Xiaoli heard Kairuot's words and couldn't help but curse, "Who is so vicious? Once I go out, I will definitely tear him to pieces!"
At this moment, Kairuot began to observe his surroundings more seriously, thinking: "Since there are tables and chairs set up here as a resting place, there might be a resting room nearby."
He then tried knocking on the walls around the tables and chairs. Soon, he hit a spot that sounded hollow. He immediately gathered his inner strength and struck the wall with both palms. With a loud bang, the wall was breached, and the corridor was suddenly illuminated by light from within. Before them unfolded another scene—Kairuot realized he had underestimated the intelligence of the Capricornians. The abandoned scene they had just seen was merely an illusion created by the Capricornians; he almost fell for it. What lay before them was a small control room of the Capricornian Base, filled with various equipment. Although they did not encounter anyone, everything was functioning normally, and the wall screen displayed various messages.
Just as Kairuot intended to read the messages on the wall screen carefully, the image shifted to that of a space beauty who politely said, "Welcome to our Control Room 11007. Please let us know if you have any requests."
Xiaoli looked around but did not see any surveillance cameras. She said, "We just broke through the wall and entered this room less than ten minutes ago; their response is too quick."
Kairuot told her, "We have been monitored by them every minute and second. They mean no harm; they just want to trap us."
At that moment, the screen displayed an internal map of the Control Room's surroundings, indicating passages, bedrooms, and a dining room.
Following the map's instructions, they first arrived at the bedroom—the entire layout of the bedroom was quite similar to Martian style. There were two rooms; in front was a wall lined with a sofa and coffee table, which was already piled high with various fruits. The inner room was the bedroom, which included a bathroom with a toilet.
Seeing the fruits on the coffee table, Xiaoli felt dissatisfied and muttered, "We haven't eaten for days; just fruits? Do they want us to lose weight?"
"You should be grateful for having fruits to eat. They didn't lock you in a dark corridor without food or water until you became a dried corpse."
After washing her hands, Xiaoli was about to grab some fruit from the coffee table when the girl appeared again on the wall screen, still speaking in that gentle voice: "I assume you two guests must be hungry; your meals have been prepared. Please proceed to the dining room."
Kairuot found it puzzling; they must have been secretly monitoring them all along, yet he felt no presence around them. He thought: "Since they are treating us so courteously, we might as well follow their suggestion and go eat."
He took Xiaoli's hand and followed the directions on the map to the dining room, where they saw a table full of delicious dishes already laid out. They sat down at the dining table and began to eat ravenously; it had been three days since they had properly enjoyed a meal. This meal replenished much of their energy.
Xiao Li finished her meal and said, "I can't believe the facilities here are better than those on Mars."
At that moment, the girl appeared again on the wall screen: "Your room has a bathroom, with hot water available twenty-four hours a day. Fruits are placed on the coffee table of your room's sofa; you can eat them anytime, and if you need more, just let us know. If you need anything else, feel free to ask. I hope you enjoy your stay here!"
Kairuot told the girl facing the screen, "We don't need anything; we just want to get out as soon as possible. Please tell us how to exit the base."
The girl on the wall did not respond, and the image flickered and disappeared.
Xiao Li saw the disappearing girl and shouted at Screen Wall, "Is this meant to trap us? You won't tell us? We can still get out without your help; you can't keep us here! Kairuot brother, let's find a way out right now."
As soon as Xiao Li's voice faded, the girl on the screen walked in through the room's main door and approached them. She was a typical alien beauty, with striking features and delicate facial features; her long eyelashes framed enchanting large eyes. She had long, sleek black hair cascading over her shoulders and wore a pink fitted dress that accentuated her perfect curves.
The girl smiled broadly and bowed to them: "I apologize; your request to leave quickly is not included in your itinerary. I have reported it to headquarters and am awaiting a response. We will do our best to accommodate your request."
Kairuot said to the girl, "We don't want to stay in this room; we want to explore. Is that possible?"
"Yes," the girl replied with a smile, "but I can only take you there. Where would you like to go?"
"Of course, somewhere fun with a nice view," Xiao Li said. "But this place seems boring; you won't take us back to Dead Grave, will you?"
The girl hesitated for a moment and said, "Alright, please follow me."
Under the girl's guidance, they left the dining hall, opened an Invisible Door, and walked through a long corridor until they arrived at a subway station. The girl raised her arm and entered travel information on her Wristband. Soon after, a Maglev Car automatically arrived and stopped beside them. The three quickly entered the vehicle, closed the doors, and the Maglev Car sped away at an incredible pace.
Sitting inside the vehicle, Xiao Li found it hard to believe what she was experiencing. She said, "Am I dreaming?… There are actually such transportation tools on Earth. I always thought Earth was backward; this has completely opened my eyes and changed my perspective."
"Keep going further in, and you'll be even more amazed!" Kairuot said calmly.
Xiao Li leaned closer to the girl sitting in front of the car and asked, "Can you tell us how big this pyramid really is?"
The girl did not answer her question; instead, Kairuot, sitting next to her, chuckled, "You're still thinking about Dead Grave? We're already far from the pyramid. If I'm not mistaken, we've now entered the heart of the Earth and are traveling through Earth's Core."
"Is he correct?" Xiao Li continued to ask the girl, who just smiled and still did not join their conversation.
After several hours of travel, the speeding Maglev Car stopped at a secluded station. The lighting in the station was dim, and there wasn't a single person around. As Xiao Li got off and saw the desolate station, she said to Kairuot, "It seems like we've arrived at Hell's Ghost Station; there's not even a shadow of a person."
"Don't talk nonsense," Kairuot said as he followed the girl off the car. "This place isn't for just anyone; if you encounter Earthlings here, that would be something else."
Just then, a girl with a blank expression, dressed similarly to the other girl, walked past them. Xiao Li took the opportunity to approach her and called out, "Excuse me, miss." She called twice, but the girl completely ignored her.
Xiao Li simply blocked her path: "I'm asking you a question; don't you have ears? — What exactly is this place?"
The girl still did not respond but bowed to her and then walked around her.
Xiao Li watched the girl walk away and muttered, "The people here are all strange; their behavior is really odd!"
Under the girl's guidance, they entered a passageway and eventually arrived at the entrance of the Light-Speed Elevator.
