A group of people quickly ascended to a pyramid made entirely of glass using the Light-Speed Elevator.
Under the guidance of a girl, Kairuot and Xiaoli entered the tower. As soon as they stepped inside, the lights automatically turned on. Looking up, they could see marine creatures through the glass, creating a truly beautiful scene.
There were not many instruments inside the tower; at the center of Tower Spitze was a Control Center, surrounded by sofas and coffee tables. Each corner had flower stands with plants like Vines growing on them. The vibrant blue sea outside was filled with small fish swimming among colorful corals, while Starfish and Jellyfish danced gracefully in the water. Occasionally, various colorful small fish swam by, forming a marvelous seascape that was breathtaking.
Before long, the girl retrieved some warm Fruit Tea from the Control Center and handed it to them.
After maintaining silence throughout the journey, the girl finally spoke, saying, "After you finish the Fruit Tea, rest on the sofa and wait for dinner."
"Aren't you thirsty?" Xiaoli asked with concern. "Why don't you have my cup?"
The girl politely shook her head in refusal.
After dinner, as the girl was about to take them to their resting room, Kairuot gently tapped her with his finger, causing her to faint instantly. Seeing this, Xiaoli hurriedly asked, "What are you doing?"
Kairuot quietly explained to her that the girl's ring was the key to entering various passages. As long as they had her ring, they could smoothly access their internal base.
Soon after, Xiaoli quickly changed clothes with the girl and put on her ring while Kairuot donned a mask he found in the room.
Using the ring, they successfully opened the door of the glass pyramid and entered the passage. They remained silent along the way but communicated with each other through their Sixth Sense. Xiaoli asked, "The girl was guiding us just fine; why did you abandon her midway?"
Kairuot replied, "This girl is a Clone; she is being manipulated by someone behind her. We can't keep passively letting them lead us around."
"We've already left the pyramid graveyard; what do we have to fear from them?"
"Don't be naive; in reality, we've been deceived by them and have been circling within Earth's Core without going far. The scene we saw while riding in the Maglev Car and the pyramid we entered are illusions created by them. Didn't you feel anything?"
"No wonder I thought the seaside view outside the glass tower was so beautiful."
Disguised, Xiaoli continued to move forward, followed closely by the Skeleton Masked Man, Kairuot. They passed through many corridors but could not find the entrance to the base. The two wandered aimlessly inside, unable to find their way out, until they reached a fork in one of the corridors. As they hesitated about which way to go, Kairuot's sharp eyes spotted someone coming down the right corridor, and they both silently exclaimed: "Belden."
They realized it was too late to avoid him and were preparing to push forward when Belden turned left into another path.
Kairuot was puzzled and thought: "This Belden used to be the steward of Heavenly Dragon Town; he has come here too. Could it be that Belzon has built a base in Earth's Core on this planet?"
Xiaoli said: "Who cares whose base it is! Let's follow him in and take a look."
They quietly followed behind Belden. To avoid alarming him, Kairuot activated his Eighth Sense—Spatial Awareness. Even from several yards away, he could sense which direction Belden was heading. They navigated through several complex and intersecting corridors, opened a few Invisible Doors, and arrived at a spacious and bright hall.
This hall was a Control Room, with instruments, gauges, and screens displaying data, graphics, and images that were completely different from those in other Control Rooms.
Kairuot observed the screens for a while and said: "This is a Control Room for a Cloning Production Line."
Xiaoli asked in confusion: "What does Great-Great-Grandfather need so many Clones for?"
"I don't know either."
"Could it be that we are going to be Cloned as well?"
"If he wants to Clone us, there's probably nothing we can do to stop it."
Kairuot sat at the main control station, opened the central computer, and browsed through the Clones' data. Eventually, he found Belden, Belri, and their related information on the list of Clones. He told Xiaoli: "Our information is in this Cloning Factory."
"So that means we have been Cloned too."
"Not necessarily; the computer only shows detailed information about our bodies and our images but does not indicate that we have already been Cloned." Kairuot continued searching through the computer data and said, "The production records of the factory do not include us either."
Xiaoli dismissively replied: "The Clones are just our shells; they are of no use. If they want to Clone us, let them do it; I don't care."
Kairuot said: "Every technology has its origins and developments; Great-Great-Grandfather's Clones must have their purpose."
Xiao Li urged, "There's nothing interesting in the computer data, let's hurry and check out the inside."
They quickly arrived at a designated viewing corridor for the production line. Looking through the glass, they saw a modern Cloning Production Line. In the first production workshop, various raw materials were continuously poured into the machine's funnel, entering complex machinery pipelines...
Xiao Li exclaimed in surprise, "These lifeless raw materials become alive through inconspicuous pipes; the birth of life is too easy."
Kairuot smiled and said, "Anything that goes into your mouth seems simple. This is very advanced technology; it's not just about wanting to change. With their current Cognitive Ability, Earthlings would find it quite difficult to create Clones. I doubt we will see that in our lifetime. Whether their descendants can evolve into superhuman Homo Sapiens depends on how well Capricornian controls them in the future. This is a world where Homo Sapiens control the universe."
Xiao Li asked curiously, "Do we count as Homo Sapiens?"
"What do you think?" Brother Te replied.
"At least we are not controlled by anyone," Xiao Li thought for a moment and said, "So we should count."
They continued to visit several other workshops. In the last workshop, they saw that the girl from earlier had been cloned again; she lay naked and quietly on the production line, awaiting transfer to the human quantum activation chamber for revival.
"These Clones are worse than animals; after being produced, they neither eat nor drink, have no thoughts, and obey their master's call. Their lives are so miserable. I feel they shouldn't have been created," Xiao Li couldn't help but feel pity and sighed.
Kairuot took over the conversation and said, "Don't pity them; this is a downside brought by high technology and necessary for Homo Sapiens to control the universe. The fundamental difference between Clones and humans is that they lack thought and soul."
