Chapter 320: Traveling Across the Nine Continents, Accompanying You to Watch the Sunrise
The vast Training Ground was silent. Looking at the young figure in white floating in mid-air, everyone below was filled with a strong sense of trepidation. From the Saint-Level Expert to a mere soldier, they were all deeply intimidated by that final strike. At this moment, they didn't even have the courage to make a move.
Even the Supreme Combat Body had its arms severed and fled; what use could they have? Especially with eight Reanimation Technique guards hovering above, exuding a terrifying aura that was no less potent than that of Black Wind Granny. They were clearly comparable to Supreme Combat Bodies. What they faced was not just one Saint-Level Expert, but a total of nine Supreme Combat Bodies.
With a wave of his right hand, the eight Divine Realm Sword Corpses instantly vanished into the Void. Sun Zhe stepped into the void and soon appeared in front of Tang Yuexi.
"Let's go..." Looking at Tang Yuexi, who was quietly waiting for him, Sun Zhe slowly extended his right hand and spoke softly.
"Okay!" Tang Yuexi smiled gently and reached out her left hand.
Sun Zhe did not hesitate, gently taking Tang Yuexi's left hand. The two exchanged glances and understood each other's intentions, nodding in agreement as they walked towards the city gates. Their pace was not hurried; step by step, it felt like a spring outing. The four Saint Level Pinnacle Sword Corpses originally tasked with protecting Tang Yuexi followed closely behind them, resembling four loyal servants.
"Sister!" "Sun Zhe!"
Two different voices rang out simultaneously in the square—one sharp and one high-pitched. Sun Zhe and Tang Yuexi turned around to see Feng Yu and his sister Feng Ling staring at each other in astonishment.
"Sister, Wings of Wind Continent is still your home; you are welcome to come back anytime!" Feng Ling stepped forward with a gentle smile, revealing her cute tiger teeth as she called out to Tang Yuexi.
"I know!" Tang Yuexi smiled lightly, twirling a strand of her long hair and nodding in response.
"Sun Zhe, you must take good care of my sister. If anything happens to her, I won't let you off." Looking at the two standing side by side in the gentle breeze, Feng Yu's eyes flickered slightly as he stepped forward and shouted loudly at Sun Zhe.
"I understand!" Sun Zhe replied with a faint smile, his clear voice following shortly after.
The two walked away hand in hand, exiting Windguard City. Not a single one of the hundreds of thousands of Wings of Wind Continent cultivators dared to obstruct them. Even before they arrived, the closed city gates had already been opened early by someone, as if hoping they would leave sooner.
"Where do you want to go?"
Standing outside Windguard City, Sun Zhe quietly looked at the stunning beauty before him and gently asked. Now that all his matters were resolved, he could accompany Tang Yuexi anywhere she wished.
Hearing Sun Zhe's words, Tang Yuexi turned around and gazed at the magnificent Windguard City behind her. Her enchanting eyes sparkled slightly; she had spent most of her life in Wings of Wind Continent. The last time she went to Thunder Continent was after pleading with her grandfather multiple times for permission. In truth, there were many places she wanted to visit; she wanted to see everything she hadn't seen before.
"I have only been to Wings of Wind Continent and Thunder Continent; I haven't been anywhere else. Can we go explore other places in Nine Continents World..." Turning back to look at Sun Zhe, Tang Yuexi smiled brightly, revealing two dimples as she blinked her eyes and spoke somewhat greedily.
"Good!"
Without any further words, Sun Zhe nodded. This simple word conveyed all his thoughts. The entire Nine Continents World was vast, but they had plenty of time; they could take their time to walk and explore. He believed that at their pace, their footprints would surely cover the entire Nine Continents before the arrival of the Demon Army...
The first place they visited was the Green Forest Continent. Although Sun Zhe had previously slain several notable figures from the Green Forest Continent and held grudges against it, with the impending war, the higher-ups of the Green Forest Continent were actively preparing for battle, and no one would pay attention to him now.
True to its name, the Green Forest Continent was a green world filled with dense jungles. Towering trees loomed like clouds everywhere, and various strange plants dotted the continent. The rich scent of the forest permeated the air, and the vibrant atmosphere made one feel inexplicably cheerful.
They did not go elsewhere but leaned against a tall ancient tree to gaze at the scenery of the Green Forest Continent, watching the people on the continent go about their daily lives. It seemed ordinary and bland, yet it was filled with happiness.
Their second destination was the Water Cloud Continent, which was entirely an ocean where humans lived on individual islands. Sun Zhe and Tang Yuexi drifted on a boat across the sea, having lived on the islands and explored the blue depths below before heading to the Thick Earth Continent.
In contrast to the beauty of the previous two worlds, Thick Earth Continent was a world filled with sand and dust. Every place was engulfed in swirling yellow sands, and the ground was a dusty yellow plateau. Yet this world exuded a simple and honest atmosphere that made one involuntarily let go of all burdens.
Sun Zhe and Tang Yuexi walked through the dust, witnessing both the impoverished and cultivators, seeing elders and children alike. They encountered all kinds of people, and it seemed they too were affected by this environment, their moods settling down as well.
Next, they visited the Dark Continent, a world filled with eerie and sinister vibes. Even the sun in the sky appeared purple, and the entire world echoed with Wailing of Ghosts and Howling of Wolves. The people here exuded a cold aura, resembling lifeless corpses.
Tang Yuexi did not like this world at all; thus, they only took a quick look before turning back to another world—the Light Continent, which was Dark Continent's arch-nemesis.
The Light Continent was a world where religion thrived immensely. The power of churches dominated this realm; almost everyone was a follower of the God of Light. In conversations with them, Sun Zhe found his vocabulary somewhat lacking because most of their words revolved around doctrines that he did not understand. He could hardly imagine needing to add phrases like "My Lord" or "My God" to every sentence; this was Sun Zhe's greatest shortcoming.
In Sun Zhe's helplessness and Tang Yuexi's laughter, they then went to Flame Continent—a place bursting with fiery enthusiasm. Everyone there seemed filled with passionate energy for everything they did, which made both of them somewhat envious since they could not match such vigor.
...
After visiting eight different worlds, they returned once more to Nine Continents Mainland. Compared to those strange and colorful realms, Nine Continents Mainland undoubtedly appeared much more ordinary; yet within that ordinariness lay a sense of authenticity and a flavor accumulated over time. Thus, their footprints appeared on this vast land of Nine Continents Mainland.
The Nine Great Empires each had their own characteristics. They started from the northernmost Yan Kingdom and successively visited Qi Kingdom, Song Kingdom, Wei Kingdom, Chu Kingdom, Han Kingdom, Qin State, and finally returned to Zhao Kingdom. They explored one ancient city after another and visited numerous mountain villages while admiring famous mountains and rivers until they found themselves back at that cave in Longshan from years ago.
Looking at this familiar cave, both exchanged glances and couldn't help but smile. Yet amidst their smiles lingered a hint of nostalgia; who would have thought back then when they were fleeing from pursuers that they would return here together again? Who could have imagined walking side by side today?
"I don't want to walk anymore..." After traveling so far and seeing so many sights, Tang Yuexi finally felt a bit tired. No matter how much they saw or appreciated, it ultimately amounted to fleeting moments—once seen, it was just seen; it left no trace or memory behind.
"Good!"
Sun Zhe's response was still just one word as he took Tang Yuexi's delicate wrist, leading her towards the Void.
Moments later, their figures appeared at the summit of Mount Tai. Sun Zhe leaned against a large tree, while Tang Yuexi rested her head on Sun Zhe's shoulder. The two gently leaned against each other, their calm gazes fixed on the distant sky. Their plain expressions seemed to see through the heavens and the mundane world between the earth.
"I used to love watching the sunset. Every time, I would take my younger brother and a few friends from the village with me. We would climb to the mountain peak at midnight and wait eagerly for the sun to rise in the morning."
"Back then, we were still young, and climbing was exhausting, but we never felt tired. Time and again, we climbed to the top of the mountain, waiting for that moment when the sun finally appeared. I stubbornly believed that the moment the sun rose was the most beautiful sight in the world. For that view of sunrise, I was always willing to endure my mother's repeated scoldings."
"At that time, I thought that when I grew up, I would still want to watch the sunrise. I wanted to see it from the highest mountain in this world and take my favorite person with me. I originally thought I had forgotten this wish, but unexpectedly, I still remembered it..."
Leaning against an ancient pine tree, Sun Zhe slightly squinted his eyes as if reminiscing or sighing softly, murmuring gently. Tang Yuexi listened to Sun Zhe's soft words, a faint smile on her lips that revealed a hint of happiness.
At that moment, as dawn broke, endless clouds at the horizon suddenly stirred. A beam of dazzling golden light burst forth from between the eastern mountains, piercing through all obstacles and illuminating the entire land.
