Fairleya cautiously entered the dark passage, moving forward with care. The passage was very dimly lit, with few sources of light, and she felt anxious, fearing unnecessary trouble.
After an unknown amount of time, she arrived at a fork in the passage. The lights suddenly brightened, but she hesitated, unsure of which way to go—left or right.
Ultimately, she decided to follow the direction indicated by her navigation, which pointed to the right. Just as she was about to head down the right path, she noticed someone approaching from the left. She quickly retreated back into the shadows of the passage. Two people were coming up the left path, chatting as they walked. One of them asked, "It's Carnival today; why are you back here instead of participating?"
"Ugh, don't mention it. It's not my shift today, but Captain Bell Six insisted I cover for him. He wants to make a good impression at the Carnival Arena and hopes Beldan will like him."
"Hehe, I think he looks quite ridiculous; he has so many ideas..."
The two continued their conversation as they headed down the right path, unaware of Fairleya hiding in the dark passage.
Fairleya quickly followed them. The two were engrossed in their discussion and didn't notice her trailing behind. They reached a door in the passage and placed their palms on a square panel beside it. The door opened, and Fairleya dashed forward like lightning, using her fingers to immobilize both individuals. At that moment, the door they had just opened closed behind her.
Fairleya entered a place beyond her imagination—the red dot marked on her navigation map. In this brightly lit hall filled with various instruments and gauges flashing continuously, there was a Control Center. In the center of one wall was a massive display screen showing images of Dragonfall Lodge from above and below ground. This hall was a Command Center that astonished her, shattering her previous impressions of Dragonfall Lodge as a wild place. How had she never heard of this Command Center before?
She released one of the individuals she had immobilized and asked, "What is this place?"
The person completely ignored her.
"If you don't speak up, I'll destroy everything here," Fairleya threatened.
"This is our Bel Tribe's command control center," the person finally replied.
"You Bel Tribe aren't in outer space? How did you end up on Mars?" Fairleya asked again.
"Who said we were in outer space? We've always lived here," the other party replied. "It was you who drove us here."
Fairleya didn't believe it. She walked over to the Control Center and sat down, noticing a control stick. Looking at the words on the panel, she said, "You can't fool me; this is a Spaceship."
She turned her head to see the person behind her and the other person she had immobilized disappearing at the same time. Just as she was surprised, several mechanical arms suddenly extended from the chair she was sitting in and tightly restrained her, leaving her unable to move.
"Hahaha... You think you can fight us? You're too naive," the two people from earlier emerged from a hidden door.
"Let me go! You won't have good outcomes for offending me!" Fairleya said sternly.
The two approached her, and one of them reached out to grab her chest—this infuriated Fairleya! Her arms were bound, but her legs could still move. She kicked out with one foot while raising the other to kick at the person trying to touch her, knocking him down to the ground. The other one, seeing this, became very angry and was about to rush forward when a voice stopped him—
"Who dares to be reckless here!" Accompanied by the voice, a short, stout man with thick limbs appeared.
"It’s her!" The one who had been knocked down pointed at Fairleya, who was restrained by the mechanical arms. "Captain, be careful."
At that moment, Bel Six, who had just been humiliated by Kairuot in the Arena, found an outlet for his anger. He quickly lunged forward, and Fairleya swiftly moved both herself and the chair, kicking Bel Six hard on the thigh and sending him sprawling.
Bel Six, furious and embarrassed, shouted, "Damn it! You're tied up and still so fierce. Just wait and see how I deal with you!"
Bound as she was, Fairleya couldn't move as nimbly. After several exchanges, Bel Six seized an opportunity; he lifted both Fairleya and the chair high above his head and slammed them down onto the ground repeatedly. After throwing her down heavily more than ten times and seeing that she had stopped moving, he approached to take a look. When he removed Fairleya's helmet, a strand of golden hair fell out.
