Bai Yujing and the others discussed for a while and ultimately chose not to resist, opting to cooperate instead. Their first impression was that there shouldn't be any major issues, and secondly, there were so many of them on the other side. Looking at the large figure above them, they felt that their small group wouldn't stand a chance.
"It really is a sky city. This is different from those Sky Islands; this one seems to be mobile!" Emma said as she walked along the spacious road, speaking to Bai Yujing.
"Who says those Sky Islands can't move? We haven't truly observed or examined them. Look at these floating islands here; they are arranged too regularly, giving off a strong sense of artificial interference. These Fairy Clan members are not simple; perhaps they have developed a civilization different from ours!" Bai Yujing reasoned.
Bivis immediately said cautiously, "Are you suggesting—magic?"
After all, it looked too much like that. Those riding broomsticks were quite similar to the witches in European legends.
"I never said that. However, Lemuel Gulliver has regarded this place as a divine realm, and it indeed hides too many unknown secrets. Plus, if something like the Fountain of Youth can exist, isn't it quite normal for there to be magic?"
Above the sky city was a place that looked like some special institution. There weren't many people, most of whom wore uniforms. Bai Yujing saw fairies with pointed ears, fairies with bird wings, and fairies with butterfly wings, as well as those with dragonfly wings. There were both males and females, most of whom would be considered exceptionally attractive among humans.
However, as they passed through a large gate, Bai Yujing and the others saw a 'beauty' with two sturdy goat legs, standing at two meters eight tall, with horns on her head. Although her upper body looked extremely alluring, Bai Yujing couldn't help but shudder at the sight of her lower half.
"That's too much!"
However, Hank and Shen Fei were practically staring with their eyes popping out. Especially when the Goat-Horned Beauty passed by and threw them a flirtatious glance; their expressions of lust were simply unbearable to watch.
After passing through a garden, they had to cross a Small Lake where the road ran through the center of the lake. Bai Yujing bent down to look at the small fish swimming in the water and curiously reached his hand into the lake.
The water was cool and very clear; Bai Yujing could see the stone walls below and the pebbles at the bottom. Suddenly, ripples began to form in the water, and Bai Yujing quickly saw the surface rolling before noticing a figure running up from the bottom, gradually stepping onto the lake's surface.
Bai Yujing saw a creature with the lower body of a horse and the upper body of a human running up from the Bottom. This creature seemed completely unable to sink into the Bottom, running effortlessly on the water's surface.
Bai Yujing and the others were escorted by the Fairy Patrol Team to meet their Inspector General, so naturally, many people followed behind them. According to these Fairies, this sky city was referred to as the Observation Station, primarily used to prevent Fairies within from entering or exiting Fairy Island recklessly, disrupting order and not following the rules.
In addition, it was also meant to prevent dangerous creatures from Sky Country from invading Fairy Island, such as dragons, Serpent Monsters, and Harpies—powerful beings that posed significant threats to the ordinary members of the Fairy Clan.
After capturing Bai Yujing and the others, they realized that they were not part of the Fairy Clan but humans. This left all the Fairies present somewhat bewildered, unsure of how to handle the situation; it seemed to be their first encounter with such a case. They waited for half a day until their Inspector General finally ordered them to take Bai Yujing and the others to meet her.
While guarding Bai Yujing, these Fairies curiously observed them as if they were some rare creatures. Bai Yujing felt equally curious about them; it was a very strange sensation.
The centaur rushed past Bai Yujing and the others but immediately circled back after passing them, stopping in front of them. "You are the humans that Ella mentioned, right?"
"Ella? You mean that Wind Fairy we encountered earlier!"
"That's right. I am Sea Fairy Kenstan. We rarely have outsiders come here. Many years ago, various races visited our Fairy Clan on Fairy Island, but ever since the Fountain of Life dried up, no outsiders have come again. I never expected humans to arrive consecutively!" Sea Fairy Kenstan said.
Bai Yujing looked at Kenstan; shouldn't this be a centaur? What is a Sea Nymph? However, seeing him walk on water as if it were solid ground and recalling that he had burst out from the Bottom earlier helped Bai Yujing understand somewhat.
However, Kenstan's words contained a lot of information: "No outsiders have come since the Fountain of Life dried up? Why is that?"
Bai Yujing asked Kenstan, but Kenstan quickly left like the wind: "The Inspector General will tell you. I have other matters to attend to and can't chat with you any longer!"
It seemed that Kenstan had only come over to greet them. Stepping onto a bridge, he continued forward until he entered a grand building facade. Bai Yujing and the others entered what appeared to be an impressive structure made largely of marble and floor-to-ceiling windows. The walls were adorned with intricate designs, exuding an artistic vibe filled with sunlight.
In a large hall inside, Bai Yujing and others encountered the Inspector General they had been eager to meet—a black-haired woman with pointed ears. Aside from that, she looked no different from an ordinary human. At first glance, she did not seem like a fairy but rather like one of Bai Yujing's kin.
The woman wore glasses and sat in the center of the hall. On the table was a very exquisite set of cups and a silver pot. She delicately held a cup with her fingers and took a gentle sip. From the side, she appeared to be in her thirties, mature and charming, exuding an air of cultured wisdom that was uncommon among women.
Bai Yujing suddenly recalled the appearance of the Sun Goddess he had seen when Dream Cat showed him its memories; she looked quite similar to this woman. To be precise, it was Lake Fairy Lily. Could it be that this woman was also a Lake Fairy?
Behind her, a pink girl with white wings was clinging to her neck, acting cute. The pink head bobbed like a puppy on her shoulder, seemingly begging for something. This was Wind Fairy Ella, whom Bai Yujing had seen before.
After Bai Yujing and the others were escorted here, the members of the Fairy Patrol Team slowly retreated behind them, seemingly unconcerned that Bai Yujing and his group might suddenly attack and take their Inspector General hostage. However, judging by their previous conversations and expressions, they held great respect and trust for this Inspector General, likely underestimating Bai Yujing and his companions, believing they could not pose any threat to her.
Bai Yujing stepped forward and was about to speak as he approached the center of the hall when he saw the black-haired woman speak first: "Greetings to our guests who have traveled from afar. I am Lake Fairy Loran, and I warmly welcome you to the Island of Life!"
