Kairuot intended to find Belt for translation on this return to Nuzhicheng, and then quickly head to Chang'an to look for Li Girl's Parents. However, after encountering a small incident with the Mongolian Cavalry attacking the city, they were warmly welcomed by the people of Nuzhicheng, which delayed them for a few days. The Giant Dragon Osei carried Kairuot, Li Girl, and Bel Purewood flying ahead, while Belt rode on Unicorn Laka flying behind them towards Chang'an.
Although Belt had been to Chang'an multiple times before, he had always traveled by horse. This was his first experience flying in the sky, which made him both excited and nervous. When Kairuot and his companions reached Chang'an, it was noon. To avoid disturbing the citizens of Chang'an, they chose to land in the suburbs on the eastern side of the city at Belt's suggestion. The three of them could jump down from the air, while Belt needed to be brought down by Unicorn Laka.
They landed on a main road leading to Chang'an without being noticed. Just as Belt was about to be hit by the guards! A shadow flashed past and pulled him aside—saving him was Kairuot. That was a close call! If he had been just a moment slower, Belt would have been seriously injured.
Hearing the commotion behind them, Li Girl and Bel Purewood quickly moved aside as well. Looking at the rushing carriage, Li Girl exclaimed angrily, "What kind of people are these? So reckless! Be careful not to overturn!"
The horse-drawn carriage, adorned with gold and silver, was magnificent, making it clear at a glance that someone from the royal family was inside. This series of actions was executed so quickly that their opponents had no time to react; all swords directed at the carriage were knocked away. The little girl was now safely in his arms.
At that moment, Li Girl and Bel Purewood also joined the fight, catching the Masked Persons off guard and causing them to retreat in defeat. The tide of battle had turned; just then, officials from Chang'an City rushed over upon hearing the commotion. The leading Masked Person realized things were going poorly and signaled for his subordinates to retreat.
In Kairuot's arms was a little girl who had nearly fainted from the shock of what had just happened... Kairuot noticed she wore a golden ring on her finger that bore an identical pattern to his own ring but was slightly smaller. Just as he was about to ask her where she got it from, all the officials knelt down. At that moment, Belt stepped forward, bowed, and told her, "His name is Kairuot."
