In the midst of the external turmoil, Daniel nestled in his dormitory and began to examine the remaining four Meditation Runes. 0

He was taken aback when he opened the book and saw the last four Meditation Runes. 0

Only then did he understand why the final four runes were not inscribed in the book that recorded the Meditation Runes; it wasn't due to a lack of desire, but rather because it was simply impossible. 0

The book that recorded the Meditation Runes was made from processed Parchment. Parchment is an excellent material, resistant to wear and corrosion; well-prepared sheepskin remains unchanged for decades, making it suitable for recording the complex and varied Meditation Runes. 0

However, this was not the case for the remaining four Meditation Runes, which were fundamentally different and not just slightly so. 0

The last four Meditation Runes were not fixed at all; they resembled a set of intricate lines that moved along mysterious paths, constantly changing. They looked less like lines and more like distorted, writhing images. 0

How could such things be recorded on Parchment? At least what Daniel had on hand to record the last four Meditation Runes was the softest fur from the abdomen of an Earthwalker Dragon. 0

The Earthwalker Dragon possesses draconic blood and is a very precious material. Yet here it was merely used to record the remaining four Meditation Runes. 0

Considering that there are over forty thousand apprentices within the academy, if each apprentice's Meditation Rune were made from such material, the costs would skyrocket, at least hundreds of times higher than Parchment. 0

No academy would waste resources like that, especially since among those forty thousand students, only a handful could even use the last four runes. 0

These four runes are incredibly mysterious and exceedingly difficult to learn. 0

Memorizing a complex Meditation Rune is already quite challenging; however, when this rune is three-dimensional, mobile, and constantly changing, the difficulty increases significantly. It becomes virtually impossible to learn. 0

Only those exceptionally talented individuals, often referred to as prodigies, would have any chance of mastering them. 0

Even Daniel felt somewhat dizzy upon seeing this pattern. 0

He flipped back a page and saw the twenty-second Meditation Rune, which was even more difficult. Even with chip assistance, learning it proved to be quite challenging. 0

He had no choice but to flip to the first page and start examining the twenty-first Meditation Rune. 0

However, even with the chip's assistance, engraving the Meditation Rune into the chip took quite a bit of time. 0

There was no helping it; the entire Meditation Rune seemed to change randomly without any pattern. 0

He couldn't stare at the runes for too long, or else he would feel dizzy and overwhelmed. If he forced himself to keep looking, it felt as if his head was stuffed full and about to burst. 0

He could only watch for a while, take a break, and resume when he felt better. 0

Fortunately, he eventually managed to engrave the runes into the chip, which made things much easier. With the chip's help in analyzing and finding the most efficient route for the Meditation Rune, it became a lot simpler. 0

The chip was touted as a second brain, operating and analyzing at speeds beyond human capability. 0

In just a short while, the entire rune had already cycled through his mind dozens or even hundreds of times. He found the patterns in the rune's changes and analyzed where to start meditating for maximum efficiency. 0

Daniel let out a sigh of relief; who would have thought that the last four runes would be so difficult? He lay back on the couch, sipping a drink and preparing to take a break. 0

Just then, there was a knock at the door. When Daniel opened it, he was surprised to find that it was the Dean. 0

He quickly greeted him respectfully, saying, "Dean, what brings you here? Is there something you need from me?" 0

"Can't I just come in and sit for a bit?" 0

Daniel hurriedly invited him inside and smiled, "Of course not! I'm just surprised and a bit excited that the Dean came by. Please don't take offense." 0

"It's fine, it's fine. I'm just here to check on you. How's it going? You must have looked at the remaining four Meditation Runes, right? What are your thoughts? Are they very difficult? 0

You young people always aim too high; you want to run before you've learned to crawl. Did you almost get hurt?" 0

"Yes, yes, yes! I really didn't expect the last Meditation Rune to be that difficult." 0

Cleveland smiled faintly and took a sip of the drink that Daniel had brought. "So, the reason I came to find you this time is to offer some guidance. Although the remaining runes seem unpredictable, as if there is no pattern at all, there actually is a pattern; it's just that you can't see it." 0

"This rune appears to be able to be meditated upon in just one minute, but that's not the case. It actually concludes after fifteen meditations, meaning you can only meditate on it once within a minute. Have you noticed that?" 0

Daniel felt somewhat speechless. If he had come earlier, he might not have realized it, but now he had already discovered it and seen the changes. 0

Looking at the dean's proud expression, Daniel initially didn't want to speak up to avoid deflating his ego. 0

However, thinking about how the dean was preparing to recommend him to his mentor for better treatment, he felt he should demonstrate his abilities. 0

"I've noticed it; doesn't it start from that point...?" 0

Daniel then explained the process. 0

Cleveland nearly spat out his drink, staring at Daniel as if he were a monster. 0

No way! You can't play like this! 0

He was well aware of Daniel's situation. The only one who had the time to study the Meditation Rune properly was him. 0

That's why he had come in the afternoon, wanting Daniel to see the difficulty of the Meditation Rune and gain a deep understanding of it before coming to offer guidance, letting him know the benefits of having support behind him. 0

But now... 0

No way! The guy already knew. He had rushed over for nothing, only to congratulate someone who had already succeeded in meditation and understood its patterns. 0

This was not how it was supposed to go. 0

At that moment, he deeply understood Maxwell's difficulties. Gaining a top-tier talent meant no benefits; whatever they taught would be learned quickly with just one explanation. 0

Unlike those fools who needed ten or eight explanations and still couldn't find a clue; they would want to hit them with a ruler or pry open their heads to see what was going on inside. 0

But the problem is that being too talented is not good either. 0

What? Understanding everything with just a little hint, and even being able to draw inferences from one instance, and then turning the questions back on others. If he can stump his mentor with the questions he raises, what use is that mentor? 0

Just like this time, he came with good intentions, but in the end... 0

He arrived late, and people were not appreciative. 0

For a moment, various thoughts flashed through his mind. After a while, he forced a smile and said: 0

"That's good, that's good. I won't disturb you then. If you have any questions, feel free to ask anytime." 0

With that, he took his leave. 0

Daniel saw him off but couldn't help but sigh about the benefits of having someone behind him. If it weren't for him agreeing to be the mentor's apprentice at the dean's request, how could the dean possibly come all this way to guide him? 0

He wasn't even the dean's apprentice. Moreover, even if he were the dean's apprentice, it would be difficult to get him to provide guidance, let alone come personally. 0
