Demon surged again, and amidst the swirling blade strikes, several people were killed with eerie laughter echoing through the Yun Yin Temple. Witnessing the tragic deaths of his disciples, Abstaining from Desire unleashed a famous technique from the Buddhist Sect, known as Brilliant Radiance, determined to eliminate the irredeemable demon. The Nightmare Demon said, "Your weak techniques will determine your fate." After saying this, he unleashed a demonic move called Shattered Corpse, No Bones Left with his left hand while channeling energy into the Evil Blade in his right hand. He then raised the Evil Blade, drawing upon earth's power to carve downwards, releasing an overwhelming blade aura that charged towards Celibacy Master. With a thunderous roar, the Evil Technique of Demonic Arts broke through the techniques of the Buddhist Sect, sending Abstaining from Desire flying dozens of feet away and severely injuring his internal organs.
The Nightmare Demon declared, "One more strike and the Yun Yin Temple will no longer exist." After finishing this statement, he forcefully channeled his inner strength; his mighty Qigong was gathered in his palm as he unleashed a strike that surged towards many monks like crashing waves. Just as lives were about to be taken, the Dharma Master stepped in with a palm strike to resolve everyone's crisis. Then he approached slowly with prayer beads in hand and said, "Demon, you cannot walk this path of evil."
The Nightmare Demon swept his blade around him to disperse the Buddhist energy and said, "One-eyed bald donkey, you are exactly who I am looking for. Prepare to receive my attack." He launched another blade technique filled with demonic energy towards the Dharma Master.
The Dharma Master, holding prayer beads before him and chanting Buddhist mantras, felt Buddhist energy circulating within him. As the blade aura approached, he released this energy to counteract the lethal strike. Seeing his first attack fail, the Nightmare Demon quickly pressed on with relentless strikes against the Dharma Master. Each slash contained endless killing intent while each gust of wind carried boundless hatred; every move aimed for life while every palm sought to shatter souls. The highly skilled Dharma Master faced these overwhelming attacks with ease. He swung his prayer beads as Buddhist energy surged upward around him, forming a protective barrier.
Seeing that dozens of attacks could not take down the Dharma Master, he escalated his moves; with the Evil Blade lodged in his back and his left hand raised, he channeled energy for another demonic move called Shatter Bones, Leave No Corpse. His right hand formed seals as he gathered powerful airflow for another technique called Soul-Slaying Without Harming the Spirit. Both techniques were unleashed simultaneously towards the Dharma Master. Faced with an enhanced version of demonic arts techniques, the Dharma Master could no longer hold back; he drew upon all his true essence and channeled it above his head. Finally, he unleashed a technique from the Buddhist Sacred Art, known as Tathagata's Holy Seal from within his head's Sarira, aiming to eradicate demonic obstacles in this world. Another extreme clash of Buddhist energy surged forth; its radiance was blinding as it roared loudly—earth splitting apart for several feet and dust swirling in mid-air; it was as if even heaven itself trembled and reality turned upside down. Yet ultimately, due to greater power in demonic arts, the possessed Nightmare Demon slightly gained an upper hand; he struck down upon the injured Dharma Master, sending him crashing to the ground.
Seeing that things were going awry, Celibacy Master immediately ordered a retreat and led the injured Dharma Master away from the scene. Those monks who escaped slowly were all slaughtered by the Nightmare Demon, leaving the entire Yun Yin Temple engulfed in bloodshed and death. The tragic blood flowers floated in mid-air telling tales of this inhumane massacre. The Nightmare Demon casually ended this slaughter with a single sentence: "You shall report to your heart's Buddha."
The injured individual known as Future Police arrived at the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. After locating their aircraft, they pressed a button causing a drawer-like compartment to pop out. They retrieved a pill from within and swallowed it. Moments later, their injuries began to heal; wounds that should have healed had closed up while internal injuries remained too severe to recover instantly—but this was enough evidence that future medicines possessed immense efficacy.
The individual said: "Now that the God of Consciousness is dead and the Eternal Life Furnace is destroyed while facing off against an exceptionally skilled opponent like Premature Aging, I cannot deal with them for now. The whereabouts of both Evil Demon Reincarnation and Eternal Sovereign are unknown making them difficult to confront; it seems I can only choose to target the weakest one—Yi Junsheng. I have heard that he specializes in petty thefts; my aircraft was also stolen by him. The person who just pointed me in that direction must be him as well. First I will kill off Yi Junsheng, then leave." With that thought in mind, they piloted their aircraft away from the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain.
At this moment, an individual known as Reverse Head emerged from within the inner hall of the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. They had overheard what was just said by that individual earlier; thus they remarked: "This Future Police 's next target is actually Yi Junsheng ? It seems I must quickly inform Yi Junsheng so he can prepare himself." With that determination in mind, they set off to find Yi Junsheng to warn him.
God of Consciousness has passed away, and the area has returned to normal. Famous Sword Society President Xia Zhouyi brought his disciple Chen Qi back to the old site of the Famous Sword Society. The ground was filled with cracks, and the energy of the earth had completely vanished, leaving a desolate landscape that was quite sorrowful. Chen Qi asked, "President, this place has become like this; why do we still need to come back here?"
Xia Zhouyi replied, "This place witnessed my achievements; I want to restore it to its former glory. I will rebuild the Famous Sword Society."
Chen Qi asked again, "How can we restore the energy of the earth?"
Xia Zhouyi answered, "We need to use the Seven-Colored Nurturing Stone. This stone has absorbed the Sun and Moon Essence for a thousand years by the shores of Wei Hai, and it has the function of saturating the energy."
Chen Qi inquired, "What does saturating energy mean? And where is this stone now?"
Xia Zhouyi explained, "Saturating energy means drawing energy from elsewhere to this place; we only need to bring in a little. Then the nurturing stone will emit the same aura and restore all the energy here. This stone should currently be in the hands of Gui Gu Zi, the leader of Southern Martial Arts Alliance Canglong Cave. We should head to Canglong Cave to borrow the Seven-Colored Nurturing Stone from Gui Gu Zi."
Chen Qi said, "President, how do you know all these things? You truly are knowledgeable!"
Xia Zhouyi smiled and said, "I have my channels; you don't need to know. Let's leave." Thus, the two set off for Canglong Cave.
Meanwhile, Celibacy Master and Dharma Master, both injured, arrived at Tongfu Inn and informed Yi Zhangzhi about the Nightmare Demon slaughtering the Martial Arts Faction and numerous members of the Martial Arts Community. Seeing that both masters were gravely injured, Murong Mulong first helped them recover by transferring his energy. As Yi Zhangzhi contemplated strategies against the Nightmare Demon, after a moment, Murong Mulong finished transferring his energy, and both masters felt somewhat better. Yi Zhangzhi then said, "The Nightmare Demon has committed many atrocities; I will give everyone an explanation."
Celibacy Master asked, "Benefactor, what do you plan to do?"
Yi Zhangzhi replied, "Since persuasion has failed, we must resort to forceful measures to stop his madness; this is imperative."
Dharma Master commented, "Amitabha, this Demonic Arts power has increased compared to before; it may be difficult to subdue him!"
Yi Zhangzhi stated, "I will personally go and deal with him."
Murong Yaoxian immediately said, "But your injuries have not yet healed. Moreover, you want to kill your transformation; this could lead to unpredictable consequences for yourself. You should think this through."
Murong Mulong added, "Yes, it hasn't reached such extremes; there's no need to take such drastic measures."
Yi Zhangzhi replied, "Currently, the Martial Arts Community is terrified of the Nightmare Demon, and everyone is on edge. If I do not take action against him, more innocent lives will likely be lost at his hands. This is not something you would want to see, right?"
Murong Yaoxian responded, "But your hand is still in a cast. You might not be able to defeat the Nightmare Demon."
Yi Zhangzhi stated, "Even if it means mutual destruction, I am willing to accept it."
Upon hearing this, Murong Yaoxian immediately hugged Yi Zhangzhi, saying, "I don't want anything to happen to you. If something happens to you, what will I do?" Tears began to fall from Murong Yaoxian's eyes.
Yi Zhangzhi patted Murong Yaoxian's shoulder with his left hand and reassured her, "Don't worry; I will be fine." He then looked at Murong Yaoxian affectionately before leaving Tongfu Inn. Murong Yaoxian wanted to chase after him, but Murong Mulong held her back.
Murong Mulong said, "Let him go; this is a responsibility he must bear."
Murong Yaoxian could only watch his departing figure and silently pray in her heart for Yi Zhangzhi's safe return.
The person from the Eternal Years arrived at Lyricism Sect, where heavy guards were set up. Eternal Sovereign asked, "Everyone, please analyze the current situation in the martial world."
Duanmu Chong replied, "The martial world has just gone through the turmoil caused by the God of Consciousness; all major forces have suffered severe blows and their strength has been weakened. The current martial world is like a stagnant pond, devoid of vitality. I believe many forces are hiding in the shadows, preparing for future competition in the martial world. Recently, it has been rumored that the Nightmare Demon has willingly fallen into darkness to eliminate the God of Consciousness. He has been indiscriminately killing innocents within the Martial Arts Alliance, which will surely provoke dissatisfaction among righteous practitioners. Eventually, Yi Zhangzhi will have to confront the Nightmare Demon. Regardless of the outcome, it will be Yi Zhangzhi who suffers. If Yi Zhangzhi kills the Nightmare Demon, he will also be affected by his transformation and death. If the Nightmare Demon kills Yi Zhangzhi, wouldn't that greatly benefit us?"
Crane-Haired Youthful Face remarked, "Now that the Eternal Life Furnace has been destroyed by the Future Police, it would take a long time to create another one. What should we do?"
Eternal Sovereign replied, "No matter how long it takes, we must recreate it; this concerns the grand plan of Eternal Years. You need to put in more effort."
Crane-Haired Youthful Face replied, "As you command."
Divine Turtle Eternal Life bowed and said, "It would be better for me to go to the Martial Arts Alliance to gather information. If there are any updates on Yi Zhangzhi battling the Nightmare Demon, I will report back promptly."
Eternal Sovereign: "Alright, you may go."
Not far from Yun Yin Temple, as soon as the Nightmare Demon emerged, Yi Zhangzhi blocked his path. Yi Zhangzhi declared, " Nightmare Demon, your path of slaughter ends today."
The Nightmare Demon laughed heartily and said, "Very well, today my Evil Blade shall claim another soul."
Reverse Head found Yi Junsheng at a Tea House. Before he could inform him that the Future Police were out to kill him, the Future Police arrived in a flying vehicle. Yi Junsheng greeted them with a smile, saying, "What did you take, Future Police, to come so quickly?" Before he finished speaking, the flying vehicle descended into the room, and an Electric Baton was drawn to attack Yi Junsheng.
Xia Zhouyi and Chen Qi arrived at the Southern Martial Arts Alliance's Canglong Cave. Suddenly, several Famous Sword wielders rushed out with their swords. One of them said, "This place does not welcome those who use blades." With that, a flurry of sword strikes swept across.
Extremes upon extremes. Who will prevail in the clash between Yi Zhangzhi and the Nightmare Demon, this battle of essence versus manifestation? Can the Future Police succeed in their attempt to kill Yi Junsheng? Will Xia Zhouyi and his companion be able to obtain the Seven-Colored Nurturing Stone from the swordsmen of Canglong Cave?
