Bai Yujing felt that his expression must have looked very strange as he recited these words, but he did not expect that as soon as he finished speaking, three inscriptions on his palm would suddenly fly out and attach themselves to the stone. Bai Yujing saw all the inscriptions on the stone shine brightly in an instant, illuminating the entire space.
Bai Yujing noticed that the ground seemed to become transparent, as if he were standing in the midst of a galaxy. He could see a vast power flowing from somewhere in this world, converging beneath his palm.
"What’s wrong with you?"
Before Bai Yujing could respond to this moment of distraction, he saw Helena shaking herself, as if everything he had just witnessed was merely an illusion. However, he was immediately captivated by another reflection; a trickle of transparent spring water flowed out from the groove in the stone.
Bai Yujing saw that this spring water shimmered with a bright light and seemed to emit a faint fragrance—not exactly a smell, but a breath of life akin to that of nature itself.
In the instant the spring water flowed out, Bai Yujing saw that the originally gray grass in the Divine Realm instantly turned green. Even the blue moss regained its color and began to emit white light, illuminating the entire Divine Realm as if it were daytime.
This change spread rapidly from this center to the surroundings. From outside, one could see the enormous Holy Oak beginning to stir again; the roots that had once withered gradually started to grow, absorbing nutrients. Tender buds began to sprout at the tips of the branches, and the entire world could feel this refreshing essence.
Moreover, unnoticed by people, all floating islands of Fairy Island that had been continuously cracking and dissipating had disappeared from that state and were instead gradually expanding.
The Fairy Clan waiting in the square also noticed this situation and instantly understood that this was a phenomenon indicating that the Fountain of Life had been activated. Even the Speaker's face showed signs of joy. In a moment of silence, all members of the Fairy Clan began to cheer and started their long-prepared celebration program.
Emma, dressed like a magician, stood among the crowd beside Will Hackman, who was holding a pipe. Emma jumped up and exclaimed, "It really worked! Then Ian should have obtained the spring water of life!"
Will Hackman kept his eyes fixed on Bivis and his companions on the other side. Hank immediately said upon seeing Holy Oak rejuvenated, "It seems we have succeeded!"
Shen Fei nodded in agreement: "Then the Fountain of Life is now in Bai Yujing's hands!"
Bivis nodded, "This is also a good thing. If there is no Fountain of Life, then our struggle would be meaningless. Let's continue to celebrate as if nothing happened, and don't let them raise their guard against us!"
At this moment, the Divine Realm radiated a white light, illuminating the stone platform. Tender sprouts of weeds slowly grew from the cracks in the stones, and the dark red flowers gradually faded in color, becoming a mix of vibrant hues.
Helena gently tapped a small glass bottle, and saw that all the spring water in the groove flowed into the bottle. After sealing the spring water, Helena handed it to Bai Yujing: "This is what I promised you back then!"
Bai Yujing received it and said, "Thank you!"
Helena shook her head: "But I must remind you that the Fountain of Life is also known as the Fountain of Youth. However, it has some side effects; using it will change a person's life form. For humans, perhaps longevity is not necessarily a good thing!"
Bai Yujing smiled immediately: "That truly sounds like a luxurious trouble, but that's something for many years down the line. Right now, we should focus on the present!"
Having obtained what they wanted, both Bai Yujing and the Fairy Clan were satisfied. Of course, this was only a happy ending for Bai Yujing. The story could not possibly satisfy everyone.
The two walked outside, and Helena once again used the Holy Oak Staff to seal off the Divine Realm. The difficulty of reawakening the Fountain of Life made Helena extremely cautious, but it was evident that her expression also carried a hint of ease and joy.
Upon reaching Banlu Mountain, Helena asked Bai Yujing: "You are also a deity; can you tell me what kind of world you wish to create? Would you be satisfied with a world like ours?"
Bai Yujing genuinely didn't know how to answer this question: "Calling me a deity is too much. However, the world I desire would certainly be a peaceful and beautiful utopia. Yet I feel such a world does not exist. After all, even among your Fairy Clan, there are bound to be conflicts and frictions, right? Helena nodded: "You already have a prototype of a small world; one day it can be transformed into a world like ours. At that time, you will be the deity of that world. Perhaps the deity who created us initially hoped for a utopian world as well but later became disappointed in us and abandoned us!"
"That truly sounds like an irresponsible deity. However, I haven't figured out how to do this yet. But looking at what you have here has given me great inspiration and insight!"
"I hope you can take this seriously. For you, this may just be a game or a toy to pass the time, but for us, this place is our everything!"
Helena's initial prejudice against Bai Yujing has transformed into a certain understanding, which makes Bai Yujing quite happy. At least when the two of them chat, Bai Yujing now feels a sense of warmth and connection.
When they returned to Fairy City, the entire city was in a frenzy. All the Fairy Clan began to celebrate, with various Fairies of all ages and genders cheering throughout the city. Bai Yujing and the other humans were treated as heroes, sitting in a carriage and basking in the cheers of the Fairy Clan, feeling like superstars on parade.
Emma and Will Hackman seemed to really enjoy this scene. The two stood on the carriage, waving at the surrounding Fairy Clan, while the old man puffed on his pipe, tipping his hat and grinning from ear to ear!
Bai Yujing observed Bivis and the other two, who also seemed to be enjoying the cheers like heroes. However, this behavior only made Bai Yujing more suspicious; it was impossible for them to be so happy if they had come with a mission that remained unfulfilled.
Bai Yujing wanted to remind Emma and Will Hackman, but seeing how happy they were, he decided to hold back.
“Ian, there’s going to be a grand evening party for us tonight!”
“The Speaker said they would also give us gifts to show their gratitude!”
“Hey, what should we wear?”
“I think the white gauze dresses of the Fairy Clan are really nice!”
“No way! They look so good in them already. If I wear one too, won’t that... um, won’t that mean we’ll match?”
“Are you saying you’d be outshined by them? Ouch, that hurts!”
