Chapter 17: The Killer's Disgrace
Outside the Dreaming Medical Pavilion, Yu Yunhai struck first, channeling his energy into a sword-like gesture, sending a wave of force directly at Jing Ke. Jing Ke brandished his proud dagger, swinging it with might to counter Yu Yunhai's attack. The released energy shot into the sky, creating a deep pit in the ground, signaling the start of an earth-shattering battle.
Yu Yunhai used his hand as a sword, leaping forward to engage Jing Ke in close combat. Jing Ke held his ground, guarding against Yu Yunhai’s advances, waiting for the right moment to strike. After several exchanges, Yu Yunhai took a few steps back, preparing to unleash his ultimate move. Jing Ke understood his opponent's intent and sheathed his dagger, drawing his long sword from behind him. The blade gleamed brightly, its aura captivating, and with a spin of the sword, a continuous stream of energy surged forth, launching an attack on Yu Yunhai.
Yu Yunhai said, "Good, this is a true duel." With that, he raised his left hand, channeling all his Inner Strength into his fingertips. He drew a line in the air with one finger, releasing an unmatched sword energy that surged toward Jing Ke. The two energies collided with a thunderous roar; Yu Yunhai's attack overpowered Jing Ke's technique, leaving a bloody mark that declared the outcome of this battle. Jing Ke's sword slowly fell to the ground as he was pushed back several steps by the force. Yu Yunhai intended to press the advantage and end Jing Ke's life as an assassin. At that moment, Hua Mulan burst out from the infirmary and stood in front of Yu Yunhai, preventing him from killing Jing Ke. Hua Mulan said, "This man has shown me kindness; please spare him."
Yu Yunhai replied, "If I spare him, will he spare you? Will he spare anyone else? If I do not kill him today, more people will die at his hands in the future. Step aside."
Hua Mulan defended Jing Ke: "There are many assassins out there; even if he does not kill anyone himself, others will do so for their own gain. Moreover, Jing Ke has developed compassion; I believe that given time, he can change and become a better person. We cannot take away his right to redeem himself; we must give him this opportunity. Please show mercy this time."
Upon hearing her words, Yu Yunhai found them reasonable and said, "Alright then, I will let him go this time for your sake. But if I find out he kills again in the future, I will not spare him." He then added, "Leave now."
Hua Mulan bowed to Yu Yunhai and said, "Thank you very much." She picked up Jing Ke's sword and helped the injured Jing Ke leave the Dreaming Medical Pavilion.
Defeated and despondent, Jing Ke appeared utterly defeated and pitiful. Hua Mulan thought: I must guide Jing Ke back to the right path. Now that Sima Qian is following his father's wishes to marry someone else and I am weak in martial arts with a low status, I cannot compete with Sima Family Village. In the thicket where only emotional release could restore rationality for Jing Ke, he tightly embraced Hua Mulan as they shared passionate kisses that marked the beginning of their release. Faced with such a heroic figure before her and having not experienced intimacy for many days, Hua Mulan had no reason to refuse and actively reciprocated Jing Ke's kisses. After a moment, Jing Ke could no longer resist Hua Mulan’s enticing actions; within the thicket began an intense encounter.

However, experienced Hua Mulan gradually guided his movements; her initiative surprised him as well. But Jing Ke was too caught up in the moment to think about these things; he followed Hua Mulan’s lead passionately displaying his masculine vigor. A satisfied expression appeared on Hua Mulan’s face while her moans further stimulated Jing Ke’s senses; experiencing intimacy for the first time filled him with immense excitement—there were indeed things in life more interesting than killing. From this moment on, Jing Ke resolved to shed his identity as an assassin; even if he had to live as a commoner or merchant, having a beauty by his side would be worth it.
Due to it being Jing Ke's first experience in such matters, it did not take long before it was over. Regaining his senses afterward, he held Hua Mulan close and kissed her forehead saying: "You have given me hope; I wish to create our future together. Will you agree?"
Hua Mulan blushed and nodded her head with immense joy: "Where shall we go now?"
Jing Ke replied, "Let's go to a place where no one knows us. I will no longer be an assassin, and from now on, Black Design Society will have nothing to do with me." After saying this, he let go of Hua Mulan. The two quickly put on their clothes, walked out of the bushes, and continued down the path hand in hand.
Not far away, a scout from Black Design Society had already discovered Jing Ke's actions and immediately rushed back to Gusu Palace to report to Gao Jianli.
Outside Famous Sword Society, a fierce battle was taking place between the forces of Canglong Cave and those of Famous Sword Society. Gui Gu Zi and others were fighting fiercely, driven by rage; Xia Zhouyi and others rose up in resistance on the bloody path, fighting for the dignity of martial artists. Meanwhile, Tao Yuanliang and others took advantage of the chaos to bring Left Eye Blind and Dreamy Beauty out of Famous Sword Society. Caught off guard by this unexpected aid, both Xia Zhouyi and Gui Gu Zi were hit by Duanmu Chong's attack as they failed to respond in time.
Duanmu Chong said: "You two must not act recklessly any longer; let us cease hostilities." After speaking these words, he left with Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zhi, Yu .
Seeing that he was injured and that continuing to fight was meaningless, Gui Gu Zi withdrew his forces. However, during his retreat he did not see Lin Bao ; at the same time Xia Zhouyi also did not see Chen Liu . At this moment, a disciple reported to Xia Zhouyi that Dreamy Beauty had been kidnapped. Upon hearing this news, Xia Zhouyi's expression changed drastically as he immediately led people away from Famous Sword Society . Similarly receiving news that Tao Yuanliang had abducted Dreamy Beauty , Gui Gu Zi quickly took his people from Canglong Cave towards Drunken Red Mansion .
Above Black Design Society at Gusu Palace , President Gao Jianli had received reports from scouts. He said: "That despicable Jing Ke actually dared to betray Black Design Society ! Even more infuriating is that woman who seduced him— Hua Mulan ! I want her torn apart! Where are you two— Yao Li and Special Execution ?"
Both assassins responded as they emerged from the Inner Hall: "We are here."
Gao Jianli commanded: "You two must kill Hua Mulan immediately and bring back Jing Ke . If he resists—kill him without mercy."
Both assassins replied: "Understood." They then left Black Design Society .
Meanwhile, Jing Ke and Hua Mulan arrived at Tongfu Inn for lodging. Before they entered their room, they encountered Murong Yaoxian who was also staying at the inn. Murong Yaoxian looked puzzled at seeing Hua Mulan with Jing Ke : "Ruhua, weren't you supposed to marry Sima Qian and fly together? Why are you now with an assassin from Black Design Society ?"
Hua Mulan replied: "This matter is too long to explain; I will tell you when I have a chance later. Right now we are tired and need to rest; we will leave here tomorrow." After saying this she pushed open the door and entered with Jing Ke .
Murong Yaoxian remarked: "What a fickle woman; how is she any different from Dreamy Beauty ?"
In the room, in their own world, Hua Mulan wrapped her arms around Jing Ke's neck and eagerly kissed his face. This action excited Jing Ke immensely, overwhelming him with emotion, as every nerve in his body was electrified. When reason faded away, indulgence ensued. This time, Jing Ke was particularly proactive, and the two of them entwined, enjoying the pleasures of life together. However, when Hua Mulan became overly excited, her body began to convulse. At that moment, Jing Ke was at a loss for what to do. To make matters worse, members of the Black Design Society, Killer Yali and Special Execution, suddenly burst in, witnessing an embarrassing scene.
Yao Li said, "So it turns out you changed your allegiance for this kind of thing, Jing Ke. What happened to being the number one assassin? Your resolve is weak; engaging in such immoral acts has completely tarnished our Black Design Society's reputation."
Jing Ke replied, "I have long since left the Black Design Society. I am no longer one of their assassins; my actions have nothing to do with them."
Special Execution said, "Do you think you can just leave the Black Design Society? Without the President's approval, you are still one of us. Now you have two choices: either kill the beautiful disaster Hua Mulan in front of you and return with us to the Black Design Society to apologize to the President; or both of you can meet your end together. Choose wisely."
Jing Ke said, "I choose neither."
Tao Yuanliang returned to the Drunken Red Mansion and realized that placing Dreamy Beauty there was not safe. He ordered several guards to take Dreamy Beauty and Left Eye Blind to Martial Bamboo Divine Domain while he waited in the Drunken Red Mansion for the arrival of people from Famous Sword Society and Canglong Cave. Soon after, Lin Bao and Chen Liu arrived at the Drunken Red Mansion while fighting each other. They paused their battle and spoke simultaneously: "Tao Yuanliang, hand over Dreamy Beauty."
Tao Yuanliang replied, "There is no one here that you seek."
At that moment, Xia Zhouyi and Gui Gu Zi each led their disciples to the Drunken Red Mansion. Gui Gu Zi said, "Tao Yuanliang, a wise person knows when to yield. Hand over my wife; otherwise, do not blame me for flattening your Drunken Red Mansion."
Tension filled the air as Gui Gu Zi and Xia Zhouyi's forces surrounded them. How would Tao Yuanliang respond? With Dreamy Beauty being sent to Martial Bamboo Divine Domain, would the flames of war spread to the divine realm? Inside Tongfu Inn, members of the Black Design Society were turning against each other; who would become the next victim?
