The street was crowded with people, all watching as Zhang Tianba was defeated, and everyone couldn't help but applaud in delight. At that moment, a group of Officials arrived, and Kairuot hurriedly took the little princess into the Litong Inn.
Once inside the inn room, the little princess met Belden for the first time and appeared to be quite frightened for some reason.
Kairuot pulled her in front of Belden and smiled, saying, "This is your mother."
"Mother?..." The little princess looked at her mother with a strange expression and finally uttered, "Is this really mom?… Mom…"
Belden immediately embraced the little princess, saying excitedly, "My dear daughter!"
At that moment, Li Girl entered the room and anxiously said, "Belle, we need to set off—it's a long way to the Bermuda Triangle. The sooner we leave, the better, to avoid any unforeseen troubles!"
Belden happily told Li Girl, "Did you see that I have a beautiful daughter now? Let's first go to Penglai Immortal Island and settle my daughter before we set off." Saying this, she introduced the little princess to Li Girl and referred to Lily as her sister-in-law.
Li Girl was overjoyed and exclaimed, "She should call me mom too."
The little princess was quick to adapt and sweetly called out, "Sister-in-law mom!"
This made Li Girl so happy that she nearly jumped up. "My daughter is so understanding!"
"Sister-in-law mom…" the little princess curiously asked Li Girl, "Are you going on that big adventure? I want to go too…"
Kairuot kindly said to the little princess, "You're still young; it's too dangerous there for you. You can't go."
Everyone agreed that they couldn't take the little princess on the mission, which disappointed her greatly.
After discussing it, they decided that due to the little princess's disappearance, posters were plastered all over the city searching for her. They couldn't leave the city during the day, so they planned to wait until deep at night when it was quiet. They would find a spacious place to summon Giant Dragon Osei and Unicorn Laka, with Long Er leading the dragon as they all flew together to Penglai Immortal Island.
In the late night, everyone quietly set off. Kairuot left a letter for Belt so as not to disturb him, and Beldan also left all her belongings for him.
They arrived at an open area by the banks of Luoshui in the outskirts of Luoyang City, where Giant Dragon Osei and the unicorn also landed. Long Er had not seen Osei for a long time, and they were very affectionate. The unicorn stuck close to Kairuot, while the little princess, seeing the dragon and unicorn for the first time, was very curious.
She clearly liked the unicorn very much and asked Kairuot, "Father, let me ride it."
Kairuot nodded in agreement. Long Er, Belden, Li Girl, and Bel Purewood were carried by Giant Dragon Osei, while Kairuot and the little princess rode the unicorn as they flew into the sky together. Although the night sky was pitch black, they all had night vision capabilities and could see the surrounding scenery. The little princess looked down at Luoyang City from high above and saw countless undying lights still shining in the city, exclaiming, "Luoyang City is so beautiful!"
Kairuot told her, "Father will take you to even more beautiful cities in the future; the scenery there is even more enchanting."
"Father, you mustn't lie to me. Adults always like to deceive."
"When have I ever lied to you?"
At dawn, Giant Dragon Osei and Unicorn Laka landed on an island called Solitary Sail. This was an isolated island shrouded in a light mist, with a hazy view resembling a faint ink painting.
After breakfast, Beldan informed everyone that they were still halfway to Penglai Immortal Island and would need to wait here for two or three days until the mist in the sky cleared before they could enter.
This island was quite strange; there were only two households on the entire island. The houses had an ancient charm with red bricks and green tiles. Two three-story lofts stood out prominently on this lonely island. Under the cover of light mist, they looked like a mirage from afar. It served as a reception station for Penglai Immortal Island, with many rooms inside each loft. After a tiring night of travel, no one was interested in enjoying the scenery of the island; they all lay down in their respective rooms and fell into deep sleep.
Kairuot couldn't sleep. He pushed open the back window of his room and saw a small courtyard outside. Despite being covered by a thin layer of mist, an ancient tree stood out prominently in the courtyard. Its branches twisted and strong, intertwining roots made it majestic like a giant umbrella that sheltered the entire courtyard beneath its protection. There was a garden under the tree filled with vibrant flowers and exotic plants; surprisingly, there were even colorful kiwis in the flower beds. Everything here felt so familiar that it stirred Kairuot's memories.
He thought to himself: "This arrangement seems just like the waiting courtyard of the Dragon Clan; where did these kiwis come from?"
At this moment, Belden had come to his side and kindly asked, "What have you discovered?"
"What I see before me feels like we've returned to the courtyard where brides used to wait."
"Your feeling is correct; this place was built to resemble that courtyard."
"No wonder it looks so familiar. This room is your former bridal chamber, and this courtyard is the waiting courtyard."
Belden gazed affectionately at Kairuot and said, "Do you know? Every year, there’s a time when I quietly stay here, reminiscing about our beautiful moments together."
Kairuot replied tenderly, "I've been thinking about you too!"
He embraced Belden, who naturally held Kairuot tightly in return, resting her head against his chest as they immersed themselves in happy memories.
At that moment, the little princess was walking down the corridor, calling out loudly, "Father! Father! Where are you?..."
Kairuot thought something had happened and quickly opened the door to ask her what was wrong.
When the little princess entered the room and saw Belden there, she tried to leave but was stopped by Kairuot. She had no choice but to tell the truth: she wanted Father to take her to the island for fun. So Kairuot and Belden took the little princess to explore the island for the entire morning. The little princess had never seen such a vast ocean or picked such beautiful flowers. They played joyfully, and by noon, each of them held a bouquet of flowers in their hands. This was the happiest time of the little princess's life.
Three days later, as the mist on the island gradually cleared, before anyone could fully appreciate the beauty under the sunlight, they boarded the Giant Dragon Osei and unicorn to head towards Penglai Immortal Island.
