This commotion naturally alarmed the entire palace, even Belche was disturbed. He put on his coat and sat in front of the surveillance screen, immediately recognizing a familiar figure—fate had brought them together again. Belche cursed, "Kairuot! You bastard! Don't think that just because you've changed your appearance, no one can recognize you. Even if you turned to ashes, I would still know you. How dare you come to my planet to seek death? I'll grant you that!"
Belche immediately placed Kairuot at the top of the terrorist list, ordering a global manhunt, and simultaneously issued a death command to Royal Guard Commander Bel IV: "You must eliminate the terrorists who have invaded the palace at all costs; they cannot escape. Otherwise, I will hold you accountable!"
Bel IV faithfully executed the king's orders. The soldiers poured out, using all their weapons as a brutal urban battle began in the palace.

This time, the Royal Guard deployed a mech squadron, sending heavy mechs into the air above the palace to participate in the urban combat. With heavy weapon support, the soldiers charged forward recklessly. When one soldier fell, another took their place; as soon as they spotted a target, they launched a saturated attack without distinction, forcing Kairuot and Xiaoli to keep moving from one spot to another.
The mechs in the sky were even more rampant; upon spotting a target, they disregarded the exquisite architecture of the palace and its inhabitants, unleashing machine gun fire, shells, and missiles together. They blasted numerous holes into the palace hall's structure. Fortunately, the materials of these buildings were still sturdy enough to prevent large-scale collapses; only a few side halls were completely destroyed due to intense crossfire, turning them into frontline battlefields and inevitably involving innocent people. Many were buried under the wreckage of these destroyed side halls. Kairuot knew that these guys hated him to the bone and wanted nothing more than to kill him; he could no longer care about his fellow countrymen...
The encirclement continued as personnel from the palace poured out. It was indeed not easy for Kairuot and Xiaoli to shake off their attackers.
Heavy mechs filled both the sky and ground; without special weapons, it was impossible to destroy them. The heavy Laser Cannons in Kairuot and Xiaoli's hands could at most only scratch their surface. As for the soldiers on the ground, they were easier to deal with but there were simply too many of them; after finishing one wave, another wave came as if it would never end. The two could only fight while fleeing, taking it step by step. They ran toward the area with the densest buildings in hopes that the structures would provide some cover to slow down the Royal Guard's attack speed.
From deep night until dawn, fighting in the palace never ceased; gunfire echoed throughout an entire night.

By dawn, Belche, who had been waiting for news in his command room without receiving what he wanted, could no longer sit still and personally piloted a mech to oversee operations.
Seeing that even heavy mechs couldn't handle these two intruders, Belche, in anger, ordered the activation of Capricorn Planet's Electromagnetic Cannon. The massive Electromagnetic Cannon slowly emerged from underground, its barrel aimed at the direction where Kairuot and Xiaoli were fleeing... The Capricorn Soldiers were all stunned! They certainly knew how powerful this Electromagnetic Cannon was—one shot would almost obliterate a large area of buildings. It seemed that the king was determined not to rest until he blew them up!
At this moment, the two intruders had been cornered against one side of a tall tower building with no way out. Looking at the towering structure built towards the sky, they were contemplating how to enter it temporarily to evade this round of attacks when suddenly a section of wall transformed into a door—a shadow flickered by as if beckoning them inside. Without thinking twice, they dashed in just as the wall door quickly closed behind them.
Not long after the wall door closed, the sound of the Electromagnetic Cannon reverberated through the sky with a tremendous blast that felt like an earthquake, making everyone on Capricorn Planet think that interplanetary war had begun again... They hadn't heard such cannon fire in quite some time.
The immense power of the Electromagnetic Cannon flattened almost all buildings in its path except for that tall tower... If it hadn't been for that specially constructed metal tower, it's likely that Kairuot and Xiaoli would have perished. After calm returned, soldiers from the Royal Guard raised their weapons and cheered joyously to celebrate their victory.
The soldiers of Capricorn Planet immediately began searching the ruins for corpses to confirm, and Belche personally went to the scene of the intruder's death. He calmly asked Commander Bel IV, who was beside him, "Are you sure they didn't escape from here?"
"I am sure," Commander replied. "Our mechs have been monitoring them from the air, and there are surveillance cameras around the buildings. Aside from the Divine Tower, which is completely sealed and inaccessible, they would be detected as soon as they moved in any other area. Heavy troops are stationed everywhere; they cannot escape."
Belche continued to ask, "Have you found their bodies?"
Commander answered, "This place has been leveled. It will take time to search for their bodies in this wasteland."
Belche impatiently said, "Don't give me excuses. I give you three days to find out."
"Understood!" The Captain of the Royal Guard saluted and replied readily.
"Also," Belche said in a commanding tone, "I want you to replenish the soldiers lost last night within half a month. For those who died with ranks of National Guard captain or above, fill their positions within three days." Seeing Commander Bel IV's somewhat troubled expression, he emphasized, "Don't negotiate with me on costs. You go talk to your brother; if you fail to complete the task—I'll remove him from his position!"
"Understood." Bel IV nodded without daring to breathe a word.
Commander Bel IV watched the king's departing figure and sighed, "Alas, our losses are too great in order to eliminate these two intruders. The palace's long-standing structures have been destroyed, and many innocents have died tragically. My National Guard suffered the most, nearly losing half of its strength. Was it worth it...?"

Kairuot and Xiaoli managed to hide in the worship tower with the help of a masked soldier, escaping the onslaught of the Electromagnetic Cannon. Afterward, that soldier skillfully led them through a hidden passage within the tower. After turning several corners, they arrived at a fork in the road. The soldier pointed to the left path and said, "I can only take you this far. I must leave now; I've already delayed too long." He then handed them two finger sleeves and two Wristbands. "Don't use your little box anymore; you've already been exposed. This is new access gear and your identification rings, valid across the entire planet."
Kairuot asked, "Why are you helping us?"
The soldier did not answer but simply smiled and waved goodbye before walking down the right path.

Following what the soldier said, they rushed down the left path. When they reached a dead end, they pointed their finger sleeves at the door button, and it opened automatically.
After walking for a long distance, they felt that the soldier wouldn't deceive them but were unsure where they were heading. Finally arriving at another passage's end where no buttons were visible anymore, Xiaoli, who had been harboring doubts all along, said, "Could we have been tricked?"
Kairuot did not respond. He pointed to a dot in the lace totem above their heads. Suddenly, a door opened above them, and a ladder slowly descended. They climbed up the ladder and found themselves in an armory.
This was an isolated armory, neatly arranged with countless closed small storage units, containing all kinds of weapons. Kairuot finally understood why the soldier had led them here. He said to Xiaoli, "He brought us here so we could find weapons to deal with those guys outside."
Xiaoli replied, "But they have heavy weapons; we can only use mechs against them."
"Not necessarily," Kairuot said confidently. "Otherwise, he wouldn't have brought us here to choose weapons. Let's look carefully."

The two first found Special Forces uniforms. They unceremoniously put on the sizes that fit them and donned helmets, looking just like Capricornian Special Forces. Then they began searching for the weapons they needed. However, all they found were old weapons that were not very powerful and inconvenient to operate. After searching for a long time, they couldn't find anything they liked.
At this point, Kairuot felt puzzled and muttered to himself, "Could this be an abandoned warehouse? Otherwise, it wouldn't be left unattended with the door unlocked."
Xiaoli also wondered, "This must be an abandoned warehouse; you can tell from the weapons inside."
Kairuot said, "Whatever it is, having something is better than nothing. Let's keep looking."
Unknowingly, they searched for over an hour but still found nothing.
Eventually, Xiaoli had no choice but to pick several Missiles from storage unit fd-25 and strap them around her waist. Kairuot also retrieved two small High-Energy Nuclear Bomb Timers from storage unit hd-17 and tucked them into his pocket. While these weapons might work against indoor equipment, they would be ineffective against the large heavy mechs of the Capricornian. They would only be useful if detonated close to critical parts of the mechs. Kairuot rubbed his forehead and thought: [I still need to find a weapon that would make Belche think twice before acting recklessly against them.]
