Chen Letian sat across from Shen Yuan, with Zhang Huanxue sitting nearby, seemingly only feeling safe when close to Shen Yuan, trying to stay as far away as possible from Luo Jindou's corpse.

They are all Evolver, but their paths of evolution are different.
Chen Letian said, "Then Luo Jindou started promoting the idea of new humans, Mutants, and superpowered individuals, claiming that if I joined him in conquering the world, as long as Xu Lixing, Zhang Huanxue, and Yuan Yulu followed him, they might not necessarily become Mutants, but they would definitely become exceptional among ordinary people. Luo Jindou is quite eloquent, and Yuan Yulu... believed him."
Yuan Yulu, the one killed by Guo Dalong, appeared to be in her late twenties, dressed rather... provocatively? Well, mature and charming.

But Chen Letian and Luo Jindou had mutated; the other three had not.

Shen Yuan thought it might be because Chen Letian and Luo Jindou had consumed more Mutated Hen Meat while the other three had eaten less.

As for why their mutations took different directions, that couldn't be explained.
Shen Yuan wasn't sure if he counted as an Evolver since he didn't have any bizarre abilities; he didn't have scales nor did his heart beat slowly. The only difference was in the palm of his left hand.
It was a pale gold color, much tougher than ordinary skin, and could absorb the Source of Life directly through contact while also being able to activate it.
To be honest, it might be more useful than Luo Jindou's mutation!
Shen Yuan thought of Guo Dalong.
Guo Dalong didn't eat Mutated Hen Meat, so why did he mutate? Moreover, it seemed that his level of mutation was possibly the highest among everyone, with scales covering his body and a tail growing out, looking just like a humanoid lizard!
