Belche's Escape Technique was indeed well-prepared; he had already mapped out his escape route. They had stationed snipers in the hidden passages, and traps along with Nuclear Bombs were set up in various locations, injuring the pursuing Special Forces Members and deterring them from acting recklessly. Moreover, the hidden passages were intricate and complex, making it impossible for them to catch up.
Seeing this situation, Kairuot ordered a halt to the pursuit and instructed his team to return.
After Belche and Feilbolai shook off their pursuers, they followed the hidden passage to a military camp on the outskirts of Fair City. This camp was guarded by soldiers from the Capricorn Mother Ship. Upon seeing Belche hurriedly emerge from the passage, the commander rushed forward to salute, saying, "Report to the King, the troops are ready for your orders!"
Belche quickly commanded the commander, "Immediately activate the Command Ship and head towards Elysion Base."
Military Vehicles transported Belche and Feilbolai to the side of the Command Ship. As Belche boarded the Command Ship, his anxious heart finally calmed down. He looked at the dejected Feilbolai and said, "Is this all you amount to? A little setback and you've lost your fighting spirit. We must take down the Mars United Government before Mars Base arrives and vent our frustrations, showing them who’s in charge."
Feilbolai's mind was under Belche's control; he couldn't discern whether Belche's words were right or wrong. He merely nodded in agreement, saying, "Yes, yes! Let's show them who's boss..."
As dawn broke, the Command Ship surged into the sky under the cover of numerous mechs, heading straight for Elysion Base. Although the Martian air defense forces detected them in time and launched Missiles, Laser Cannons, and Electromagnetic Cannons at the Capricornians' mechs in mid-air, they were unable to retaliate effectively. At the cost of losing several mechs, Belche's Command Ship finally broke free from the Martians' encirclement and flew towards Elysion Base for landing.
After Kairuot occupied Fair Capital, Fair City was peacefully liberated—a day worth commemorating for the Martians. The Mars United Government made another step towards global unification. The Mars United Government's military expanded further as all troops from Fair City were incorporated into the Seventh Army Group of the Mars United Government.
For Fair Connie, it was most fortunate that Falkon Xiong was sent to Fair Hospital; after receiving a new heart and replacing his damaged organs in the Human Quantum Machine, he revived. She saw her brother Falkon Xiong lying on a hospital bed in Fair Hospital's Recovery Pod and tears streamed down her face. "Brother, you know what kind of person Belche is—ruthless. Our Father was blown to pieces by him; we still haven't found Father's soul."
"Sister, I'm fine now," her brother comforted her instead. "If I don't step up, no one will; if this continues, our Fair Tribe will be finished."
She told him, "Now that Fair City has been peacefully liberated, it's all thanks to Fei Er Kang Lai and his son for their tremendous support."
At this moment, Fei Er Connie's assistant hurriedly rushed over to report, "Report, Chairman! The Capricorn Mother Ship has launched a large number of mechas, and they are heading towards Mars."
Fair Connie quickly bid farewell to her brother and rushed to the Command Ship.
Just then, Kairuot was also at the command control panel. Fei Er Connie asked him, "What do you think about the current situation? With so many mechas, what exactly are they planning to attack?"
"Don't think too much," Kairuot pointed to the map on the screen showing the Mars United Government's Command Center and said, "They are heading towards the Command Center of the Mars United Government."
"You share my judgment; they want to create a diversion. Right now, their forces at Elysion Base are limited, and they need to strike decisively at the core area. Belche probably thinks that the Fair Tribe's troops are unreliable."
Kairuot said, "I've thought it through. We should deploy all mechas from the First, Second, and Third Combined Arms Groups to engage them in space combat. At the same time, we will send two Combined Arms Group mobile air defense units to strengthen the air defense of the United Government's Command Center. The other Combined Arms Groups will continue advancing towards Elysium Planitia, where we will decisively confront Feilbolai and Belche's forces with overwhelming superiority."
Fei Er Connie added, "If our Mobile Base happens to return in time, then the Capricorn Mother Ship won't be able to attend to its forces on Mars, and liberating the Fair Tribe will be within reach. I find your plan feasible; I will take it to the operations department for further study and implement it immediately."
Not long after, a large number of mechas appeared on Mars heading into space, where they engaged in a fierce space battle near Mars Planet. Thousands of mechas tangled in combat in space, putting immense pressure on the commander of the Capricorn Mother Ship. He had never anticipated that after unifying Mars, so many mechas could be concentrated; their mechas were outnumbered three to one and were at a disadvantage. Moreover, the Martian mechas were not inferior to theirs. By the time he wanted to call back his mechas to the Mother Ship, it was already too late; there was no time for the Mother Ship to rush for support. They had no choice but to press on. The outcome of the air battle was predictable; nearly all of the Capricornians' mechas were annihilated, with only a few managing to escape back to the Mother Ship.
After learning that the mechas sent to bombard the Command Center were surrounded and annihilated, Belche angrily berated his commander for incompetence. He did not inform Feilbolai of this bad news but instead demanded that Feilbolai mobilize all available mechas for a confrontation with the Mars United Government.
Feilbolai ordered all units' mechas to reinforce Capricornian forces. The balance of power shifted dramatically as thousands of Fair Tribe mechas made a desperate gamble against the United Government.
Seeing that a large number of Fair Tribe mechas had joined the battle, Fair Connie immediately ordered her participating forces to withdraw and observe developments. This allowed Belche to save some face as he safely returned to the Capricorn Mother Ship. While commanding a counterattack from the Mother Ship, he was met with timely reinforcements from Mars Mobile Base. Realizing victory was impossible, Belche ordered his forces to abandon Fair Tribe and leave Mars without informing Feilbolai, sneaking away with the Capricorn Mother Ship far from danger.
Without the support of the Capricorn Mother Ship, the Fair Tribe would not stand a chance against the United Government forces. However, Feilbolai was too proud to surrender. Faced with the powerful United Government, he still wanted to hold on. He thought: "Currently, we have over three thousand mechs, eight hundred thousand troops, a strong defense network, and the rich resources of Elysian Plains as our backing. It won't be easy for the United Government to defeat us!"
He called upon all his people through the media: "We will never give up an inch of our land! We will defend the Fair Tribe with our blood and drive the invaders out of our homeland!"
However, since the departure of the Capricornian, the United Government had not launched any offensives. Instead, they relied on extensive media campaigns to promote the idea of the Fair Tribe joining the Mars United Government and achieving unity among the Mars Ethnicity, which had shown significant results.
