Kairuot is not someone who follows the rules; he treats Kailong's teachings as mere whispers in the wind. Even though Kailong has already told him that to climb Thousand-Fathom Cliff, he must cultivate his internal energy to the seventh stage, Kairuot does not take it seriously. With his current abilities, attempting to scale Thousand-Fathom Cliff is impossible; he would have to wait several years—he doesn't care about that—[Isn't waiting several years too long?] Kairuot does not believe in such nonsense.
Every time the young man arrives at the towering cliff, looking up at the small tree not far from the edge, he feels an impulse to climb Thousand-Fathom Cliff, always thinking that one day he will ascend it: [What’s so great about Thousand-Fathom Cliff? Isn’t it just a bit higher than Hundred-Foot Cliff?]

That day, as usual, Kairuot arrived at the steep wall of Thousand-Fathom Cliff, but today there was a special situation—his finger sleeves had malfunctioned! No matter how he tried, he could not open the great door before him.
The young man quickly fell into a state of anxiety; time was slipping away, and if this continued, his plans to cultivate at Golden Tower that morning would be ruined. Habitually glancing up at the small tree beside the rock wall, stubborn Kairuot decided to take the risk and climb Thousand-Fathom Cliff!
Indeed, Thousand-Fathom Cliff is perilous; from top to bottom, there are few places to step. The cliff is steep and difficult for trees to grow; without strong Lightness Skill, profound internal energy, and resilient endurance, it is impossible to ascend.
With a swift leap, Kairuot grabbed hold of the small tree he saw above him and utilized all his climbing skills honed on Earth to their fullest extent, agilely scaling a small portion of Thousand-Fathom Cliff. At this point, he began to realize the increasing difficulty; higher up, there were basically no trees to hold onto. The sheer rock face was bare, making it hard for even grass to grow.
Kairuot could only grip the protruding rocks with his hands and push against slightly jutting stones with his feet, carefully and cautiously climbing upward step by step. If it weren't for his childhood habit of scrambling over cliffs and through forests, developing considerable agility and excellent physical fitness and endurance, he might have already lost the strength and courage to continue climbing.
Climbing the steep cliff without any gear indeed consumes a lot of internal energy and stamina. Before long, Kairuot was drenched in sweat. The higher he climbed, the more difficult it became—large rocks had been smoothed by the wind, making them slippery and nearly impossible to grip or step on. Stuck at an extremely challenging section, Kairuot pressed his body flat against the rock wall using all his muscles and relied on his internal energy to cling to the stones so as not to fall. However, this took a tremendous toll on his body, and soon he felt slightly fatigued. Finally, he spotted a small tree about ten meters away in the upper right corner; if he could leap to that tree and grab its trunk, climbing from there would be much easier.
Thus, the young man gathered all his strength, pushed off hard with his feet, and activated his Lightness Skill towards that small tree. He almost missed but managed to grab hold of the outer edge of its trunk perfectly. However, what he hadn’t calculated was that the small tree had shallow roots and could not bear Kairuot's weight. Although he grasped the trunk, he uprooted the small tree entirely as both he and the tree fell down the cliff...

The sensation of falling was swift and dreadful; Kairuot had no time to react or even attempt to grab onto any foothold on the cliff... He felt that this was it; falling from such a high cliff would surely result in shattering bones—there was no doubt he would die...
However, fate did not abandon him. Just as he had despairingly closed his eyes, suddenly, someone gently lifted him in mid-air and slowly brought him down to the ground without him realizing it.
After a while, Kairuot slowly squinted his eyes. Once he confirmed that he was not dead, he leaped to the ground and focused on his "savior." Although this person had their face covered, their curvaceous figure clearly indicated that they were a woman.
The young man clasped his hands together and bowed, saying, "Thank you for saving me!"
The masked person was evidently displeased with Kairuot's reckless climbing and said sternly, "You really have no regard for your life! With such shallow skills, how dare you attempt to climb the Thousand-Fathom Cliff? You are truly overestimating yourself."
Kairuot awkwardly scratched the back of his head and explained, "My finger sleeve malfunctioned, and I couldn't open the gate to the Thousand-Fathom Cliff, so..."
The masked person's tone remained that of a strict elder: "No matter how great your reasons are, you cannot risk your life!" As she spoke, she handed him a finger sleeve and watched as Kairuot put it on. "You can discard your original finger sleeve from now on."
Kairuot was still somewhat confused and could only respond with "Ah, um."
The masked person then took the young man's previous finger sleeve, held it in her palm, and after rubbing it a few times with both hands, it suddenly shattered into pieces that scattered in the air. Kairuot stared in astonishment, feeling that this person's internal power was truly remarkable.
"Just pretend that nothing happened today," the masked person said lightly. However, the weight of her words was something Kairuot could feel. She continued, "You must keep today's events a secret. Don't tell anyone that you encountered me, and especially don't mention that you changed your finger sleeve, not even to your master. Do you understand?"
"Yes, I understand," Kairuot replied. He then asked, "What is your name?"
Before the young man could finish speaking, the masked person vanished with a swift motion.
Kairuot looked around at the already empty surroundings and couldn't help but mutter to himself, "I wish I had her skills."
Recalling everything that had just happened, the young man felt that this figure seemed somewhat familiar, but he couldn't quite remember the specifics...
After a brief moment of confusion, he returned to the main topic of the day. Using the ring given to him by Masked Person, he opened the gate leading to Golden Tower at Thousand-Fathom Cliff, following the usual route into the passageway that led to Golden Tower, heading straight for the training area.
