The carousel swayed up and down with the rise and fall of the music. Most of the people here were parents with children or young couples. Lin Ruoqiao sat atop a black steed, her face already marked with annoyance.
"You brought me to the amusement park just to ride this?" Lin Ruoqiao glanced at the towering carousel ahead. "If it's going to be something so lame, we might as well ride that!"
Bai Yujing followed behind her. "Don't you think this is safe?"
"Safe my foot! I'm going to play something else!"
After Li Hao's father's birthday banquet ended, Bai Yujing stayed here for a few days, visiting Tiananmen, the Summer Palace, Badaling Great Wall, and so on. Lin Ruoqiao was supposed to head back long ago, but this guy stubbornly refused to leave and dragged it out for several days. Li Hao had no choice but to call Lin Ruoqiao's dad, who firmly insisted on sending her off today.
During these days, Lin Ruoqiao had been plotting revenge against Bai Yujing—using all sorts of tactics like frontal assaults, sneak attacks, drugging, spying, and stealing. She tried everything she could think of, but Bai Yujing was well-prepared. With his superior strength and gradually improving skills, Lin Ruoqiao ended up losing completely and was left in a miserable state, having lost her temper entirely.
At that moment, Li Hao came over with three ice creams. He looked around but only found Bai Yujing. "Where is she? I went to buy ice cream and she just ran off!"
Bai Yujing took a bite of one ice cream. "Forget about her; she'll come back once she's tired from playing later. I've taken a big hit these past few days by attracting this little troublemaker's firepower; I won't be responsible for what happens next!"
Li Hao leaned against the railing. "Are you preparing to go to London?"
"Yeah, I'm leaving the day after tomorrow, but I have to leave Beijing today because there are other preparations to make. What about you? Are you planning to continue studying here?" Bai Yujing asked.
Li Hao shook his head. "No, I'm going back with Lin Ruoqiao today. I'm in charge of the projects in Qinzhou, so I probably won't have any free time for a while and will have to apply for a leave of absence!"
Bai Yujing nodded. "That's fine; just put some effort into the resort project. I've invested heavily in it; if it fails, I'll hold you responsible!"
Just as Bai Yujing finished speaking, she caught sight of someone familiar out of the corner of her eye. She immediately turned her head and saw a guy in a black leather jacket—Hu Ying? What was he doing here?
Bai Yujing said to Li Hao, "I’ll be right back; I see someone I know!"
"Alright, I'll go find Lin Ruoqiao. Let's meet at the restaurant near the main entrance later!" Li Hao stood up and turned to leave.
Bai Yujing approached Hu Ying from behind. When he got close, Hu Ying, highly alert, turned his head to look back and realized it was Bai Yujing. His expression immediately relaxed. "Bai Yujing, what brings you to the capital?"
"I'm here to attend a friend's father's birthday party. Hu Ge, what are you doing in the capital?" Bai Yujing glanced at the little boy Hu Ying was holding; this must be Hu Ying's son!
"Oh! He's Li Baolin's son. It caused quite a stir a few days ago and even made the news. My home is nearby, but I’ve been busy with work all year round. Finally, I managed to come home and took my son out to have some fun!" Hu Ying patted his son's shoulder. "This is my son Lele. Lele, say hello to Uncle Bai!"
"Hello, Uncle Bai!"
Bai Yujing immediately smiled. "At my age, calling me your son's uncle seems a bit forced; you should call me brother instead!"
"Then that would change our generation!"
"Let's stick with Uncle then!"
"Lele, why don't you go play inside? I need to talk to your Uncle Bai about some things!" Hu Ying pushed his son toward a nearby children's play castle and then turned to Bai Yujing.
Bai Yujing immediately understood that Hu Ying had something serious to discuss with him. This meeting seemed coincidental but was likely planned. Sure enough, Hu Ying led Bai Yujing into a small alley and handed him a cigarette. Although Bai Yujing usually didn't smoke much, he accepted it.
"I heard your family is in trouble again?" Hu Ying lit the cigarette and asked.
Bai Yujing nodded. "It’s probably related to Atlantis again. They packed up everything from my study; I can guess their intentions without thinking!"
Hu Ying nodded knowingly. "This might be connected to what happened recently."
"What happened?" After taking a puff of the cigarette and exhaling, Bai Yujing was curious about how this related to his family's burglary.
Hu Ying continued, "You might not be aware, but the confidentiality level of your situation is very high, and the higher-ups are paying close attention. I was under a lot of pressure before, and your progress here has helped me resolve quite a few issues. I owe you my thanks for that!"
"You're welcome; you've helped me out a lot too, or else things wouldn't have gone so smoothly!" Bai Yujing expressed his gratitude towards Hu Ying appropriately.
"Let me finish speaking first. This related incident has been filed and is referred to as the 132 Incident. The main person responsible is me. Recently, we encountered some internal issues, which led to the complete leak of information regarding the entire 132 Incident. That's why you have come into the public eye and become the most vulnerable point of breakthrough!"
Bai Yujing immediately widened his mouth in shock. "So you're saying that the one who broke into my house to steal data wasn't a thief, but a spy? An agent?"
"You guessed correctly. However, our preliminary judgment indicates that it should be related to the United States. They already have a small team inside our territory, and we are currently investigating, but there are no results yet! I must say, your previous decision was quite clear; you gave up on continuing the investigation, and the Center is no longer in your hands. Otherwise, I estimate you might be in big trouble right now!" Hu Ying said with a faint smile, while Bai Yujing felt a chill run down his spine.
Bai Yujing took a deep drag from his cigarette, feeling somewhat apprehensive. "I had a feeling something was off; thankfully, thankfully!"
"Have there been any new developments on your side regarding the whereabouts of Atlantis? Is it related to the image projected by the Center?" Bai Yujing suddenly remembered something and asked Hu Ying. Although he had given up on further investigation, his curiosity could not be suppressed.
Hu Ying looked deeply at Bai Yujing. "This is highly classified information. Although you are an informed person, there are some things you are better off not knowing!"
"Understood, understood!" Bai Yujing glanced at Hu Ying. "I think it's quite dangerous to be in contact with you; I should keep my distance!"

In the afternoon, Bai Yujing's flight was scheduled earlier, so he boarded the plane and left Beijing first. Meanwhile, Li Hao dragged Lin Ruoqiao onto their journey back to GX. Bai Yujing would prepare at home before embarking on his second trip to London.
This time, since he didn't know how long he would stay and for convenience in future travels, Bai Yujing applied for a long-term multiple-entry business visa valid for four years. As long as he did not stay in the UK for more than six months each year, it would be quite convenient.
