Shopping, buying things, watching performances, eating dumplings, and enjoying snacks, they strolled around Wolong Street for an entire day, each carrying large bags of items. It was only in the evening that they returned to Belden Courtyard. Kairuot took off the annoying ice-blue straight-collared robe and changed into his Mars Alliance School uniform. This uniform was tailored to fit his body perfectly and was very comfortable to wear. The key feature of this outfit was that it was made from special materials found on Mars, allowing it to automatically adjust to temperature changes, eliminating the need to change clothes regardless of the weather. After changing, Kairuot intended to lie down and rest for a bit but was pulled up from the bed by Beldan: “Are you already thinking about going to bed with me? I’m not ready for that yet. Come on, we’re going to the Bonfire Festival.” 0

Kairuot had a hundred reasons to refuse the girl’s invitation but found himself unable to do so as Beldan pulled him along out of the courtyard. After greeting Bel Grandfather in the Dragon Clan hall, they hurriedly made their way toward the location of the Bonfire Festival. 0

The Bonfire Festival was set at the foot of Olympus Mons to the east, where there was a large lawn that had been artificially arranged. This lawn was partially surrounded by a gently flowing stream, and crossing the stream led to a small grove filled with blooming flowers where young people would flirt and socialize. Every year during the blooming season, a Bonfire Festival would be held here. Unmarried young people from Dragonfall Lodge gathered from all directions in search of their partners. It was the most anticipated event of the year for the youth of Dragonfall Lodge. 0

The distance from Dragon Clan to the bonfire site was over twenty miles. Kairuot quickened his pace, almost flying as he walked. Beldan struggled to keep up and gasped from behind: “I didn’t expect your Lightness Skill to be this good. Can you slow down a bit?” 0

Kairuot replied, “If we slow down any more, we’ll have to walk slowly on foot.” 0

Beldan said, “I really can’t keep up. I’ve never walked like this before.” 0

Kairuot curiously remarked, “Aren’t all of you from Dragonfall Lodge skilled fighters? How come you’re so weak?” 0

Beldan responded, “I’ve been spoiled by my Great-Great-Grandfather. I’ve always just played around during training; even Long Er is better than me… can you slow down… we still have a long way to go; how about… you carry me on your back? That would be faster.” 0

Kairuot hesitated for a moment but before he could agree, Beldan reached out her arms and wrapped them around his neck, swinging her legs around his waist. Her head happily nestled against Kairuot’s back as she said, “Let’s go quickly; I’ll guide you.” 0

Faced with such a determined girl, Kairuot found himself helpless; he couldn’t forcibly pull Beldan off his back knowing she wouldn’t listen to him. He had no choice but to go along with her. With her directions, Kairuot, carrying Beldan, executed his rapid Lightness Skill, soaring through the air. In no time at all, they arrived above the bonfire site after what felt like just a meal's worth of time. As night fell gradually, they easily spotted a blazing bonfire below them. 0

Beldan called Kairuot down from the sky into the fragrant Small Grove. In the forest, Beldan hugged Kairuot and said softly, "Tonight, let's have a joyful Carnival in this grove." 0

Kairuot pointed to the crowd dancing and singing around the bonfire on the Lawn outside the forest and said, "Let's go join the fun by the bonfire." 0

Beldan rested her head on Kairuot's chest and said, "They are dancing by the bonfire because they don't have partners. We both have partners now; why would we go there? Look closely; not far from us, there are couples in the forest enjoying their romance." 0

Kairuot vaguely saw several pairs of figures swaying deep in the forest, with intermittent sounds of duet singing echoing. 0

Beldan looked up at Kairuot and asked, "Can you sing love songs?" 0

Kairuot shook his head and said, "I can't sing." 0

Beldan released her embrace and said, "You have to sing here. I'll teach you. Just listen." 0

Beldan began to sing a love song with her sweet voice—the lyrics were somewhat abstract, and Kairuot didn't pay much attention to them, but Beldan's voice was as beautiful as silver bells, captivating enough to make one feel enchanted for a century. 0

After Beldan finished singing, Kairuot couldn't help but clap his hands in admiration, saying, "Your singing is so good; it's a shame you aren't a star." 0

Beldan pouted, "I'm teaching you how to sing, not asking for your critique. Next, I'll sing a line, and you follow me." 0

Kairuot replied, "I really can't sing well." 0

Beldan commanded, "Even if you can't sing well, you have to sing." 0

Beldan started singing a line, and Kairuot followed with another. However, Kairuot's singing sounded like a duck quacking, and since his mind wasn't on the song, he was off-key with every line. Beldan couldn't help but feel both amused and exasperated, which completely ruined the romantic atmosphere she was trying to create in the woods. In the end, she had no choice but to say to Kairuot: "I'm really not a good teacher; I can't teach you anymore... Didn't you want to go over to the bonfire? Let's go have some fun there." 0
