On the first day of school vacation, Kairuot and Fairleya had made plans to visit a legendary strange cottage at the foot of Olympus Mons on Mars. Fairleya was filled with anticipation about this trip.
However, just as she was trying to sneak out of Mars Alliance School, she was intercepted by her mother, Alice, who had come to pick her up. That day, Alice seemed to see through her daughter's intentions and stayed close to her without giving her a chance to escape. When Fairleya's Wristband received a message from Kairuot, her mother discovered it and angrily confiscated the Wristband, turning it off. As a result, Fairleya had a fierce argument with her mother, but she was helpless as the servants brought by her mother forcibly pushed her into the car that was taking her home.
On the way home, Fairleya's mother Alice kept chattering non-stop: "You’re a girl; why would you want to go to that desolate cottage instead of staying home during your vacation? What if you encounter bad people? Girls should behave like girls and not run around like boys; it leaves a bad impression. If you keep this up, who would dare to marry you in the future?"
Fairleya sat silently in the car, listening quietly to her mother's nagging. She changed her usual habit of arguing back and instead closed her eyes to pretend to sleep. In reality, she wasn’t sleeping; her mind was racing as she thought about how to catch up with Kairuot, who had already set off.
She knew that there was no way she could catch the ship heading towards Olympus Mons now. There was only one Passenger Ship per week going in that direction because it was a sparsely populated area with extremely inconvenient transportation; there were no roads or vehicles. For some unknown reason, aircraft never flew in that direction either. However, the more people avoided going there, the more interested Fairleya became.
Thus, Fairleya devised a plan in the car: she would secretly take her father's aircraft and fly it to the strange cottage they had agreed upon at the foot of Olympus Mons. She thought that if everything went smoothly, she might arrive there before Kairuot.
When Fairleya returned home, she served tea and water to her parents with extra care and spoke softly, acting like a well-behaved daughter. Her parents noticed that their daughter seemed different from before—she was very polite and considerate. Unlike before when she would immediately retreat to her study to play her favorite Virtual Game upon arriving home, she behaved unusually by not touching any gaming equipment for four days and instead diligently read books and studied while spending time chatting with her parents.
On the fifth day, after having lunch with her parents, Fairleya did not go to her room for a nap but patiently sat on the sofa chatting with her father about her school life and studies. The father-daughter duo hit it off well, laughing together until her father had to leave for work, ending their pleasant conversation. At this point, Fairleya told her mother that she felt sleepy and wanted to rest before heading back to her room.
Seeing her daughter return to her room, Alice did not disturb her and let her sleep.
Four hours later, Alice decided to bring Fairleya some afternoon tea and knocked on her daughter's door but received no response. A sense of unease crept over her as she accessed the central system of their home to check on Fairleya's room only to find no sign of her daughter inside...
Alice couldn't help but mutter, "I knew something was off with Fairleya these past few days... She must have been pretending. Where has that girl sneaked off to alone?"
She hurriedly called her husband: "Our daughter is missing."
Before long, Feir Yut hurried back home and told Alice, "Our flying vehicle has been taken from the hangar. I checked the surveillance system and confirmed that our precious daughter drove it away."
Alice suddenly realized and said to her husband Feir Yut, "No wonder she's been so obedient these past few days and even patiently chatted with you; she was looking for a chance to steal the keys to your flying vehicle from your bag."
Feir Yut slapped his forehead and said, "Ah, I was careless. Just yesterday, I even helped her register her fingerprint on my flying vehicle key. My daughter has never come out to greet me personally; today, she even took the initiative to carry my bag."
Alice anxiously said, "We need to hurry and chase after her. Otherwise, it will be too late."
Feir Yut shook his head and said, "It's already too late. The flying vehicle tracker can no longer detect her whereabouts. That clever girl has turned off the tracking switch of the vehicle."

Fairleya piloted her father's stolen flying vehicle towards Olympus Mons, feeling quite pleased. It wouldn't be long before she arrived there ahead of schedule. However, plans often go awry; as soon as her vehicle reached the edge of Olympus Mons, all instruments and gauges malfunctioned completely, rendering her unable to control it. In the end, she had no choice but to make an emergency landing in a dense forest.
Geographically, Fairleya knew she was in Terrifying Forest. She put on her prepared spacesuit and packed essential items like a Laser Assault Rifle, a handgun, a Laser Dagger, a sleeping bag, food supplies, and water into a large backpack before exiting the vehicle. With all navigation systems malfunctioning, she lost all sense of direction and didn't know where to go.
She walked aimlessly forward without noticing a massive spider web ahead of her and soon found herself trapped in it. The stickiness of the web made Fairleya stickier with every movement. At that moment, a Giant Spider crawled along the web strands to her side, continuously spitting silk onto her. No matter how much Fairleya called out, the spider kept wrapping more strands around her until she was completely ensnared. Fairleya could no longer move; the spider jabbed its venomous stinger at her but was thwarted by her spacesuit, which it couldn't penetrate. The spider searched for weak points and finally reached her fingers. Seizing the opportunity, she activated her Palm Laser, shooting a beam that instantly obliterated the spider.
Although the spider was dead, she still couldn't free herself; the silk was wrapped too tightly around her body for her to escape.
"Don't waste your effort," suddenly said an elderly man with white hair as he approached Fairleya. "This spider silk is extremely sticky; once it ensnares you, you can't break free on your own."
The old man then used a thick stick to wrap the spider silk tightly around it. Once he had wrapped enough silk around the stick to resemble a thick cotton candy swirl, he destroyed the entire web. Fairleya was freed and bowed deeply to the old man in gratitude.
Noticing Fairleya's attire, the old man asked, "Are you also heading to Dragonfall Lodge?"
Fairleya nodded and replied, "I have an appointment with a friend to go to Dragonfall Lodge together; I'm on my way to meet him."
The old man asked, "Is your friend named Kairuot?"
"Yes, yes, yes!" Fairleya replied, "How did you know?"
The old man told her, "He is the son of my disciple, my great-grandson. He passed by here and stayed with me for a night. We hit it off well; yesterday, my Laka took him away."
"I still came too late," Fairleya sighed. "Unfortunately, my Navigation Device malfunctioned, and I lost my way. I don't know how to get to Dragonfall Lodge."
"You are a good friend of my great-grandson; I can help you with this. I will lend you a Navigation Device." Saying this, the old man took out a very exquisite Navigator that resembled a human palm. He placed the palm over Fairleya's left hand and used the purple light emitted from his fingertips to fuse the Palm Navigator with her hand, making it impossible to tell that she had a Navigation Device on her hand. After equipping the Navigation Device, the old man said:
"It’s hard to tell that you also have a Laser Weapon installed on your fingertips."
"Will the palm navigation you installed affect the performance of the Laser Pointer?"
"No," the old man instructed Fairleya to spread her left palm open and taught her how to use the Palm Navigation Device. Fairleya quickly learned how to use it. Finally, the old man said to her:
"Remember, you must never tell anyone that I gave you this Palm Navigator. When you return from Dragonfall Lodge, quietly return it to me."
"Thank you!" Fairleya said joyfully, "Thank you, Grandmaster!"
The old man informed her of important things to note in the Terrifying Forest and specifically reminded her that no matter what situation she encountered, she must not take off her spacesuit and should always wear her helmet... Finally, he wished her a swift exit from the Terrifying Forest and a safe arrival at Dragonfall Lodge.
