Bai Yujing used a rather disrespectful method towards the guardian deity, tying a stone with a rope and throwing it upwards. After it got entangled on top of the statue, Bai Yujing tested its firmness before slowly beginning to climb up.
Standing at the top of the stone pillar, Bai Yujing finally retrieved the golden plate they desired from the statue's mouth. Everything went so smoothly that Bai Yujing found it hard to believe. This was Bai Yujing's most seamless exploration journey; previous attempts had been fraught with multiple difficulties, layers of clues, and even with a golden finger, they had stumbled around to find their target.
Holding the Healing Spring Gold Plate in hand and perched high above, as the sun began to set, Bai Yujing sat at the base of the stone pillar. It was then that Bai Yujing noticed that the statue's face was also directed towards the sun, as if it were watching the sunset.
From this elevated position, watching the sun sink into the earth, the angle of the setting sun perfectly aligned with that of the statue. The afterglow of dusk cast a warm light over the land, as if the entire world was changing color. The twilight scene always carried a hint of melancholy, evoking deep feelings.
After gazing for a while, Bai Yujing lowered their head and prepared to descend along the rope but discovered another surprising sight. Bai Yujing realized that the entire layout of Stonehenge was arranged according to the Healing Spring Gold Plate. The complete circle corresponded to the shape of the golden plate, and within it were symbols representing healing meanings found inside the plate. It turned out to be like this.
Deciding to spend the night here, Bai Yujing planned to return early tomorrow morning. They had already stayed in this forest for two days, and Emma and the others would likely be worried about them.
That night, leaning against the pillar, Bai Yujing had a dream. In this dream, they stood on a hillside under the sunset, where green grass swayed gently. A beautiful woman with black hair adorned with a flower crown stood by a lake in pure white gauze clothing, her delicate white feet submerged in the water.
The woman's ears were pointed, resembling those of a legendary elf. She stepped into the lake, and as she did so, all the water began to move with her, gradually converging towards the center of the lake as she walked deeper.
Bai Yujing immediately ran towards the lake's edge and shouted, "Don't!"
However, it seemed as if the woman did not hear at all and continued walking into the water. As it rose gradually to her waist, Bai Yujing grew anxious.
"She can't hear you!" At that moment, another voice echoed in Bai Yujing's ear.
Turning around, Bai Yujing saw a winged White Cat perched on a stone by the lake looking at them. Its eyes sparkled like black gemstones, radiating mysterious light akin to stars twinkling in a night sky.
"This is her lake; she is going to migrate with her lake!" White Cat informed Bai Yujing.
Bai Yujing was puzzled: "Her lake? Migrate?"
At this moment, the White-Clad Woman leaped towards the center of the lake, spinning like a fish as she dove into the water. Bai Yujing saw the water continuously converging towards the center, as if there were a huge pit in the middle of the lake that was swallowing the water.
Bai Yujing then understood that this woman was not an ordinary person. "Who is she? Where is this place? Who are you?"
The White Cat told Bai Yujing, "She is the spirit of the lake, also known as the Lake Fairy! The Sun Goddess! This is my dream, and what you see is my memory. I am a Dream Cat, a cat that lives in others' dreams!"
Watching as the water was gradually drained away until the entire lake disappeared, turning into a stretch of beach, the spirit of the lake seemed to vanish like a fleeting dream along with the fading sunlight.
"This!" Bai Yujing felt somewhat incredulous; this was truly miraculous! Could this be the legend that spoke of the Sun Goddess bathing here and evaporating the entire lake?
The Dream Cat turned its head, and Bai Yujing followed its gaze to see a large group of people standing behind, bowing in reverence to where the lake had once been. Time seemed to speed up; countless figures flickered as day turned to night. Before them, a massive Stonehenge began to take shape, where people worshipped and prayed to the sun.
They did not understand that what they were witnessing was not the Sun Goddess at all; it was merely their imagination. The remaining Dream Cat was revered by them as the Messenger of their deity. Generations came and went, and eventually, something caused the worship to cease entirely.
This place gradually fell into disrepair; no one came anymore. Weeds grew wild, trees thrived, and even the once-dry lake began to slowly return to its original state with the passage of time. Bai Yujing felt all of this—the profound shock of his spirit and the vicissitudes of time were beyond words.
"My master was Lily; she used to be the Lake Fairy who governed the Fountain of Life. However, she fled here with three golden plates from the Fountain of Life but could never return. Lily died, and her children also perished; everything is gone. Yet, the oath made back then has not ended. I originally thought it would be Lily's descendants who came here; I didn't expect it would be you! But it's close enough!" The Dream Cat spoke to itself, immediately waking Bai Yujing from his shock.
Bai Yujing quickly asked, "The oath made back then? Lily's children?"
Bai Yujing felt completely confused and could not understand what this mysterious Dream Cat was saying. Just as he wanted to ask further questions, he suddenly woke up from his dream. Opening his eyes, he saw that it was already bright outside.
The morning birdsong filled the air as several small birds perched on top of a vine-covered boulder, chirping away. Bai Yujing searched around but found no trace of the Dream Cat. However, his Exotic Creature Hunter Hunter System's mission notification reminded him that his task was complete.
"Main Quest: Find D-Class Anomaly Angel Cat. Reward: 100 points [Completed] [Submit Task]!"
"Side Quest 1: Find the Healing Spring Gold Plate, reward fifty points [Complete] [Submit Quest]!

When leaving the Holy Land, Bai Yujing always felt as if he had stepped into another world, with even more mysteries weighing on his heart. The journey to Sky Island, the hidden secrets, the people and stories involved, all left him feeling confused and tangled.
Carrying his backpack, as he emerged from the jungle, Bai Yujing saw Old Alje and Emma on the mountain path. As soon as Emma spotted Bai Yujing, she shouted and rushed over, throwing herself into his arms.
Emma looked at Bai Yujing with concern and noticed he had no injuries, just two large mosquito bites on his neck. She sighed in relief and gave him a deep kiss. "Why did you take so long to come back? Bethany was almost in tears with worry, insisting on coming to find you!"
"I think it was you who were about to cry!" Bai Yujing revealed the truth, and Emma immediately kicked him playfully.
Seeing Emma and Old Alje made Bai Yujing feel a wave of relief wash over him, pushing aside all those doubts in his mind. He decided to think about the matters ahead later.
"How did it go? Did you find anything?" Old Alje asked, though he didn't have high hopes, he still wished for the answers he sought.
Bai Yujing nodded. "I found it!"
"Really!" Old Alje turned his head quickly, causing his hat to fly off due to the sudden movement.
"Really? That sounds like a beautiful place, a land full of legends—the Holy Land!"
