On a high peak outside Beifeng City, dozens of figures stood silently. The strong winds of the Void howled, yet none of the individuals seemed to feel it; apart from the rustling of their garments, not a single figure moved, resembling a collection of stone statues standing still.
If someone were to witness this scene, they would be shocked to find that all these figures were incredibly powerful experts. Among the dozens, there were both men and women, but without exception, they were all formidable individuals. The weakest among them was at the Thunder Sovereign Level.
With dozens of experts above the Thunder Sovereign realm gathered together, slaughtering a Third-Rank Sect that had existed for thousands of years would be an easy task. "Hehe... Han Li old man, when did you become so useless that you can't even catch a kid who hasn't reached the Realm of Thunder Sovereign? You've completely lost face for the Golden Thunder Sect..." A hoarse voice came from the old crone as she stepped forward slowly with her staff and lightly laughed at the elderly man standing with his hands behind his back. However, her hoarse laughter sounded more like a lament to everyone present.
"Hmph, Old Poisonous Woman, don't mock me here. If it had been you at that time, the outcome wouldn't have been much different... I admit I was somewhat careless back then, but who knew that kid would possess such a bizarre Divine Ability..."
The elderly man was none other than Han Li, the Elder Steward of the Golden Thunder Sect. Hearing the old crone's mockery made his expression darken as he retorted without holding back. Initially, he had planned to slowly pressure Sun Zhe; however, he never expected Sun Zhe to suddenly unleash his Divine Ability that transformed him into lightning. Despite exerting all his strength to chase for dozens of miles, he still couldn't catch up. Otherwise, why would he have to endure this old crone's ridicule now?
"Divine Ability... He's just a kid who hasn't reached the Realm of Thunder Sovereign; how could he possibly master a Divine Ability? Does he have the bloodline of a beast?" The middle-aged man standing nearby coldly interjected upon hearing Han Li's words.
In response to this middle-aged man's question, Han Li did not retort as he had with the old crone; instead, he turned his face towards those behind him and said,
"Zhou Qi, why don't you explain this matter?"
As soon as he finished speaking, an elder in purple robes stepped out from behind Han Li; it was Zhou Qi, the Guardian Elder of Xuan Lei Sect. Facing the three Thunder Lord-level powerhouses, Zhou Qi no longer held any pride and instead humbly bowed to the middle-aged man.
"Xuan Lei Sect Guardian Elder Zhou Qi has met Elder Leng."
According to what he knew, Elder Leng was not only the most powerful among the three but also held a higher status in the Golden Thunder Sect than Han Li and the other two. This operation was led by him.
With a slight nod, Elder Leng did not respond. However, Zhou Qi showed no signs of discontent and immediately explained,
"Sun Zhe entered our Xuan Lei Sect more than a year ago and entered the Northern Mang Secret Realm six months ago. Before entering the Northern Mang Secret Realm, he was merely at the level of a Seven Star Thunder Practitioner. Although his Qualification was remarkable, there was nothing particularly extraordinary about him overall. However, within the Northern Mang Secret Realm, he must have encountered some opportunity, as his strength has skyrocketed. As far as I know, most of the elite disciples from the Six Sects who entered the Northern Mang Secret Realm died at his hands. After coming out of the secret realm, he even gained the strength to slay a Thunder Sovereign. "My disciple, who is a Two-Star Thunder Sovereign, indeed died at the hands of that Sun Zhe..." It seemed to confirm Zhou Qi's words, as Han Li quickly added. The disciple he referred to was the man with Thunder Sovereign cultivation whom Sun Zhe killed in the Xuanlei Sect Great Hall.
The middle-aged man known as Elder Leng slowly nodded, a strange light flashing in his eyes as he spoke again,
"Although this incident has its reasons, it cannot conceal your negligence. The Grand Elder is not pleased with your dereliction of duty. My being sent here should make you understand what this means..." Although this middle-aged man appeared cold, there was a sense of reverence on his face when mentioning the Grand Elder.
"I understand. This time, I will follow any orders from Han Li and will have no objections. Once this matter is resolved, I will personally return to the Sect to apologize to the Grand Elder." Han Li took a deep breath; fear flickered in his eyes for a moment, but he ultimately made his decision.
Seeing Han Li's attitude, Elder Leng slowly nodded again and glanced at the standing figure of Old Crone, speaking lightly,
