After the recent ordeal, everyone was feeling a bit tired, and the next day, many of them were reluctant to get out of bed, especially Li Girl. She had been the one clamoring to enter the palace yesterday, and today she was the last to rise. If it weren't for Belt urging her by the window, Li Girl would probably have slept until noon.
As they dragged their feet, by the time everyone finished washing up and had breakfast, it was already midday.
Belt kept complaining to herself, "It's my fault for oversleeping and not waking everyone up earlier. Look, we've wasted half the day again."
Li Girl, however, seemed unconcerned and said, "I think it's too early to go to the palace now. The emperor might still be taking his afternoon nap."
"If the emperor is still sleeping at this hour, that's just ridiculous," Kairuot remarked. "The sun is already high in the sky."
Li Girl began to predict again with her ominous tone, "What if we arrive late and find that the Imperial Edict has already been taken down?"
Belt replied, "You better not say such things. The first time you predicted that someone's carriage would overturn, it actually happened. Are you saying this time... sigh, we should have taken down the Imperial Edict last night to avoid any complications today."

Soon after, they arrived at Chang'an Avenue... and sure enough, Li Girl's ominous prediction came true; the Imperial Edict had already been taken down.
Kairuot couldn't help but feel shocked—who was bold enough to impersonate someone and take down the Imperial Edict? It was simply reckless!
They inquired at the location where the Imperial Edict had been posted and learned that a young man had taken it down early that morning. He had been summoned by the emperor but was quickly discovered to be a fraud. He was severely punished with a hundred lashes, breaking both his legs, and was now being displayed outside East Gate.
Those present commented that the princess had a soft heart and did not execute him; he was indeed lucky.
While they were discussing this, a new Imperial Edict was posted again. This time it clearly stated that anyone impersonating others would be killed without mercy.
Seeing the new Posted Imperial Edict, Belt couldn't wait any longer and immediately went to take it down. The soldiers quickly apprehended her, binding her hands behind her back as she shouted in protest, "Why are you arresting me? I'm here to take down the Imperial Edict!"
"Do you still dare to reveal the Imperial Edict? You have some nerve. Just this morning, we dealt with one, and now there's another reckless one," the soldier said, drawing his sword and preparing to strike at Belt's neck. "The Imperial Edict states that all impersonators are to be Kill Without Mercy."
At this critical moment, Kairuot made a swift move and knocked the soldier's raised sword away. The soldier's face turned pale as he turned to look at Kairuot, his teeth chattering, "What do you want?"
Before the soldier could finish his sentence, Li Girl leaped forward and kicked the soldier who was holding Belt's arm more than ten feet away. She muttered, "This is what happens to those who randomly grab us!"
Taking advantage of the chaos, Belt ran back to their side.
The soldier couldn't understand the words of the Martians, thinking they intended to kill him, which made his face turn even paler. Nevertheless, he shouted, "You dare! We are carrying out official duties. Do you think you can provoke the Royal Guards and get away with it?"
Feeling emboldened, Belt asked, "I came here with good intentions to reveal the Imperial Edict. Why do you want to kill me?"
The soldier replied tremulously, "Because the Imperial Edict says it concerns a young and handsome lad. You have a full beard and many wrinkles on your face; you don't look young, so... so we are taking you down."
Belt angrily retorted, "Even if you take me down, you can't just raise your sword without asking for clarification!"
The soldier stubbornly argued, "We want to make an example out of you... because the Imperial Edict states that all impersonators are to be Kill Without Mercy."
At that moment, a large number of Right Wing Imperial Guard arrived, causing the crowd to scatter in panic.
The leading Captain, seeing one soldier kicked and another trembling against the wall, was furious—how dare anyone bully the Right Wing Imperial Guard! This was unforgivable! He ordered his troops to take formation, drawing bows and preparing for battle against Kairuot and the others.
Just then, another group arrived; it was a general from the Right Wing Imperial Guard. As soon as this young and handsome general appeared, the soldiers' morale surged. He commanded the Right Wing Imperial Guard to block all exits on the street. The four of them were surrounded with no way to escape.
Belt had never seen such a situation before and couldn't help but exclaim, "It's over! It's over! We can't run anymore! We're finished!"
Li Girl saw the situation and sneered, "Wow, this bear soldier isn't enough for me to handle."
To capture the thief, one must first capture the king. Li Girl said this as she leaped towards the general of the Right Wing Imperial Guard. This general was no pushover; seeing Lily strike at him with her palm, he immediately crossed his Fang Tian Ji in front of his chest to block her powerful blow. Both the general and his horse were pushed back a few steps by the force of her strike.
The general did not expect that the girl attacking him would have such impressive Lightness Skill, and her speed was like lightning, nearly knocking the breath out of him with her strike. However, he clearly underestimated Li Girl's skills. By the time he regained his composure, she had already launched a second attack. The general quickly raised his Fang Tian Ji and swept it towards Lily, creating a gust of wind with such force that Li Girl had to dodge urgently. Yet, she performed a leap and flip in mid-air, kicking fiercely at the general's chest, only to be blocked again by his Fang Tian Ji. Seeing her sneak attack fail, Li Girl secretly drew a flying dagger from her body and threw it at the general, but he swiftly dodged it, showing that his martial arts were not to be underestimated. The two sides engaged in fierce combat for over ten exchanges.
Just as neither side could gain the upper hand and were preparing to use their respective trump cards, someone shouted, "The princess has arrived!"
Immediately after, a young voice rang out as she scolded loudly, "Everyone stop!!"
Although Li Girl could not understand what the young princess was saying, she saw everyone kneeling down and also ceased fighting, returning to Kairuot's side.
The guards made way as the young princess stepped down from her palanquin and walked up to Kairuot, saying, "I am very sorry for startling my benefactor."
Upon hearing Belt's translation, Kairuot stepped forward with both palms together in front of his chest and said, "Thank you for your concern, Princess. We come from Mars and do not understand the customs; we apologize for disturbing you."
Unexpectedly, the princess spoke in Mars Language, saying, "No need to be polite. You have come from afar; we should treat you with courtesy. I have been summoned by Elder Brother Emperor specifically to welcome you into the palace. Please follow me."
Kairuot was very surprised: "You are Martians?"
The young princess did not answer but turned her horse around and headed towards the palace. The four of Kairuot followed closely behind. The previously tense soldiers of the Right Wing Imperial Guard also sheathed their weapons and lined up neatly behind them as they all walked towards the palace.
