Qi Luoling walked along the path in the campus. 0

The sycamore trees on both sides of the road had turned a deep red, and as the autumn breeze blew, the falling leaves danced in the air like butterflies, fluttering joyfully. 0

She was in a great mood because today was her first day back at school after recovering from her illness. 0

As she strolled along the campus path, groups of students passed by Qi Luoling, smiling and politely greeting her. 0

This was a private elite school, much larger than an ordinary school. At the end of this path stood two white teaching buildings, with a large auditorium situated between them. 0

The architectural style of the entire school was European, exuding an air of grandeur and elegance. The golden sunlight lazily illuminated the buildings, making the school resemble a beautiful palace. 0

Entering the teaching building, it had an antique charm with marble floors and burgundy wooden stairs adorned with swirling patterns that carried a sense of historical depth. Qi Luoling ascended the stairs step by step. 0

Upon reaching the second floor, Qi Luoling arrived at her office. After exchanging a few friendly words with her colleagues, she settled down to prepare for her lessons for the next day. 0

Before long, Teacher Chen, who taught music, hurried into the office and approached Qi Luoling's desk. Teacher Chen appeared flustered with a slight blush on her face and said to her, “Teacher Qi, I need to ask you for a favor.” 0

“What’s wrong? What happened?” Qi Luoling asked in surprise. 0

“My child has a high fever, and I need to go home immediately. But I’m currently in class, and there are still twenty minutes until it ends. I hope you can watch over my students in the Music Room until class is over,” Teacher Chen said urgently. 0

“Sure, no problem. I’ll head over right away; you don’t need to worry,” Qi Luoling reassured her. 0

After expressing her gratitude, Teacher Chen quickly left the office. 0

Qi Luoling tidied up her textbooks on the desk and hurried to the Music Room. 0

The music classroom was located on the third floor at the far corner and was spacious and bright. When Qi Luoling entered the Music Room, the previously noisy children fell silent instantly. 0

“Teacher Chen had to leave urgently, so you will have self-study today. Please open your music textbooks and review the staff notation that Teacher Chen taught you. Also, please maintain silence,” Qi Luoling addressed the children from the front of the classroom. 0

After she finished speaking, the children took out their music books and quietly focused on their reading. 0

Qi Luoling then sat down on a chair in the right corner at the front of the classroom. Bored and restless, she began to carefully observe her surroundings in this classroom. 0

Although she had worked at this Private School for two years, she had never stepped into the Music Room. Many times, she had only passed through the hallway outside the music classroom, occasionally catching a glimpse of it from outside, so she had never entered to observe the music room closely. 0

The classroom was spacious, with a floor made of white marble patterned with screw designs. The back wall of the classroom bore a famous quote from Beethoven: "Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy." 0

Cute staff notation was painted on the walls on either side of the classroom, and in the far right corner stood a Steinway piano. However, its surface was covered with a white cloth. 0

Suddenly, she remembered that young Jewish man and involuntarily got up to walk toward the piano. 0

The white cloth lay over the piano like a shroud. Qi Luoling reached out to lift that layer of White Cloth, revealing a black piano before her. 0

The piano's lid was clean, shining black, exuding a lonely glow and radiating an air of elegance. 0

Qi Luoling slowly opened the lid, and the interlaced black and white keys came into view. She gently touched the keys with her hand, feeling a cold sensation. She withdrew her fingers as if afraid of being frozen by it. 0

In the end, she could not resist its temptation. After hesitating for a long time, she sat down on the black square soft bench in front of the piano. 0

The bench was both soft and comfortable, allowing her to relax immediately. 0

Qi Luoling had never learned to play the piano nor had she ever played it before; she didn't even know the correct sitting posture for playing. Yet, in her mind, the image of that young Jewish man playing the piano naturally surfaced. 0

After sitting on the bench, her feet naturally touched the ground, her waist straightened, her upper body leaned slightly forward, and her forearms were parallel to the piano keyboard. Her fingers were slender and long, with distinct joints, each finger resting naturally and curved on the keys. 0

She trembled as she pressed down on one of the keys on the right side with her right fingertip; the note C1 echoed in the silent classroom and lingered for a long time. 0

Suddenly, it felt as if many memories of pieces were forcibly implanted in her brain: Chopin's Heroic Polonaise and Nocturne, Bach's E-Flat Prelude, Schubert's Serenade, Schumann's Dream Concerto, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, Storm Sonata, Pathetique Sonata, Dawn Sonata, Dedicated to Alice, and more. 0

Then her fingers seemed enchanted as they danced lightly across the black and white keys. Many notes floated in the classroom like they had come to life. Like flowing river water or fluttering birds, sometimes joyful and sometimes sorrowful; at times hesitant and at times passionate. 0

She deeply realized that she existed because of music or perhaps music existed because of her. As she played one piece after another, she found herself unable to stop. 0

Unfortunately, until school ended in the afternoon, no matter how hard she tried to remember, she could not play that Israeli man's piece titled Devil's Sorrow. 0

Qi Luoling fell into an indescribable sadness and eventually had to leave the classroom. 0

When Qi Luoling returned home, her parents were there; Aunt Wang had prepared dinner. 0

Someone was knocking at the door. She looked through the peephole and saw it was two police officers. 0

She opened the security door, and the Short Police Officer showed her his badge, stating that they wanted to inform her about the latest developments in a car accident case. 0

Qiluo Ling led them to the living room, where Aunt Wang prepared two cups of tea, and she sat down across from them. Liu Siling and Qi Qiang felt inexplicably nervous upon seeing the police and huddled closely next to Qiluo Ling. 0

"We're not sure if your husband mentioned anything about the investigation results of the car accident?" 0

Qiluo Ling shook her head in confusion. 0

"Your accident is not a simple hit-and-run case; we initially suspected it was a deliberate act by a perpetrator." 0

"Ah!" Liu Siling exclaimed in surprise. 0

"We're here today to inform you of the latest developments in the case. Based on the records from the Korean Hotel and other clues, we have identified a Korean man named Song Dazhong as a major suspect. Unfortunately, he has already returned to Korea. Although he can be extradited under international treaties, the actual procedures are complicated and involve political obstacles, making it nearly impossible to apprehend him." 0

Qiluo Ling was completely stunned, her mouth agape, unable to speak for a long time. After a while, she shook her head and said, "How could this be? Why would this Korean man want to kill me? I have no grievances with him; why would he want to kill me?" 0

Before long, the two police officers stood up to leave, while Qiluo Ling's mind remained in chaos. 0

Liu Siling's heart gradually sank... 0
