"We have detected via the Wristband navigation that someone has activated this device at the base, which proves that there are definitely others here," Kairuot said confidently. "Let's search carefully to see if we can make any new discoveries." 0

"I find it strange too. This base has been destroyed, so how is there still navigation?" Xiaoli said. 0

"The activation of the navigation indicates that someone is desperately trying to communicate with the outside world," Kairuot analyzed. "It marks the location of this base for the Martians on Earth, making it easy for us to find our way here." 0

The two searched each building one by one using the markers on the Wristband navigation map. Suddenly, they spotted two figures flash by in the Passage. Xiaoli called out warily, "Who’s there?" 0

Silence filled the room with no response. They quickly pursued but found nothing—not even a ghostly shadow. The figures they had seen vanished in an instant, and they concluded that the two must be hiding in a nearby room. To avoid alarming them, they decided that one would guard the Passage and keep an eye on the movements of other rooms while the other searched inside. Kairuot checked several rooms in succession but found nothing. 0

When Kairuot reached the last two rooms at the end of this Passage, Xiaoli was still guarding outside. As he stepped into a room with a half-open door, he was met with two beams of Laser Projectiles from within. Fortunately, he had anticipated this and managed to dodge, but half of the door was blown off. 0

While dodging, Kairuot retaliated with two Thunder Palms aimed at the sources of light. Although his strikes were only at three-tenths strength, they were enough to injure his opponents, leaving two Capricornian Soldiers unable to get up. 0

The injured soldiers looked up at Kairuot and Xiaoli in terror, wanting to resist but lacking the strength. Xiaoli demanded sternly, "Who sent you?" 0

The soldiers seemed as if their minds had been wiped clean; they would rather die than reveal their master's name. One soldier not only refused to answer but also desperately slammed his Wristband against the wall in an attempt to destroy it. 0

Kairuot immediately struck his pressure point and removed the Wristband from his wrist. Xiaoli did the same with the other soldier's Wristband. The moment they lost their Wristbands, both soldiers activated their self-destruct devices. Realizing the danger, Kairuot grabbed Xiaoli and ran outside just as two violent explosions rocked the area, collapsing the room they had just occupied. 0

Xiaoli exclaimed in fear, "What kind of people are these? They treat life so lightly." 0

Kairuot explained based on his knowledge, "These are soldiers made with cutting-edge technology. I saw information about them at my Great-Great-Grandfather's base in Earth's Core; they are a combination of robots and Clones. They possess the robust physique and agility of robots along with human cognitive abilities, but their every move is controlled by a monitoring center. They are among those Homo Sapiens trust most because they are absolutely loyal to their masters. We need to be cautious when encountering these soldiers in the future; they will never surrender and are a group of desperate individuals." 0

The two immediately searched for a Control Room. Although there were many devices inside, they were all destroyed, with only the surveillance recording equipment remaining intact. Kairuot quickly turned on the surveillance recording switch, and the footage displayed on the Screen Wall immediately caught their attention. 0

"It's Sister Laya," Xiaoli recognized Fairleya in the footage right away. "She was captured by the Capricornian." 0

The entire recording clearly showed that after Fairleya arrived at the Arctic Base, she walked into the Time Tunnel Control Room under the guidance of soldiers. Following instructions, she entered a disguised elevator that appeared to be a Time Tunnel. Then, this elevator transformed into a specially designed round Metal Ball. Once Fairleya entered, the entire sphere formed a complete seal, trapping her inside the Metal Ball, making it impossible for her to escape. The recording then showed how this Metal Ball containing Fairleya was transported onto a Capricornian warship, flying into the vastness of space. 0

Kairuot felt something was off about this recording; why was it that all the equipment was destroyed except for this footage? He wondered, "What is this recording trying to tell us? Is there some kind of conspiracy behind it?" 0

"The footage shows that Sister Laiya was captured by the Capricornian. This Metal Ball is very similar to the one you encountered in Chang'an; it must have been Belche who abducted Sister Laiya," Xiaoli expressed her opinion. "We need to hurry to Capricorn Planet to rescue Sister Laiya." 0

"This situation is becoming increasingly complicated," Kairuot analyzed. "Think about it; this recording is clearly placed here for us to see. It aims to lead us to Capricorn Planet, intentionally steering us off course. We can't let them manipulate us any longer; returning to Mars is the correct direction. Something must have happened on Mars. Our top priority is to find a Time Tunnel or wormhole entrance to Mars." 0

"The Arctic Base on Mars has already been destroyed; where are we supposed to find a Time Tunnel?" Xiaoli asked. 0

"This Wristband can tell us," Kairuot said as he picked up the confiscated Wristband and shook it. 0

He activated the switch on the Wristband, and navigation appeared on its display. He aimed the Wristband's beam at the wall of the hall, and a navigation map projected before them. The map displayed modern Capricorn Script, which Kairuot could recognize some of. He pointed at a red dot on the map and said, "Although this red dot isn't labeled, I'm sure it's an important base for the Capricornian." 0

Xiaoli agreed with Kairuot's assessment, saying, "From the navigation map, this red dot is hidden beneath the ice layers in deep sea under the Arctic. Without this navigation, we would never have discovered it." 0

Kairuot said, "Even though we can locate the Capricornian base using navigation, it's going to be difficult for just the two of us to break into their interior unarmed. We need sufficient weaponry." 0

"Where are we supposed to find weapons?" Xiaoli asked. "This base has already been destroyed by the Capricornian." 0

"We follow this path and search in every room." 0

The two walked along the dark passage of the base until they reached the end. At the end, they searched for a long time but could not find a switch to open the door at the end of the passage. Xiaoli, feeling anxious about the situation, said, "Stop looking. I think this might be the end of the base; there is no door at all." 0

Kairuot suddenly remembered that Fair Connie had once told him that if they reached a dead end in Mars Base and there was no way to go further, they could activate the emergency switch on their wristband. With a mindset of giving it a try, he activated a special switch on his wristband that he had never used before—the emergency switch. 0

As soon as the emergency switch was activated, a miracle happened: the heavy passage door opened. 0

"I can't believe that even though all the equipment in the base is damaged, this door can still be activated," Xiaoli exclaimed. 0

"This door should be an escape door; it is part of a separate system. Without special instructions, it cannot be opened." 0

Once they entered through the escape door, the lights inside automatically turned on with their presence, illuminating the entire passage as if it were daytime. The door they had just opened quickly closed behind them. 0
