It really is true that enemies are destined to meet—Belche turned around and found Kairuoka standing right behind him. With a shout, he startled Belche, who quickly darted away into the depths of the dense forest, with Kairuoka hot on his heels.
In the woods, Belche used the tangled branches and leaves as cover, dodging left and right, jumping up and down. However, he could not shake off Kairuoka's relentless pursuit. Whenever Kairuoka caught up to him, Belche had no choice but to retaliate with a punch or kick before continuing his escape.
Using the dense trees, vines, and shrubs in the jungle, Belche played a game of hide-and-seek with Kairuoka, employing tactics of sneak attacks from the left and right to deal with him.
After a prolonged struggle in the jungle, Belche found himself at a disadvantage; not only did he fail to gain any upper hand, but he was also increasingly cornered. Most critically, he could not shake off Kairuoka's entanglement. Frustrated, Belche thought: "If this drags on, I will be the one at a loss."
Not daring to linger in battle, Belche took a leap into the air from a branch. He understood that his only chance of escape was to lure Kairuoka to his Training Base, where his Giant Army and traps awaited—resources sufficient to deal with Kairuoka.
Unaware of the trap, Kairuoka pursued without fear of entanglement. They flew rapidly through the air for some time until a dilapidated castle came into view. From above, it appeared quite substantial.
At that moment, Belche dove down towards a large Lawn in front of the castle, with Kairuoka following closely behind. The two stood face-to-face in the center of the Lawn, glaring at each other. Kairuoka spoke first: “Belche, you should just surrender. You were never my match before, and today you won't escape.”
However, Belche burst into laughter and replied, “Kairuoka, you really don't understand your situation! I brought you here to eliminate you!”
“Then bring it on,” Kairuoka said coldly as he unleashed a powerful Thunder Palm.
Belche quickly dodged, seeing a flash of light pass by him. With a loud bang—a large hole was blasted into a wall behind him, causing him to break out in a cold sweat.
Not to be outdone, Belche countered with a strike of his own: “Thunderous Palm.” Seeing this, Kairuoka responded with both palms raised. Their powers collided mid-air with an explosive sound that shook the surroundings and created a large crater before them.
This exchange made Kairuoka realize he had underestimated Belche. Adjusting his stance, he began channeling his energy for the ninth stage's highest power level. A golden aura about one meter thick appeared around him. Sensing danger, Belche, skilled in his underground Escape Technique, swiftly retreated through a hidden door set into the castle wall and hurriedly closed it behind him.
Kairuoka had not yet thrown a punch when Belche had already slipped inside the city walls. Just as he regained his senses and prepared to pursue, dozens of gates in the wall swung open, and a squad of Giant Soldiers armed with Spears and giant axes rushed toward him, shouting loudly.
Kairuoka found himself helplessly surrounded, but the giants were not his target. Thus, he used only thirty percent of his strength to strike down these soldiers. The Giant Soldiers had been modified and specially trained by Belche; they showed no fear of being hit. They got back up after being knocked down and continued to charge forward. Dozens, even hundreds of soldiers quickly surrounded Kairuoka, leaving him no room to escape. The Giant Soldiers thrust their Spears and swung their axes at Kairuoka, but instead of hitting him, they were met with a violent rebound that left their arms numb and forced them to stagger backward.
A golden light surrounded Kairuoka, protecting him. The frantic cries of the Giant Soldiers echoed around him, yet they did not retreat and continued to slash and stab wildly.
This was Belche's cunning plan, aiming to wear down Kairuoka's strength in this manner. He knew that if he did not completely defeat these soldiers, he would have no way to approach Belche.
Kairuoka immediately gathered all his strength and unleashed several Thunder Palms in quick succession, sending the surrounding Giant Soldiers' bodies flying and their cries filling the air.
Although the Giant Soldiers organized multiple attacks, each ended in greater disaster than the last. Before long, half of them were dead or injured, and the ground around Kairuoka was littered with corpses. If this continued, they risked total annihilation.
Belche quickly sounded the retreat and closed the city gates, opting to use arrows against Kairuoka instead. Hundreds of sharp arrows flew toward him but had no effect. Kairuoka countered with palm strikes, blasting away each attack point with beams of light and forcefully opening a large gate in the wall.
The Giant Soldiers within the castle were like startled birds; some fled while others scattered, completely losing their fighting spirit. Kairuoka did not wish to continue the slaughter and left them a way out.
Seeing that the situation was dire, Belche sneaked away alone and leaped to where his mech was stationed. Relying on his senses, Kairuoka followed him. However, by the time he discovered Belche's mech, it was too late; Belche had already activated it and accelerated rapidly into space.
Watching Belche disappear into the distance, Kairuoka knew he could not catch up. He abandoned the chase and muttered angrily to himself, "That Belche is truly an expert at escaping! How did he manage to get away again?"
