The golden-yellow Kiwi grew abundantly on the cave walls, thriving in this natural cave and environment. In this vast natural Cave, isolated from the outside world and untouched by dragons or humans, the Kiwi flourished exceptionally well.
The Kiwi is a plant that produces a fruit with a long growth cycle, requiring at least five years for a fruit to mature. Once the fruit is ripe, it remains on the plant until natural forces or animals cause it to fall to the ground. After contacting the earth, the fruit rots, allowing its seeds to regrow and reproduce.
It was evident that the Kiwi here had not been touched for a long time after ripening, displaying particularly vibrant colors—a brilliant golden yellow. This golden fruit was as large as a fist and had a translucent appearance that was very enticing.
Kairuot casually picked a Kiwi and examined it closely. The translucent golden fruit revealed many bright red seeds inside, each about the size of sesame seeds. If it weren't glowing, from a distance it would resemble an egg carved from yellow jade.
Eventually, Kairuot took a bite of the Kiwi, immediately experiencing a burst of flavor; the fruit was purely sweet with a hint of wine aroma, offering an exceptionally pleasant taste that was also very refreshing, making him want more. He devoured over ten of them in one go, filling his stomach to the brim.
However, not long after, Kairuot began to feel dizzy and heavy-headed; his eyes could barely stay open, and he struggled to stand upright. He staggered toward a haystack and, unable to control his body any longer, collapsed into the soft hay and lost consciousness.
After about a day and night, Kairuot finally woke up. Lying on the haystack, he felt no pain in his chest; the burn had healed. However, he felt an unbearable heat throughout his body, and even his school uniform couldn't regulate his temperature. He had no choice but to strip off completely and jumped into a pool of water, submerging himself… yet this did not alleviate his discomfort; instead, he felt even hotter.
At that moment, Kairuot remembered seeing an ice cave high up on the rock wall when he floated up. He quickly emerged from the water and jumped into the ice cave. Finally feeling somewhat cooler, he still couldn't lower his body temperature; ultimately, he jumped into the bone-chilling icy water.
Gradually, Kairuot's heat subsided somewhat, and his mind cleared up… but he knew that the heat he experienced was caused by the poison from the Kiwi. The icy water in the cave only provided temporary relief; the heat could flare up at any moment.
Taking advantage of the fact that the poison from the Kiwi hadn't severely intensified yet, Kairuot exited the ice cave. He wanted to test how much Cosmic Wave Energy he could manipulate after consuming the Kiwi. Without activating his Laser Pointer, he lightly tapped his finger, instantly shattering a small stone across from him. He then pushed with both palms, unleashing two powerful energy waves that created a large hole in the opposite cave wall. The tremendous impact resonated throughout the entire Cave, sounding like an earthquake. Witnessing such powerful internal energy astonished Kairuot. Looking at his palms, he thought: “This Kiwi is indeed remarkable; no wonder people say that Dragonfall Lodge is a place where dragons hide and tigers crouch, while Qilong Pool is a magical place for enhancement.”
Indeed, this miraculous Kiwi had inadvertently increased Kairuot's power by several hundred times. If he were cultivating in the Golden Tower of the Mars Alliance, it would take him at least a hundred years to achieve such power. As his strength surged dramatically, his Lightness Skill also advanced to another level; he could effortlessly reach the top of the cave without expending much effort.
Kairuot wandered around the Cave for a while and practiced some punches on the ground. In his current state, no one could defeat him. As he contemplated how to confront the dragon outside, the heat in his body returned, and a headache began to set in. He quickly sat down to meditate, trying to use his internal energy to expel the poison within him, but this method was unsuccessful. He had no choice but to dive back into the bone-chilling icy water.
After several rounds of going in and out of the water, Kairuot realized that without soaking in the icy water, he could only stay outside for a maximum of two hours. Otherwise, his head would hurt so much that he could not control himself.
Kairuot had been in the Cave for seven days. Every day, he relied on eating the Kiwi found inside to fill his stomach. With nothing else to do, he felt quite relaxed. The dragon outside had not forgotten about its "old friend," occasionally making noise at the cave entrance as if to remind Kairuot that it was still guarding the exit and that he should not think about escaping its claws.
Unknowingly, the eighth day arrived, and Kairuot felt that he had reached his optimal state in all aspects. It was time to meet this "old friend."
Kairuot quietly submerged himself underwater and slowly swam through the passage leading to the cave entrance. At the moment he emerged from the cave, he suddenly exerted force. Before the dragon could react, with a whoosh, Kairuot leaped out of the water and soared into the sky above the Gorge, creating a long column of water on the calm surface of Qilong Pool. Immediately after, another massive column of water erupted from below as a dragon followed closely behind.
These two columns of water caught the attention of Beldan, who had been searching for Kairuot's whereabouts among the Thorns forest surrounding the Gorge. She saw Kairuot, completely naked, being chased by the dragon in mid-air and could only feel anxious without any way to help.
While fleeing, Kairuot suddenly turned around mid-air and struck with both hands. With a loud bang, he sent the pursuing dragon tumbling through the air, knocking off several scales from its armor. Accompanied by a pained roar from the dragon, its front claw reached out toward Kairuot.
Seeing this scene from the edge of the Gorge, Beldan shouted at the top of her lungs without hesitation: "Danger! Watch out for its claws!!"
Kairuot did not evade the dragon's claw; instead, he aimed directly at it and delivered a powerful strike that severed it completely. Losing its right front claw, the dragon turned its rage toward Beldan and quickly sprayed a jet of water at her, instantly knocking her unconscious on the ground.
The dragon performed a series of maneuvers in mid-air to avoid Kairuot's attacks. Although injured, its combat ability remained formidable—this cunning dragon fought fiercely against Kairuot using its sprays of water and fire to keep distance. The two battled in mid-air for dozens of rounds until Kairuot hesitated for just a moment. The dragon seized this opportunity and opened its massive jaws, diving down rapidly toward Kairuot with intent to swallow him whole.
What the dragon did not expect was Kairuot's incredible strength. Once inside its mouth, Kairuot used sheer force to pry it open. He braced his hands against the upper jaw while stepping on its tongue, effectively preventing the dragon's mouth from closing. The dragon struggled uncomfortably in mid-air, flipping over multiple times while shaking its head vigorously but could not shake off Kairuot who was wedged inside its mouth. Breathing heavily in mid-air, it prepared to muster enough strength to breathe fire and incinerate Kairuot inside.
At that moment, Kairuot gathered all his internal energy and delivered a powerful strike against the upper jaw of the dragon. This blow instantly severed half of its head; before it could even let out a scream, its massive body plummeted into Qilong Pool.
As this fierce battle came to an end, Kairuot felt his headache starting to flare up again and that heat returning prematurely in his body. He had no time to clean up after the battle and hurriedly submerged himself back into Qilong Pool, returning to the bone-chilling icy water once more.
