The three of them crawled out of the cave. To prevent others from discovering the Kiwi inside, Kairuot specifically found a large stone to block the entrance.
Li Girl stood by the shore of Qilong Pool, gazing up at the towering cliffs that rose dozens of feet high. She said to Beldan, "Wow, such a high cliff! It must be a bit difficult for you to leap up there." Before she finished her sentence, Beldan had already taken off into the air, using the Lightness Skill to fly upwards. This surprised Li Girl, and she quickly followed suit. Seeing this, Kairuot also followed behind.
Once they reached the top, Beldan stretched out her arms and shouted joyfully, "Thank you, Great-Great-Grandfather! You helped me come back alive!"
The three of them followed the stream through the Thorny Bushes forest and successfully arrived at the East Gate. There were already people standing by the entrance watching. Upon seeing their figures from afar, they immediately went back to report. Soon, a large group of people came to greet them, led by Great-Great-Grandfather. When Beldan saw Great-Great-Grandfather, she hurriedly ran forward and hugged him tightly, tears streaming down her face.
Great-Grandfather Belzun patted his great-granddaughter's head and said, "You are really naughty. You sneak out without even saying hello to Great-Great-Grandfather, making it hard for him to find you."
Beldan wiped her tears and replied, "I had urgent matters too."
Great-Great-Grandfather pointed at Kairuot and asked, "Did you go looking for that brat?"
Beldan nodded.
Great-Great-Grandfather said teasingly, "Let Great-Great-Grandfather teach him a lesson."
Beldan shook her head.
Great-Great-Grandfather asked, "He bullies you like this, and you still protect him? Why?"
"No way." Beldan pouted in front of Great-Great-Grandfather, "He's not avoiding me; he went to Qilong Pool to kill the Nefarious Dragon. He has already eliminated the Nefarious Dragon at Qilong Pool."
Speaking of the Nefarious Dragon at Qilong Pool, everyone was terrified. Many brave warriors had ventured there over the years, and none returned alive. This Nefarious Dragon was enormous and cunning; it could summon storms, and ordinary people couldn't kill it. For years, it had harmed countless people from Dragonfall Lodge, and the residents had always avoided going near Qilong Pool, especially on gloomy, rainy days. Kairuot, this outsider, actually managed to eliminate this Nefarious Dragon.
"Is that old dragon really dead? You’re not joking with Great-Great-Grandfather, are you?" Great-Great-Grandfather asked in disbelief.
"Why would I lie to you? That giant dragon was really killed by that brat. If you don't believe me, go check out Qilong Pool for yourself!" Beldan raised her voice at Great-Great-Grandfather.
Bel Grandfather quickly instructed a few skilled individuals to head to Qilong Pool to verify.
Long Er was overjoyed to see Belle; he wanted to tug on her ponytail as usual. Long Er leaped into the air and used Lightness Skill to dive down, aiming to grab Belle's ponytail. Unexpectedly, Belle had improved significantly; her Lightness Skill surpassed Long Er's. With quick reflexes, she leaped and caught Long Er in mid-air, playfully tugging on his ear and saying, "Let's see if you dare to pull your sister's hair again."
Long Er had no choice but to kneel and beg for mercy. Great-Great-Grandfather observed Beldan's series of actions and realized that his great-granddaughter's skills had reached an impressive level. He laughed heartily at Long Er and said, "Hahaha, Long Er, you better practice hard; otherwise, Belle will only bully you from now on."
Kairuot was talking with Lily when he saw Great-Great-Grandfather approaching. He paused his conversation and quickly stepped forward to greet him: "Great-Great-Grandfather, hello!"
Great-Great-Grandfather smiled as he looked Kairuot up and down, patting him on the back and saying, "You’re quite the hidden talent; you even dared to take on the giant dragon at Qilong Pool."
Kairuot quickly replied, "Great-Great-Grandfather, you're overpraising me; it was just luck that I happened to kill it."
Great-Great-Grandfather said, "Don't be modest with me; you killed the Nefarious Dragon. We have rewards for that at Dragonfall Lodge."
Kairuot asked, "What kind of reward?"
"You will become my permanent honorary resident at Dragonfall Lodge," Great-Great-Grandfather said, "I have betrothed my most precious great-granddaughter Belden to you." He stroked his beard and smiled.
"Great! Great!" Long Er clapped happily, "Big brother is getting married!"
With a beaming smile, Great-Great-Grandfather continued, "I will personally handle the wedding. Let's all look forward to celebrating the little rascal's wedding feast."
Kairuot could only say one thing: "Thank you, Great-Great-Grandfather! Thank you, Great-Great-Grandfather!"
Fate truly has a sense of humor. Kairuot had once tried every means to escape from Beldan's bridal chamber, but a month later, he found himself back here, leaving him deeply moved. He lay on the bed in Beldan's East Wing Room and curiously asked her:
"How did you know I was at Qilong Pool?"
Beldan pretended to be mysterious and said, "Touch my heart; it will tell you."
What Kairuot sensed in his heart was her silent message: "I love you, and that is how I can find you."
