Deep within the Wasteland of Demons, the dense underbrush and trees had vanished within a few miles, replaced instead by ancient buildings. These structures were remarkably peculiar, taking the form of triangular spires, resembling towering pyramids. However, the main body of these buildings was constructed from a pitch-black stone material, shimmering with a faint dark luster under the sunlight. Atop each pyramid emanated an enigmatic aura, akin to a black mist that enveloped the entire area, rendering it exceedingly mysterious.
There were countless of these pyramid-shaped buildings; upon rough counting, there were no fewer than several thousand, all concentrated within this radius. Coupled with some scattered trees and debris around, the entire region appeared extremely dark and cramped, devoid of any sense of spaciousness. If an ordinary person were to hide in one of these places, they would be very difficult to detect.
Amidst the thicket, a White Figure flashed by like a white raccoon. The illusory shadow suddenly flickered and then vanished without a trace. Upon closer inspection, however, one could see that in a corner several feet away, there was now a crouched figure—none other than the recently vanished white shadow.
This white shadow was none other than Sun Zhe, who had entered the Wasteland of Demons. He was currently in a significant location—the territory of the Barbarian Tribe within the Wasteland of Demons. The black buildings surrounding him were the residences of the Barbarian Tribe members. The reason for his presence here was somewhat peculiar.
Suddenly, two Barbarians approached slowly from a distance. Sun Zhe's expression tightened as he immediately suppressed his aura and concealed himself deeper.
Both individuals were burly men clad in crude garments made from animal hides that exuded a faint scent of blood. Their brown hair was wildly scattered behind them as they walked barefoot on the ground, their exposed muscles glistening with a bronze hue, emanating an air of ferocity.
However, these two men clearly did not notice Sun Zhe's presence. They remained silent as they walked past him and continued into the distance.
Once they had left, Sun Zhe let out a quiet sigh of relief. The Barbarian Tribe members harbored a strong disdain for outsiders; if he were discovered, it would undoubtedly lead to trouble. Within these thousands of peculiar buildings, Sun Zhe sensed dozens of extremely powerful presences—each one on par with his own strength. As for whether there were stronger beings present, he could not ascertain with his Spiritual Power; however, he suspected there were indeed more than one…
Surveying his surroundings and finding no signs of life, Sun Zhe gently brushed his left hand over the Ethereal Ring on his right hand. Instantly, an ancient black Ancient Cauldron appeared in his grasp—this was the very cauldron he had seized from Yan Ji in the Northern Mang Secret Realm. Remarkably, this previously inert Ancient Cauldron now emitted a faint black divine light and seemed to be moving toward something in the distance as if it was drawn to something deep within the Barbarian Tribe.
Observing the cauldron's unusual behavior, Sun Zhe's eyes sparkled with intense brilliance.
Initially, all six major sects from Xuan Yuan County had sought this Ancient Cauldron by any means necessary, highlighting its immense value. After acquiring it, Sun Zhe had experimented with countless methods in hopes of uncovering its secrets but had achieved little success. Just as he prepared to present it to Xuan Lei Sect for protection, events involving Golden Thunder Sect transpired, causing him to keep the Ancient Cauldron with him all this time. He never expected that this once dormant Ancient Cauldron would suddenly exhibit signs of change shortly after entering the Wasteland of Demons.
"Could this Ancient Cauldron belong to the Barbarians?"
Sun Zhe couldn't help but murmur to himself. As he spoke, he tightened his grip on the Ancient Cauldron, which now belonged solely to him, regardless of its original owner.
After a moment, without any hesitation, Sun Zhe once again followed the instructions of the Ancient Cauldron and darted deeper into the Barbarian territory. He suppressed his aura to the limit, and the Ninefold Shadow technique was executed to perfection. Illusory shadows flickered around him as he moved at an incredible speed toward the distance.
It was unclear whether it was due to Sun Zhe's exceptional ability to conceal his presence or simply good luck, but as he made his way, he surprisingly went unnoticed by any strong members of the Barbarian Tribe. After a short while, Sun Zhe arrived at a small pond.
He didn't want to enter, but the tremors of the Ancient Cauldron grew increasingly intense, clearly indicating that what it sought was on the other side of the pond. If he could just take the path beside the pond, he would reach that place in no time. However, he found himself inexplicably blocked here.
The pond wasn't large, only a few meters in diameter. Next to it stood a Stone Mountain that seemed oddly out of place, as if it had been moved there by someone. Carved into the surface of this Stone Mountain were two blood-red characters:
Forbidden Area
This was clearly the forbidden area of the Barbarian Tribe. Sun Zhe hadn't expected that this mysterious Ancient Cauldron would lead him here. If it were an ordinary place, it wouldn't matter much, but here… Looking at the Barbarian Man sitting on a large stone beside the pond, Sun Zhe felt a chill in his heart and couldn't help but show a wry smile on his face.
So powerful!
Unlike the animal skins worn by ordinary Barbarians, this man was clad in a set of dark Leather Armor that barely covered most of his body. His muscular arms were completely exposed, and he had short brown hair with eyes that sparkled with intensity. His bronze skin radiated a fierce aura, resembling a savage beast resting calmly yet exuding an overwhelming sense of danger.
Suddenly, a piercing light burst forth from his black eyes as if shooting out two beams of divine light. His entire being surged with ferocity as if engulfed in raging flames. His thick lips parted slightly,
"Come out!"
Sun Zhe's heart jolted in shock, and his eyes immediately revealed astonishment. Yet within that astonishment lay a deeply concealed fighting spirit. Just as he prepared to step forward, a figure suddenly crawled on the ground from the other side of the pond.
"Reporting to you, Lord Barbarian, many outsiders have suddenly appeared outside the tribe. The elders ask you to handle it..." The person spoke with his head pressed tightly to the ground, showing great respect.
"Outsiders... truly unaware of their own mortality. Very well, I will let them see the might of my Barbarian warriors..." As soon as the words fell, the figure on the boulder suddenly vanished from sight, and Sun Zhe could not discern how he left, as if he had simply disappeared into thin air.
He must be a powerful being who has reached the Realm of the Thunder Lord, perhaps even stronger... The look of astonishment in his eyes did not fade as Sun Zhe involuntarily murmured to himself. The Barbarian Man just now felt much stronger than Elder Steward Han Li of the Golden Thunder Sect. He had a sense that Han Li, who was at the Realm of the Thunder Lord, would not last five moves against him. Even if he had not broken through to the Realm of the Thunder Lord, he had undoubtedly reached its peak and was undoubtedly a top-tier expert.
Sun Zhe never expected there would be such a strong figure within the Barbarian Tribe, and it seemed there were even stronger elders... What exactly is the origin of this Barbarian Tribe? With this thought, Sun Zhe's confusion deepened. However, his feet did not pause for a moment. Shortly after the man left, he flashed and darted directly toward the other side of the pond.
And on the other side of the pond was the Barbarian Forbidden Zone!
