It was still the same café. Bai Yujing didn't know how Li Xinyan found out about her being in the UK, but she had specifically arranged to meet. Bai Yujing hadn't seen her for a long time, but she looked almost unchanged, just like a year ago.
"How have you been lately?" Bai Yujing asked as she added sugar to her coffee and stirred it vigorously before finally speaking.
"Not bad, just the same as before!" Li Xinyan replied slowly, as if it were Bai Yujing who had called her over.
Although Bai Yujing wanted to ask why Li Xinyan suddenly thought of meeting her, she first made small talk: "Have you found a new boyfriend?"
Li Xinyan shot Bai Yujing a glance: "No time!"

Bai Yujing remembered that they were researching Hyperactive Cell Serum, which was derived from the Mermaid's Blood she had provided. In a sense, they were working on Gene Editing Technology reminiscent of Atlantis. "The research institute requires confidentiality; I can't say anything!" Li Xinyan's words left Bai Yujing speechless again, and they both resumed sipping their coffee, the atmosphere growing cold once more.

Bai Yujing immediately replied, "What girlfriend? Her name is Emma!"
