Unfortunately, he realized it too late. Enoch was being eroded from his chest by Magma. Even for just a moment, it was something that flesh and blood could not endure. 0

The pain of flesh being burned came in waves, consuming his sanity until all that remained was a groan. He could only watch helplessly as Daniel moved, unable to stop him. 0

Daniel snatched the communicator from his hand and then pulled out a bundle of Mithril thread, which he had taken during his time in Vita City while concocting potions for personal gain. 0

After all, others wouldn’t know Pharmacology; whatever materials were used were at his discretion. Even knowing that Mithril wouldn’t be needed, they had no choice but to accept it for the thirty-five percent potion share. 0

Mithril has a good affinity for elemental particles, making it perfect for crafting Magical Items. 0

Of course, Daniel wasn’t using Mithril to create Magical Items; he had other purposes in mind. He channeled magic through his palm as the Mithril thread began to slowly melt. Daniel applied the Mithril to the communicator, modifying it, and soon the Magic Array on it began to change. 0

From within came Arnold's anxious voice. He never expected that after sending two people to support Daniel, one of them would now be dead. 0

Including Calvin, half of the ten Wizard Apprentices responsible for guarding Vita City were suddenly gone. He truly didn’t know how to report this to his superiors. 0

In an instant, he felt hopeless about the future and hated the Flame Demon with a passion, wishing he could tear it apart right now. 0

“Enoch, what happened? What’s going on? Please respond.” 0

Unfortunately, the communicator was in Daniel's hands; no matter how much he shouted, no one would answer. Seeing that Enoch didn’t respond, Arnold called out to Daniel again. “Daniel, what happened? Please respond.” 0

After a long pause, Daniel finally spoke into Enoch's communicator. “Captain, we encountered a Flame Demon. Calvin was ambushed and killed by it, and I’m seriously injured. If I hadn’t blocked most of the firepower, you might not have seen me again.” 0

To Arnold’s ears, it still sounded like Enoch's voice. This was precisely the change that Daniel had made to the communicator. 0

To Daniel, the communicator was similar to a mobile phone from his previous life and also had a master recognition function; no one else could use it except for its owner. 0

However, Daniel modified it so that others could use it while still sounding like the original owner’s voice. 0

Due to the recognition function, others cannot use it. In this situation, Arnold would never suspect that Daniel was impersonating Enoch. 0

"What happened to you?" 0

"Daniel has already driven back the Flame Demon, but I am severely injured. My lower chest has been corroded by Magma, and I have no fighting capability left." 0

Hearing this, Arnold cautiously asked Daniel again. 0

The problem is that both communicators are in Daniel's hands; he is what he is, and there’s no way he could be exposed. 0

"Yes, Enoch can’t go on anymore. I plan to take him to the exit for treatment. If we let him stay here any longer, he probably won't survive half an hour." 0

Upon hearing that he was so badly injured, Arnold quickly said, "Alright, then hurry and take him back." 0

Now half of the ten people are dead; if one more dies, he could be killed by those above. 0

"Okay, I'll go right away." 0

Daniel casually placed the communicator at his waist and then began to search Enoch. 0

Barrett was pushed into the Magma Sea, his entire body turned to ashes, leaving no spoils behind. 0

Enoch was different; the two of them were specifically designed by him. First, he killed Calvin and left Enoch alive. The reason for this was that Calvin had no valuable spoils. But Enoch was different; Daniel sensed the presence of Magical Items on him. 0

Sure enough, Daniel pulled out a short sword from his waist, which was a low-level Magical Item. Even after being submerged in Magma, it showed no signs of damage. 0

Daniel didn't hold back and directly placed it at his waist. Then he carried Enoch and hurried toward the entrance of the secret realm. 0

On the way, Daniel found a spot to bury half of the potions on him. He had encountered the Flame Demon twice in succession; three Wizard Apprentices ended up two dead and one injured. He hadn’t suffered any consequences and hadn’t even used a single potion. If there were no problems, who would believe it? 0

As the other party waited anxiously, Daniel slowly approached the entrance. When his figure appeared in their line of sight, the two guards stationed at the entrance, who had been waiting, immediately showed signs of joy. 0

One of them, upon seeing Enoch in Daniel's arms, revealed an expression of anger. Enoch was considered his friend, and he never expected him to be injured so severely. His body was covered in corrosive marks from Magma, with some areas even exposing internal organs. His face was charred black, and he was close to losing consciousness. 0

"Enoch, how are you?" 0

He couldn't help but step forward to ask, only to see that Enoch had already fallen into a deep sleep. 0

"The injuries are too severe. I fed him a recovery potion to put him to sleep." 0

"Thank you." 0

Seeing Daniel about to put Enoch down, he took two steps forward and extended his hand, saying, "Let me hold him. I will take good care of him." 0

Especially when he saw Enoch groan in pain even while unconscious, his heart ached even more. Just as he took Enoch into his arms, a sudden sharp pain struck his chest and abdomen. Years of battle experience told him that he had been ambushed. He looked at Daniel in disbelief. 0

"You... you..." 0

Daniel thrust the dagger in his hand forward a couple of inches and then slid it upward with force, instantly splitting the two of them in half. 0

The remaining person was watching them, holding a potion and preparing to come over to treat Enoch, completely unprepared. He stared blankly at the scene as they bled out on the spot, unable to react at all. 0

Daniel would not give him time to respond. Fireballs flew out one after another, mixed with several bottles of Explosive Potion. Not just a Second-Level Wizard Apprentice; even a Third-Level Apprentice could be killed if caught off guard. 0

Without uttering a sound, the opponent was blown to pieces. 0

Afterward, Daniel quickly poured the potion into Enoch's mouth. Although he had split the opponent in half earlier, it was below the chest area, deliberately avoiding vital points. 0

Such injuries were akin to being bisected; an ordinary person would have died long ago. Fortunately, Wizard Apprentices had strong vitality, and as long as treatment was timely, they could still survive. 0

Enoch was directly burned by Daniel with a fireball, scorching his wound. Then, mud was used to plug the wound to prevent excessive bleeding and death, and he was kicked aside. 0

In a hurry, a Magic Array was set up at the entrance to block communication on both sides and prevent Arnold from leaking any information. 0

As long as the Magic Array was properly set up, it would be difficult for the apprentice, who lacked sufficient magical power, to send messages. This effectively prevented any information from being leaked. 0

“Daniel, Daniel, what happened? Have you reached the entrance? Why is the guard at the entrance dead too?” 0

“They both died? I don’t know; I haven’t reached the entrance yet. Enoch was too severely injured, so I stopped on the way to give him some basic treatment. Otherwise, I would have gone to check.” 0

“No need, just wait a moment; I will join you soon.” 0

Arnold was in a state of panic; seven out of ten people were dead, and among the remaining three, one was severely disabled. He could easily imagine his tragic fate. After killing the Flame Demon this time, he would only have a life of desperation left. Reporting this incident would make it hard for him not to die. 0

Arnold hated the Flame Demon for causing him such suffering. 0

Daniel continued to set up the Magic Array without denial. 0
