"From this dance onward, are all the dances you perform choreographed by one person?"
A cold light flashed in Zhong Wenxin's eyes as she understood the Ancient Sorcerer's meaning. "Are you saying my choreography teacher did this intentionally?"
The Ancient Sorcerer nodded gently and said, "Your dances, although varied, share a common spirit: sacrifice. You are sacrificing yourself, especially your spirit. The reason you fainted is related to this; your spiritual energy has weakened with each sacrifice, making it impossible not to faint."
The Ancient Sorcerer's words were incredible, but Zhong Wenxin knew they were true. Otherwise, there would be no explanation for why she fainted inexplicably while dancing, and no hospital could diagnose her condition!
More importantly, under the Ancient Sorcerer's reminder, she realized that this seemed to be the case: every time she danced, her spirit became highly concentrated, increasingly so.
"When I perform these dances, especially recently, I find that all my focus condenses into a tangible line. By the end of the dance, a force suddenly appears from nowhere, like a black hole, sucking away all my spiritual energy, and then I faint."
"That's not surprising. Have you noticed that your dance includes many kneeling movements? These movements are designed to achieve that very purpose."
"Hmph! Zhang Qi, this isn't over between us!"
Zhang Qi was Zhong Wenxin's dance teacher. Since the dance "Witch" achieved tremendous success, he had been invited to design dances for the past few years. She never expected to be schemed against; how could she not be furious?
"I want to meet this person."
Zhang Qi was far from just a dance teacher; his ability to choreograph such dances proved he was a master in the realm of sorcery. The Ancient Sorcerer was very interested in such a person and naturally wanted to see him.
"We'll go find him now!"
Knowing that her condition was caused by Zhang Qi, Zhong Wenxin was already furious and eager to confront him immediately.
Shaking his head, the Ancient Sorcerer said, "You don't need to go yet. I'll check on the situation first; if you confront him like this, he won't admit anything."
"Hmph! Does he dare not to admit it?"
Zhong Wenxin raised her eyebrows. If he dared not to admit it, she would smash his dance studio.
Ancient Sorcerer was taken aback; he did not expect Zhong Wenxin to have such a violent side.
Feeling that Ancient Sorcerer was looking at her strangely, Zhong Wenxin felt a bit embarrassed. After all, she was supposed to be a sweet idol figure, yet at this moment, she seemed like a fierce lioness.
"He wants to put me in danger, and I can't smash his place?"
"That's true. If it were my personality, I would have dealt with him long ago. However, you have no evidence; you can't just confront him like this."
Zhong Wenxin understood that Ancient Sorcerer was absolutely right; if she barged in like this, Zhang Qi would definitely not admit anything.
Shrugging her shoulders, Zhong Wenxin said, "Alright then, what do you think we should do?"
"I'll go over first and see if I can find out something."
Zhong Wenxin wanted to go along but was ultimately persuaded by Ancient Sorcerer.
As soon as they left the villa, Ancient Sorcerer saw a car slowly approaching; it was Kong Ying's car.
"What are you doing here?"
Ancient Sorcerer had originally planned to borrow a car from Zhong Wenxin to leave, but now that was unnecessary.
Hearing the sound of the car, Zhong Wenxin also came out and smiled upon seeing Kong Ying. "Oh, Sister Kong Ying, are you worried that I'm going to eat Ancient Sorcerer?"
As soon as Kong Ying got off the car and heard this, her face immediately turned red. Last night, because the Ancient Sorcerer wanted to watch Zhong Wenxin's MTVs, she had to stay at the villa. She had her own matters to attend to and had to leave, and after finishing her tasks, it was quite late, making it inappropriate to come over.
However, she couldn't sleep well all night. There was no way around it; Zhong Wenxin's charm was simply too great. Any man would find it impossible to resist, so as soon as dawn broke, she decided to come over. Of course, she would never admit to such thoughts.
But she quickly retorted, "Yeah, what's wrong? Did you eat the Ancient Sorcerer?"
"I had that thought, but I haven't had the chance yet."
Zhong Wenxin glanced at the Ancient Sorcerer. In fact, from the first glance, she realized that the Ancient Sorcerer was quite a handsome man—thick eyebrows and big eyes paired with a strong physique, and most importantly, he exuded a strong masculine aura. The entertainment industry has many men more handsome than the Ancient Sorcerer, but most of them are a bit effeminate and lack much appeal.
"By the way, Ancient Sorcerer, with your looks, you're definitely a favorite among wealthy women. Are you interested? I can introduce you!"
The Ancient Sorcerer felt a headache coming on; clearly, Kong Ying wasn't going to let him off easily and instead teased him further.
"Of course! For example, this lovely lady right here is wealthy and good-looking. I don't think you'd refuse her, would you?"
At this moment, Zhong Wenxin was far from her super idol persona; she was simply acting like a gossiping "busybody."
"Hmph! Don't say you're not a woman; do you really not feel anything when you see the Ancient Sorcerer?"
Kong Ying clearly wasn't one to back down either and immediately countered.
The Ancient Sorcerer raised his hands in surrender and said, "Ladies, I'm right here; you don't have to be so unabashed about it."
Kong Ying and Zhong Wenxin exchanged glances and both showed a hint of redness on their faces. It seemed indeed inappropriate to speak so frankly in front of the Ancient Sorcerer.
"How's Wenxin's condition? Have you found out the cause?"
"Kong Ying," upon hearing this, immediately became angry again and said, "Do you know who my dance teacher is? It's him!"
"Zhang Qi? What's going on?"
Kong Ying was shocked to learn it was Zhang Qi. As Zhong Wenxin's close friend, she naturally knew that he was one of the most famous dance teachers in the entertainment industry, with many big stars, including Zhong Wenxin, seeking his choreography.
"The dance he choreographed for me has problems! My body started having issues because of these dances!"
Zhong Wenxin grew more and more furious. "If it weren't for Ancient Sorcerer advising me not to go, I would have stormed over there by now! Do you know that every time I dance to one of his routines, I end up fainting?"
Kong Ying was startled and said, "No way?!"
"I didn't believe it either, but just now I danced two pieces—one was his and the other wasn't. You know the result; I fainted during his routine."
Kong Ying's mouth slightly opened, her face showing an expression of disbelief, as if she had just heard an unbelievable story.
A dance could make someone faint?
This was truly incredible. She opened her mouth to say something but quickly thought of her son’s situation and closed it again—wasn't her son saying he had something in his hand that he couldn't see?
From this perspective, the idea that dancing could cause someone to faint seemed more acceptable.
