Jiang Yizhou reached out and pulled the girl over, lying down on the bed together, their eyes meeting as if seeking her consent.
"Do you love me?"
The girl asked a question that only required him to give a perfunctory answer to get by, but Jiang Yizhou felt a bit stiff.
At this point, did he love her? Jiang Yizhou found it hard to define love, or perhaps his standards for love were so high that they could never be met.
"I will accompany you now and in the future!" This was the most heartfelt promise Jiang Yizhou could offer, and it aligned with his inner feelings.
There were far too many things in the world done in the name of love, yet Jiang Yizhou couldn't understand those who made hasty decisions under that banner. He felt that he could spend his life with her because of her sincerity and dedication, and their compatible personalities, but he dared not love her.
However, there was no time left for Jiang Yizhou to think. The girl briefly flashed a hint of disappointment before being enveloped in happiness, closing her eyes and feeling her boyfriend's presence.
The muffled sounds echoed in the dimly lit room; they had finally reached this stage, inseparable from each other.

Qin Yi wearily opened the door and walked to the bathroom. She inadvertently noticed several pieces of women's clothing inside. Was there a girl taking a shower here?
Without a doubt, it was because of Jiang Yizhou. Li Yue had always been clear about separating work from personal matters and kept her distance from Jiang Yizhou in private situations, so it couldn't be her.
Thinking this through, she decided to call Jiang Yizhou's phone using the landline in the living room.
Jiang Yizhou pulled his arm out from under the girl's hair and quickly and quietly retrieved his phone from his shirt pocket while opening the door to answer the call, stepping outside to listen.
In a bit of a rush, Jiang Yizhou was only wearing boxers. Qin Yi was about to scream but then realized what was happening!
"Shameless!" Hearing the dual voices coming from both in front of him and in his ears, Jiang Yizhou understood what was going on. He hung up the phone and returned to the bedroom to get dressed.
"Yizhou, what's wrong? What happened?" Ding Zhengnan called out lazily, waving her arms as if wanting Jiang Yizhou's embrace.
Noticing her brows were still slightly furrowed, it might have been due to their first time together; there was inevitably some pain involved.
Jiang Yizhou helplessly kissed the girl's face and whispered in her ear, "Qin Yi is back; I need to explain the situation to her. We should move into our own place in the future..."
The girl, lacking any strength, was affected by his breath near her ear, her face turning even redder.
She nodded and allowed Jiang Yizhou to cover her with the blanket, continuing to drift into a deep sleep.
“Jiang Yizhou…”
“Shh, she’s still sleeping! Don’t wake her up!” Jiang Yizhou immediately made a shushing gesture when he saw Qin Yi was about to argue with her.
Seeing the flushed face of Jiang Yizhou, Qin Yi felt somewhat disgusted. The good atmosphere of their shared living space had been disrupted, and it seemed that many more troubles would arise in the future. However, he was unsure how Yue would react to this situation.
“Hey, who is she? Your girlfriend who is four years older than you?” Qin Yi asked. Jiang Yizhou gave off a calm vibe, while Ding Zhengnan was always jumping around, making people think that Jiang Yizhou was a few years older than Ding Zhengnan.
“Yes.” There was nothing to hide; he had brought the girl here many times, and she was indeed his legitimate girlfriend.
“But don’t worry, I’ve actually already bought a house. When I go abroad in a few days, I’ll move my luggage over. But for now, you might have to bear with it a bit!” Jiang Yizhou shamelessly made his request.
Qin Yi thought for a moment, “So you’re saying you won’t take the remaining rent?”
Why not just bring Li Yue over to share the rent? Qin Yi thought this was quite feasible.
“No, you should find a roommate yourself and talk to the landlord!”
Qin Yi suddenly felt that this deal wasn’t bad. For now, she could let them have this place, and later on, she could invite Li Yue over. With just a few months of rent left, she extended her hand, “Then it’s settled…”
She felt an unknown liquid on Jiang Yizhou’s hand and immediately withdrew her hand as if shocked, running to the bathroom.

“Sister Ying, I missed you so much!” The girl ran over to greet her senior who had just gotten off the plane.
Zhou Ying took off her sunglasses and opened her arms wide to warmly accept the welcome from this junior. “I heard you found a buyer and rushed back immediately!”
“Sister Ying, you’re so nice! Let me introduce you,” Ding Zhengnan said proudly while pointing at the shyly smiling Jiang Yizhou behind him. “This is the buyer and also my boyfriend!”
Zhou Ying knew about her junior's family background and naturally wouldn’t think she was being kept by someone or had caught the eye of a rich second generation. She walked alongside Ding Zhengnan to the car and politely shook hands with Jiang Yizhou. “Hello, I’m Zhou Ying. I heard from Ding Zhengnan that you’re interested in my courtyard?”
Jiang Yizhou explained calmly, “I originally wanted to buy a place to live. I didn’t expect Ding Zhengnan to recommend your courtyard to me. After seeing it once, I really liked it, so I decided to buy it.”
“I see. That makes me feel much better. I hope you won’t cut down the Ginkgo Tree in the courtyard,” Zhou Ying said as she withdrew her hand and stood together with Ding Zhengnan confidently.
"How could that be? The thing I like most about that courtyard is the two rows of Ginkgo Trees. Without them, I might not buy it," Jiang Yizhou didn't expect that this senior sister had such deep feelings for the Ginkgo Trees; perhaps there were some memories tied to them!
After getting in the car, Zhou Ying pulled Ding Zhengnan and asked, "Ding Zhengnan, this person you found is really not bad!"
She glanced at Jiang Yizhou and happened to make eye contact. Zhou Ying smiled and nodded, continuing with the girl, "His name is Jiang Yizhou, right? What are his conditions? How far have you two progressed?"
"Sister Ying, why are you asking so much?" the girl said shyly.
Although the two of them were sweetly attached and reluctant to be apart, when facing outsiders, even if it was a senior sister from college, she felt quite bashful about their relationship.
"I'm just helping you strategize!" Zhou Ying said playfully, pinching the girl's sides and tickling her.
"I-I, please stop," Ding Zhengnan quickly begged for mercy. "He's really impressive; he’s working on some software and has a company over in the U.S..."
Jiang Yizhou watched his girlfriend's lively demeanor in the back seat and felt a surge of affection. However, it was clear that when the two girls chatted, he was not part of it; if he were included, he would probably just be the subject of teasing.
Forcing himself to divert his gaze from his girlfriend, Jiang Yizhou focused intently on driving, ignoring their discussion about him.
