Not long after, Fairleya, Kairuot, and Li Girl were set to say their goodbyes, guided by Belden out of Penglai Immortal Island.
Belden also wished to accompany them, but her two daughters and son needed her care. Xiaoli had entrusted her parents to her, making it impossible for her to leave.
Before everyone parted ways completely, the group returned to the island called Solitary Sail. They were already familiar with the island, which had an attic and a small courtyard. After some pushing and shoving among the three sisters, they ended up living together in the waiting bride's courtyard. Li Girl stayed in the right wing room, while her two older sisters occupied the left wing room, leaving Kairuot alone in the attic room.
That night, unable to sleep, Li Girl went to the left wing room to join the fun. The three women chatted while enjoying tea.
As the saying goes: three women make a play. Moreover, they were parting ways tomorrow and had many heartfelt words to share.
Fei Leiya sighed, "Alas, I wonder when my fate with him will come to fruition."
Xiaoli said, "Sister Laiya, why don’t you just stay? The laws of Mars don’t apply to Earth’s Penglai Immortal Island. The mountains are high and the emperor is far away; we can hold a grand wedding for you on the island. Wouldn’t it be nice for us three sisters to live happily together from now on?"
"If I only thought about our little family, I would be very willing. However, Mars needs us, and the Fair Tribe needs us too. Mars is currently in a restless era; turmoil could happen at any moment. I cannot focus solely on my small family while neglecting the greater good."
"I'm not as noble as you; I never think about these issues—who cares about Mars or Earth? As long as I'm happy!" Li Girl said.
"It's not about whether you want to think about it," Belden replied. "There are always restless Homo Sapiens in this universe who believe their intelligence is superior. These Homo Sapiens do not use their cleverness to save and develop humanity; instead, they want to dominate the world using the advanced technology they possess."
"This world cannot be controlled by Homo Sapiens just because they wish it so. Even if one becomes an intelligent being, they still cannot defy the laws of nature. Dominating the world is not achieved through military conquest but through wisdom. Force will only accelerate planetary destruction and lead humanity toward extinction," Fairleya further expressed her views. "Humanity has developed into a highly intelligent and advanced era; it inevitably leads toward self-destruction—a certain kind of law that seems like a curse from God. Hopefully, Mars will not walk this path too quickly."
"I heard from Great-Great-Grandfather that many thousands of years ago, Earth had a prehistoric civilization that was said to be as advanced as Mars," Belden said. "The destruction of Earth was caused by wars among highly intelligent humans. The current Earth is the result of our Martian ancestors' continuous transformation over many years. To prevent Earth from being destroyed again and to stop Earthlings from becoming Homo Sapiens, our ancestors incorporated genetic codes into the genes of Martians sent to Earth that limit their cognitive ability development. This is why Earth's development is slower than Mars's."
The conversation between the two sisters was quite engaging. Li Girl listened in disbelief at how much Belle had changed; she was no longer the playful and competitive Belden of the past. The topics discussed were ones she had never heard before, and she praised, "Belle, you know so much!"
Fei Leiya, after pondering for a moment, asked, "So, according to you, Great-Great-Grandfather established a base on Earth to control its development and prevent its destruction?"
Belden replied, "Great-Great-Grandfather was entrusted by our ancestors to continue expanding the base on Earth. The purpose of establishing the base was to protect Earth. A powerful protective layer has now been built around Earth so that it can be shielded from alien disturbances and invasions, ensuring that this green planet will not face destruction again."
"No wonder it's harder for us to enter Earth than before; now it makes sense. This proves how powerful the base at Penglai Immortal Island is," Fei Leiya understood. "Our ancestors had foresight and had already laid out plans on Earth; they intended to use Earth as a backup planet."
Belden continued, "Great-Great-Grandfather said our ancestors, the Capricornians, built several bases and pyramids on Earth. However, only the base at Penglai Immortal Island truly plays a role on Earth; the others can at best serve as transit stations or time tunnels for traveling to other planets. He also wanted to clarify how many bases were built on Earth, so Sister Li, your journey to Earth would be useful in understanding how many entrances there are for traveling back and forth in the universe."
Li Girl exclaimed, "After all this time, my trip to Earth with Brother Kairuot is just an add-on! How boring! I'm done with you all talking about Earth and Mars all night. Can we discuss what plans our family has for the future? That would be a more realistic topic."
"What interesting topic are you discussing?" Kairuot entered at that moment with a gentle smile.
Seeing Kairuot come in, Belden said, "You should discuss this with Sister Li. She likes this topic." With that, she stood up and walked out.
"Right, I'm tired too and need some rest. If you have questions, go talk to Li Girl," Fei Leiya said as she urged him away.
Kairuot couldn't sleep that night either. He lived in the attic and could see the left wing of the courtyard where brides-to-be stayed through his window. At first, he didn't notice the light in the left wing; he quietly sipped Fruit Tea while gazing at the night scenery outside, reminiscing about his son's adorable face, filled with happiness. Unfortunately, he didn't have a formal relationship with Fairleya; like his parents, he secretly buried his love deep within his heart. Whether they could unite on Mars remained a big question. His father had fought against such circumstances but ended up with both of them hurt and without resolution; his mother could only silently endure the pain of loving someone she couldn't be with openly. His greatest wish was to achieve unity on Mars and promote solidarity among all ethnic groups so that those in love could finally be together.
He thought about many things until late at night when he noticed that the light in the left wing was still on and heard Xiao Li's voice speaking loudly inside. Knowing they hadn't gone to sleep either, he went downstairs and opened the door to the left wing. Just as he asked his question, Belden and Fei Leiya pushed him and Li Girl out...
Xiao Li hugged him and said, "Brother Kairuot, you can't find an excuse tonight, right? I am your wife now; you can't keep avoiding me. Both of my sisters have given way to me, so what are you hiding from? If it weren't for them being quicker than me, you would like me, wouldn't you?"
As she spoke, she kissed Kairuot on the cheek and added, "If I can't be your true wife, I will be sad for the rest of my life..."
Kairuot sighed and finally nodded.

The next day, the sun was already overhead when they both came out of the room. Belden then asked Xiao Li, "Did you sleep well last night?" Xiao Li blushed and shyly found it hard to answer.
The four of them had brunch together. After the meal, Belden first bid them farewell. She told Kairuot and Xiao Li, "Just keep heading west, and you'll reach the easternmost point of Earth Coast. From there, it's not far to Dunhuang Mogao Caves."
Then she turned her head and pointed north to Fei Leiya, saying, "If you go straight north from here, you'll reach the North Pole of Earth."
Everyone waved goodbye and flew off in different directions on floating clouds.
