In the dead of night, Kairuot and his three companions stealthily entered the courtyard of the Dragon Clan.
Kairuot was very familiar with this courtyard, especially the small yard where the bedroom was located, which had once been a place he shared with Beldan. Now, everything had changed; the entire courtyard had a new owner, but for some unknown reason, this small yard had been abandoned by its current master.
The large gate outside the small yard was tightly locked, and with no one living there, the entire courtyard was in a state of neglect. Twigs and fallen leaves littered the ground, and the door inside the yard was unlocked, exposed to the elements and looking quite dilapidated. In the deep night, the whole courtyard appeared eerie. Kairuot searched every room but found nothing of value aside from dust-covered, broken furniture.
Kairuot muttered, "Great-Great-Grandfather has no reason to deceive me."
Li Girl quietly approached him and asked, "What did you say about Great-Great-Grandfather?"
"Nothing much, just a hint from Great-Great-Grandfather," Kairuot replied.
"A hint from Great-Great-Grandfather?" Fairleya chimed in, "Since it's a hint, it must be hidden in a place that others wouldn't easily notice but is something that Kairuot can see at a glance."
"A place I can see at a glance?..." Kairuot looked around. The most noticeable thing in this courtyard was the large tree outside the window, which resembled the tree in the courtyard where he lived as a child.
Kairuot thought for a moment before stepping out of the hall and walking to the large tree in the small yard. This tree was enormous; its trunk was thick enough for over ten people to encircle it, and its exposed roots were as large as several people. The tree stood proudly surrounded by a small yard that had no other trees or landscaping—just this one large tree. It was quite peculiar to have a small yard centered around a single large tree.
"Could this large tree be Great-Great-Grandfather's favorite?" In the pitch-black night, visibility was nearly nonexistent around the tree, but Kairuot's eyes could see well in the dark. He looked up along the trunk but found nothing particularly special about it. He swiftly leaped onto a branch. The others followed him up into the tree.
At that moment, Fairleya remembered that there was a point marked on her Navigator indicating a secret passage located in this small yard. In the tree, Fairleya hurriedly took out her Navigator from her pocket and opened it, discovering that the point was indeed on this tree.
She waved to everyone to come over. Kairuot reacted first and jumped over to her branch. Seeing this, Lily and Bel Purewood also leaped to join them on the branch. Once everyone gathered around, Fairleya said:
"The Navigator marks this large tree as a point for a secret passage; it seems like this tree is a door."
"A door?" Lily exclaimed in surprise. "Where is it? I can't see it!"
Kairuot replied, "The switch for the door might be hidden among these branches or possibly in the irregularities of the trunk. If we find the switch, it would mean we've found the door to the secret passage. Let's split up and search; we might discover something."
Hearing Kairuot say this, everyone began to search separately, but no matter how hard they looked, the switch remained undiscovered. Just as dawn was approaching and everyone was feeling a bit discouraged, Kairuot suddenly noticed that one of the largest branches of the big tree was different from the others; it was clearly well-trodden and smooth from frequent visits. Kairuot confidently told everyone:
"This tree trunk must be a door. I just don't know how to open it." As he spoke, he pointed at the trunk. Just as his words finished, a door appeared in the trunk and opened. Kairuot thought his finger was magical until Lily reminded him, "It's the ring that Belle gave you that opened this door."
Indeed, Kairuot had a ring given to him by Belden, which was placed on his finger during their wedding. He hadn't realized it was the key to opening a hidden passage.
"Now I understand," Kairuot said.
Everyone entered through the door that had opened in the trunk, discovering that it led to the interior of the spaceship.
At this moment, it was already early morning, a time when people feel extremely fatigued. The personnel on duty inside the spaceship had grown weary of decades of monotonous waiting day and night without any incidents occurring. By this time, their eyelids were heavy, and they lay sprawled on the ground fast asleep.
Kairuot easily entered the interior, quickly approached and struck several pressure points on the guardians, and together they disabled all surveillance equipment and destroyed the main control console before continuing forward according to the navigation instructions.
As they approached the spaceship's Command Center, they were finally discovered by the guarding soldiers. To resolve things quickly, everyone unleashed their unique skills, swiftly eliminating the soldiers blocking their way through the hidden passage. Taking advantage of the smoke from the passage, they rushed into the spaceship's Command Center.
Just as they stepped through the entrance of the Command Center, they were met with a barrage from a Laser Cannon. The intense explosions collapsed the entire entrance of the hidden passage, sealing it shut. Fortunately, Kairuot reacted quickly and leaped past the entrance, avoiding their attack.
Only Kairuot managed to enter the spaceship's Command Center.
Inside the Command Center, there was only Kairuot, quiet and alone.
Kairuot leaped to the main control console and after some investigation, used his ring to activate the main control switch, instantly opening all doors in the base. He wanted to further search for the electromagnetic wave and Electronic Interference master switch when Bel Six and his Special Forces Members arrived.
Knowing Kairuot's capabilities, Bel Six disregarded the equipment in the Command Center and ordered a full-scale attack on it at any cost; he was determined to eliminate Kairuot.
After a barrage of explosions, silence returned to the Command Center, which had been completely destroyed. Taking advantage of the thick smoke, Bel Six and his Special Forces Members cautiously entered with their weapons drawn.
However, they did not expect that Kairuot, unharmed, would suddenly appear before them. He shouted loudly: "Bel Six! Surrender now; you can't escape."
Bel Six realized it was too late to escape as Kairuot grabbed his arm. The other team members attempted to raise their guns to retaliate, but with a light wave of Kairuot's hand, several were knocked down, and the rest scattered like birds.
Caught by Kairuot, Bel Six was unable to break free. He had not recovered his strength since being beaten by Fairleya in Heavenly Dragon Town, leaving him unable to resist. He could only plead for mercy: "Please let me go, I have no enmity with you."
"I just want to know the whereabouts of Belden. If you don't want to die, tell me quickly."
"Beldan?" Bel Six thought for a moment and stammered, "I’m not sure..."
Kairuot squeezed Bel Six's arm tightly, causing him to cry out in pain. He hurriedly said, "She was demoted to Earth along with Bel Grandfather."
Kairuot frowned, tightening his grip on Bel Six's arm even more. "I hope you are telling the truth; otherwise..."
"I am telling the truth! Please spare my life..." Bel Six repeatedly begged, nodding and bowing. "I wouldn't dare lie to you..."
At that moment, a squad of alien National Guard members rushed in from outside, opening fire on Kairuot. He quickly released Bel Six and began to fight back. By the time he repelled the attackers, he discovered that Bel Six had taken the opportunity to escape.
Following the navigation route, Fairleya fought her way through, turning the entire base upside down. Wherever they went, they destroyed nearly all the equipment they encountered.
After making a large detour, they finally regrouped with Kairuot. Li Girl saw that the Command Center was in ruins but remained uneasy. She placed each Missile into the damaged equipment before retreating into a hidden passage. With a series of intense explosions, the Dragonfall Lodge's Alien Spaceship base was completely destroyed.
The ship hidden in Olympus Mountain was now utterly wrecked and seemed unable to return to space.
