As Shen Yuan passed by the security room, he glanced in and saw no one!
Not a single person.
It was during regular working hours, and logically, there should be someone in the security room. Now, it was empty; he couldn't tell if they were dead or had run away.

A Hu followed!
The building was very quiet; the entire company was silent, with no sounds at all.
In this type of telecommunications company, the scale is generally small, at most three to five hundred people, with most of them working in various provincial offices outside. The headquarters wouldn't have too many people.
Shen Yuan knew this company.
He currently worked in the telecommunications industry, and the company he served was larger than this one. The headquarters only had about a hundred people, and that was because it also involved software development, with at least thirty of them in the software department.
When the apocalypse struck, it wasn't yet working hours; most employees wouldn't be here. Only a few who lived on-site would be present, and they were most likely to be found in the dormitory first, followed by the cafeteria.

That SUV was parked at the far end of the Dormitory Building. A man and a woman accompanied a child of about ten years old into the dormitory, and then… they did not come out.
Shen Yuan did not know what had happened inside, or if anything had happened at all. He was not concerned about whether the Dormitory Building was safe for the time being.
Other motorcycles and Electric Vehicles were parked in different places, with a cafeteria and an Office Building, and people had also arrived at this Factory.
The Mutated Chicken did not chase after him, so the Mutated Dog did not follow either.
Shen Yuan let out a sigh.
Safe!
This was the rooftop terrace, and the only entrance had been sealed off. Even if the Mutated Chicken or Mutated Dog came, they could not fly up or break through the iron door. But outside there are Mutated Chickens, Mutated Dogs, and that Mutated Giant Snake that resembles an Azure Dragon. Who knows if there are other Mutant Creatures? It's really dangerous, and Shen Yuan has no confidence in escaping with Chi Qinghua.
Moreover, even if they escape, where would they go?
This is the Industrial Zone; there are already Mutant Creatures appearing. In those residential areas, towns, villages, and farms, there must be even more Mutant Creatures. Nowhere is safe!

Shen Yuan took out some compressed biscuits and ate two pieces. After drinking a bottle of mineral water, he suddenly frowned because he heard screams.
They were coming from the direction of the Dormitory Building!

The man and woman who had just entered along with a child of about ten years old—the woman was already gone. The man was holding the child while several Undead followed behind him!

The scream attracted the attention of the Undead, who rushed into the cafeteria, followed by cries of agony, which eventually faded into silence.
