On the eighth floor of a street-facing building on a commercial avenue, Bai Yujing saw his own company for the first time. He didn't expect that in such a short time, Wang Yi had already made it look quite impressive.
The reception wall of the company featured a logo in the shape of a hunter, simplified into an easy graphic of a half-body figure with a backpack, modeled after Bai Yujing's image. Behind it were the English letters spelling "hunter," which means "hunter." Although it was still in its early stages, it had taken on a somewhat formal appearance, giving everyone who joined the company a sense of confidence.
Currently, the company had only fifteen employees, including Wang Yi and Haiyang. Most of them were under thirty years old, looking vibrant and full of energy. Young people worked quickly and had many ideas; their only drawback was their instability—whenever they had a new thought, they would often resign immediately. The older employees tended to be more seasoned but could easily fall into a routine of just going through the motions. For this reason, Bai Yujing and Wang Yi preferred to hire younger individuals.
"Hello, boss!"
Under Wang Yi's introduction, Bai Yujing greeted everyone and got to know them. The number of men and women was about equal, and the office had excellent lighting with large windows that had no obstructions outside.

A few customer service girls surrounded Bai Yujing, creating a lively atmosphere in the office. Bai Yujing didn't act aloof; however, since he still had important matters to discuss with Wang Yi and Haiyang, he only chatted briefly before Wang Yi called out loudly, "Alright, everyone back to your posts!"
Wang Yi had a separate office on another side, all enclosed in transparent glass so that one could see inside from outside. Haiyang's office was similar. Bai Yujing took a look inside Haiyang's office, which was equipped with an easel and drawing board. There was also a sewing machine and plenty of fabric scraps scattered on the floor.
Bai Yujing noticed several completed sports T-shirts and outdoor jackets. After inspecting them, he remarked, "Haiyang, did you design all of these?"
Bai Yujing was pleasantly surprised; he hadn't expected this old classmate to have such talent. Haiyang nodded and explained her design concepts to Bai Yujing, discussing materials and functionality—from pattern design to overall framework—while Bai Yujing happily listened.
Once Haiyang finished speaking, Wang Yi shared some updates about the company's current status. "So work has been progressing smoothly; we should be able to start official operations next month. Our main products right now are outdoor jackets, multifunctional pants, T-shirts, shirts, and backpacks. A few designs are already in production with factories. By then, Old Bai, you'll need to model for us!"
Bai Yujing pointed at himself: "Me? Model? Is that okay? I've never trained for this!"
Haiyang immediately chimed in: "There's no special skill required! But Old Bai, you seem to have changed after your trip; you look much more handsome! At this rate, not only could you model but you could also be a heartthrob!"
Bai Yujing replied quickly: "I've been exercising every day lately—running around outside has really improved my physical condition and mindset; maybe that's why I look different!"
"Look at your physique!" Haiyang walked around Bai Yujing in her high heels and suddenly touched his chest from behind, startling him.
"Hey! What are you doing?"
The Ocean immediately said, "Don't move!"
The Ocean took a ruler and measured Bai Yujing's body data: "Your proportions are amazing, you look like a clothes hanger. Not bad, your abdomen has muscle definition, and your pectorals feel great!"
The Ocean is a typical female rogue; she was like this in school, and now that she's in society, her words are so flowery that men can't resist. She was getting handsy with Bai Yujing, who turned bright red.
"Alright, alright, Ocean, have some mercy!" Bai Yujing quickly stopped the Ocean's actions. It was obvious that she was trying to take advantage of the situation under the guise of measuring Bai Yujing's dimensions. After two weeks of shaping, Bai Yujing's physique had started to stabilize. When she looked in the mirror, she could hardly recognize herself.
Wang Yi also looked at Bai Yujing: "I noticed Old Bai seems to have grown taller. Could it be a second growth spurt? Next time I have some free time, I should go travel too. Sitting in the office all day is going to waste me! But I still have work to do; I don't spend much time actually sitting in the office. Most of my time is spent out and about, which I quite enjoy!"
Bai Yujing replied, "Indeed, you should take some time to get out there, Wang Yi!"
"Where would I find the time? Let's wait until the company is on track!" Wang Yi waved his hand.
Bai Yujing pondered for a moment: "How about this? At the end of the year, we can organize a company trip. I'll cover the expenses for a luxurious trip to Sanya. This time when I went to Guangxi, I wanted to enjoy the beach and sunbathing but unfortunately didn't get to!"
The Ocean immediately shouted: "Old Bai, that's great! Well done!"
Wang Yi nodded: "Alright, by then we should be on track. Consider it your year-end bonus for everyone."
The Ocean continued: "I discussed with Wang Yi that the first floor downstairs used to sell shoes and bags but is planning to close down. I checked it out; it's about two hundred square meters. I want to take it over and turn it into a brand experience store. What do you think?"
Bai Yujing nodded: "I leave business matters to Wang Yi; he can make decisions on those. However, let me share my opinion: I think it's a fantastic idea, and you can take bigger steps."
Having one hundred million in cash on hand feels foolish just letting it sit in the bank collecting dust. As for luxury goods and fancy cars, Bai Yujing felt that was enough; there was no need to pursue them too much. Investing it now seemed like the best decision.
Wang Yi immediately asked: "Take bigger steps? What are you planning?"
Bai Yujing replied: "You can start planning for the brand experience store. Once it's officially operational, you can try opening several more locations. Decide where they should be located, who will be the store manager and staff needed, as well as the decoration style. You need to prepare a report for me; I'll handle the finances—don't worry about that; I happen to have some funds available."
With finances taken care of, Wang Yi quickly said: "Then there shouldn't be any problems. I've already discussed this with Ocean; she knows some talented people in this area who will start working here in a couple of days. We can assign her to oversee this part of the store's operations."
"That's perfect, I can get to know them then!"
After that, Bai Yujing said to Haiyang, "Currently, we also need a design department. I see that all the design work is being done by you alone, which must be overwhelming. Do you know anyone who could help, or should we start recruiting? Let's quickly establish the department structure, and you will be in charge."
During the conversation with Bai Yujing and Haiyang, Bai Yujing realized that although this period was short, not only had he undergone significant changes, but they had also experienced a dramatic transformation, like butterflies emerging from cocoons.
A person's position and experiences can lead to a complete transformation in their mindset, courage, and abilities. While one may not notice these changes in themselves, outsiders can clearly see the difference. For instance, Bai Yujing found it hard to imagine Wang Yi confidently discussing his future plans and ideas as he did before.
The company wasn't large, but there were many things that had been built from scratch. Bai Yujing was able to manage the entire company efficiently on his own, whereas before, he was just a low-level employee in the design department.
Bai Yujing's visit to the company didn't involve much action; he simply assessed the situation and discussed future plans. However, both Wang Yi and Haiyang felt invigorated and filled with hope for the future. They were confident that even though Bai Yujing didn't micromanage and allowed them freedom in their roles, he remained the backbone of the company. Without his presence, many decisions would have been difficult for Wang Yi and Haiyang to make.
Bai Yujing felt much more relaxed after his visit. How should he put it? It exceeded his expectations; both Wang Yi and Haiyang performed exceptionally well, which pleased him greatly and reassured him about future investments.
Just as he hit the road, a phone call came in. Bai Yujing pressed his Bluetooth headset and said, "Hello, who is this?"
"Xiao Bai, it's Xu Keke!" Upon hearing that distinctive voice, Bai Yujing immediately recognized who it was.
Bai Yujing had been quite annoyed by Xu Keke over the past few days. "Hey, you're not calling to rush me for the manuscript again, are you? Didn't we agree I'd get it to you by the end of the month? It's almost done!"
Xu Keke immediately replied mysteriously, "No, do you have time to come by the publishing house?"
