The enormous Golden Body Guanyin statue loomed ahead, surrounded by a mass of dry bones. At the forefront, a figure dressed in a white monk's robe, with a headscarf covering her head, sat cross-legged beneath the Avalokiteshvara Lotus Platform, seemingly a devoted disciple listening intently.
The Nun wore a gentle smile, as if immersed in profound Buddhist teachings. Her expression held a hint of mystery and prayer, her features vivid and her skin as fair as that of a young child. Even with her eyes closed, she exuded an air of noble elegance.
The Zen atmosphere here was deep and far-reaching, forming a stark contrast to the greed-driven chaos in front of the main hall. The two sides had been completely overwhelmed by the Golden Buddha, losing their rationality and only thinking about eliminating each other to monopolize the Golden Buddha.
The Golden Body Guanyin appeared to be bound with ropes. It seemed that Tong Wei and his group had already been devising ways to transport this Giant Buddha. However, what concerned Bai Yujing more was something atop the Guanyin statue.
Atop Guanyin's head was a celestial crown, similar to those often seen on Bodhisattvas, adorned with a piece of white gauze. In the center of the crown was embedded a natural-colored bead, which bore a vertical indentation in its center, resembling an eye.
This was precisely what Bai Yujing sought regarding the Center. After clearly seeing it, Bai Yujing immediately took two steps back and jumped through the window, beginning to climb up along the outer ledge.
"Old Bai, what are you trying to do?" Li Hao quickly noticed Bai Yujing's actions.
Bai Yujing climbed and jumped like a monkey through the gap between the window and the wood: "You all wait for me down there. I'll go in first. If needed, you can cover me from outside!"
The hall featured a spiral passage along the wall leading directly to the top. Tong Wei's group had used this passage to ignite the oil lamps above. At that moment, they were continuously chasing each other through this spiral passage, with sounds of fighting and gunfire intertwining.
Bai Yujing climbed up to a skylight and looked down; two individuals were locked in a fierce struggle right below him. Quietly entering through the window, he jumped down and kicked one of them in the back, causing both to tumble down the slope with a scream.
Bai Yujing leaned over the railing at the top of the hall, where he could see everything below. It appeared both sides had suffered heavy losses and were unable to gain an upper hand over each other. The leaders from both sides began to step forward to negotiate.
On one side was Yuki Keisuke from the Yoshiwara Society, while on Tong Wei's side stood a plump man dressed in formal attire who appeared courteous and wore trendy glasses. Bai Yujing recognized him; he had seen this man leading Tong Wei's group when they pretended to be delivery personnel in Tokyo's Nerima Ward.
"Mr. Yuki, I wonder if you still remember me?" The plump man spoke this sentence in fluent Japanese, suggesting that both sides seemed to be old acquaintances.
Yuki Keisuke gritted his teeth and said, "Of course I remember, Shuyu. Two years ago, it was your thieves who caused our family significant losses. At that time, there were quite a few traitors among us who were bribed by you. However, I have to thank you; if it weren't for you, the old man wouldn't have retired so quickly and handed the president's position over to me!"
"Not long ago, a traitor named Amiya Jiro was taken care of by you, right? Indeed, even if we hadn't found him internally, traitors never have a good ending!"
It seemed that there were still many grudges between the two sides. When Bai Yujing heard the name Amiya Jiro, she immediately felt uneasy and heard Li Hao's voice outside: "Meili-chan, don't go in!"
Li Hao's voice and the commotion at the door immediately drew both sides' attention. They saw a girl in a long dress rush in with a gun, and instantly all the guns were aimed at Amiya Miri.
"My God!" Bai Yujing didn't know what to do!
Amiya Miri pointed her gun at the chubby Shuyu, her hands trembling slightly: "You killed my father?"
Shuyu was stunned for a moment but quickly reacted: "You mean Amiya Jiro? So you're his daughter. How did you end up here...?"
The chubby man glanced at Li Hao, who rushed in behind Amiya Miri with a gun to protect her, and instantly understood without voicing his next question.
"That's right, I am Amiya Jiro's daughter. Did you really kill my father?" Tears streamed down Amiya Miri's face as she struggled to hold the gun steady, looking like she posed no threat at all.
Shuyu nodded: "I have to say it was an accident. We had a little business with your father and ended up killing someone in the process. Your father couldn't accept it and secretly prepared to call the police. You know how we..."
"So you killed him?" Amiya Miri shouted.
Bang! Yuki Keisuke fired a shot into the air and immediately expressed his dissatisfaction: "Alright, let's not dwell on these small matters anymore. Shuyu, kill them; we need to continue our negotiations."
Zhou You immediately exchanged glances, and a seventeen or eighteen-year-old boy rushed forward, snatching Amiya Miri's gun and aiming it at Li Hao. The other two quickly closed the main hall's doors, leaving the two with no way to escape.
"Yah!" Just as this crisis unfolded, a shout echoed from above, and suddenly a figure swooped down like a monkey, holding onto a rope that was tied to the top of the hall. Swinging like on a swing, the figure floated down onto Bodhisattva Golden Body.
"Bai Yujing?" Yuki Keisuke immediately recognized the figure and pulled out his gun to shoot at Bai Yujing. At that moment, Bai Yujing had already drawn out what looked like an eye-shaped crystal from the crown atop Bodhisattva Golden Body.
The crystal was a translucent water blue with a droplet-shaped indentation in the center, perfectly matching the droplet gem on the pendant. Bai Yujing's action crossed two factions' taboos in an instant. Zhou You, the hefty figure, also opened fire with his submachine gun. Bai Yujing felt the thudding sounds hitting Golden Buddha, causing it to sway continuously. The Golden Buddha, which was already being pulled by the rope and nearly tipping over, became even more unstable.
"Fire! We absolutely cannot let him take that thing!" Both sides quickly reached a consensus and concentrated their fire on Bai Yujing. Although Golden Buddha was important, both sides understood even better what the crystal represented.
One bullet even grazed past Bai Yujing's forehead, singeing some hair on his temple. Startled, Bai Yujing quickly yanked on the rope, causing a two-meter-high furnace to drop from above. Being pulled up along with it, Bai Yujing swiftly climbed up and jumped onto the top beam.
The furnace, originally placed at the top to hold oil, was incredibly heavy. When it crashed to the ground, dust erupted everywhere as it rolled around, causing both groups to scatter in panic. Oil spilled everywhere and ignited instantly, creating a massive fire.
Taking advantage of the chaotic scene, Li Hao grabbed Amiya Miri and ran upwards, wanting to join Bai Yujing. At that moment, perhaps due to their earlier concentrated fire on Bai Yujing, the Giant Buddha suddenly toppled over, breaking free from its ropes and crashing heavily to the ground.
The scene became extremely chaotic; amidst the confusion of who fired first, the previously tense atmosphere collapsed entirely as both sides resumed shooting at each other.
"Cease fire!"

The leaders of both sides shouted simultaneously; however, amidst swirling dust and roaring flames, it took a long time for anyone to regain control of the situation.
Bai Yujing saw Li Hao and Amiya Miri running over and asked, "What’s going on? Why are you two here? Do you know how dangerous it was just now?"
Amiya Miri looked ashamed; if it weren't for Bai Yujing, they would have been in serious trouble. Li Hao also felt a bit embarrassed. Bai Yujing said irritably, "Forget it. I’ve prepared the rope outside. You two get ready to go down from that side and hurry up and leave here. I have a bad feeling about this!"
"What do you mean by a bad feeling?" Li Hao asked.
Bai Yujing looked around. "Don’t you think this place looks a lot like somewhere we’ve seen before?"
Li Hao was confused. "Where?"
"The Well Water Palace in Shuiyuan Village. I can tell from up here that the terrain is just like a naturally formed Well Water Palace. The only thing I don’t understand is why we can't see the Sea Eye leading to the ocean!"
As soon as Bai Yujing finished speaking, the entire Temple building began to shake, as if part of it had collapsed in an instant. The noise was so loud that the chaotic scene below suddenly fell silent.

Yuki Keisuke and Zhou You also sensed something was wrong. "This place isn’t right; everyone hurry up and get out!"
However, they had just secured the main door of the hall, making it troublesome to exit now. Bai Yujing looked down and said, "I finally know where the Sea Eye is!"
