Bai Yujing peeked out of the prison door and saw that the ceremony outside had already ended. Everyone began to return to their respective areas. Li Hao watched as several Mountain Spirits dressed in coarse linen made their way back, estimating that it wouldn't be long before the guards here would return as well. Li Hao immediately pulled his head back and said, "What should we do? If they discover the bodies of these Donkey-headed Wolves, we'll be exposed!"
After adjusting the position of the Donkey-headed Wolves, Bai Yujing pretended to be asleep and then quietly led Li Hao and the others outside. At this moment, with Li Hao, Zhong Qiang, Lin Ruoqiao, and A Ling included, Bai Yujing's group had once again become five people. "Hurry up! Once the ceremony is completely over, we won't be able to get over there!"
The group hunched over and cautiously made their way around the sides of various wooden houses. Then, following Bai Yujing's quick pace, they circled around to the back of the Suspended Tower and quickly slipped into the lowest gap beneath it. It was nighttime now, and the area beneath the Suspended Tower was pitch black; nothing could be seen. They directly hid under the Stairs.
Zhong Qiang looked at the situation outside and frowned. "These Mountain Spirits have patrols monitoring everywhere. There are still more than a dozen Mountain Spirits guarding the entrance of the Village; we can't get out."
At this moment, A Ling spoke up: "The activity schedule of these Mountain Spirits is different from humans; they rest during the day and come out at night. So nighttime is their active period!"
Lin Ruoqiao immediately said, "Then let's wait until dawn to go out!"
Bai Yujing shook his head. "No way! We won't last until then. It won't be long before the Mountain Spirits discover that someone has broken in to rescue you all. At that point, it will be like catching fish in a barrel; we'll be trapped here!"
Bai Yujing looked at the surrounding terrain and asked Zhong Qiang, "Did you notice any other exits when you came in?"
Zhong Qiang thought for a moment and shook his head. "This Mountain Valley is surrounded by mountains on three sides; we can only go out that way!"
Bai Yujing pondered for a moment and clenched his fist. "There's no other way; we have to take risks!"
Li Hao immediately asked, "Old Bai, what idea do you have now?"
Bai Yujing quickly rummaged through his backpack and took out three bottles of alcohol. Li Hao looked at Bai Yujing and said, "To be honest, I think your backpack is a bit like a magic bag! Are you Doraemon?"
Bai Yujing's expression darkened. He quickly used two pieces of medical bandages and the alcohol bottles to make three Molotov cocktails, handing the other two to Li Hao and Zhong Qiang before looking at the surrounding buildings.
Bai Yujing pointed to the Suspended Tower above and said, "When I count to three, Li Hao, you and Zhong Qiang throw yours up there. I'll throw mine onto that largest Thatched Cottage over there. The dry grass in this season will catch fire easily! This is the most important building for the Mountain Spirit; once it catches fire, they will definitely come to put it out, causing chaos inside the Mountain Spirit and giving us a chance to escape."
Bai Yujing pointed towards the direction of the Village's entrance. "Once the fire starts, our goal is to run that way. However, the main road over there has the most Mountain Spirits. After the fire starts, there will definitely be a lot of Mountain Spirits passing by, so we can't just run straight towards it!"
"To the west, there are fewer houses in this area, and fewer Mountain Spirits as well. We will go around this way. No matter what happens along the way, absolutely do not look back or stop; we must rush straight to the Village's Gate!"
Bai Yujing then looked at Zhong Qiang. "Qiangzi, do you have your Sonic Bomb with you?"
Zhong Qiang touched his waist and nodded. Bai Yujing immediately said, "When we reach the Gate, throw it directly to stun those dozen or so guards, and then we can take advantage of the chaos to break out of here!"
After finishing his instructions, Bai Yujing looked at everyone. "Did everyone understand? The plan is simple; don't mess it up!"
Once Bai Yujing's three companions were in position, he quietly counted down. As soon as he finished counting, all three lit their homemade Molotov cocktails and threw them out. Instantly, two Molotov cocktails were thrown up from below the Suspended Tower by Li Hao and Zhong Qiang, shattering on top of it and splashing a large area with alcohol that ignited immediately. The ancient wooden Suspended Tower was set ablaze in an instant, with roaring flames erupting rapidly.
Bai Yujing also did the same here. The Molotov cocktail arced through the air and was thrown onto the roof of a large Thatched Cottage. It accurately struck a Wooden Rack, shattering upon impact. Instantly, several square meters of the Thatched Cottage roof caught fire, quickly spreading to the surrounding area.
After setting the fire, Bai Yujing immediately circled around from behind the Suspended Tower, running swiftly from the north side, sticking close to the base of the Suspended Tower. Like a few mice, they dashed past a large pile of hay and left this area. As Bai Yujing passed by, they ignited the haystack in an instant.
The sound of the shattering bottle quickly drew the attention of numerous Mountain Spirits. Many Mountain Spirits who were busy with their tasks were immediately attracted over, only to discover that a fierce fire had erupted at the center of their Village, where the Suspended Tower stood, along with nearby thatched cottages and haystacks also ablaze.
Immediately, sharp cries erupted from one Mountain Spirit after another. All the Mountain Spirits rushed out and gathered towards this side, plunging the entire Village into chaos and confusion. The noise was incessant, with various sounds echoing loudly. These Mountain Spirits anxiously circled around the Suspended Tower, yet they dared not approach it, as if their status forbade them from stepping foot there; they could only watch helplessly as the flames grew larger.
As one Mountain Spirit wearing a Mask emerged from within, all the other Mountain Spirits sprang into action to extinguish the fire. At this moment, Bai Yujing and their companions were desperately sprinting from the side, making a wide detour towards the entrance of the Village, hoping to seize this excellent opportunity to escape this strange lair.
Bai Yujing's plan went very smoothly. The group rushed to the Gate, encountering only one Mountain Spirit who noticed them. This fellow was still dazed and unclear about what was happening, hurriedly carrying a wooden bucket to put out the fire. Without hesitation, Bai Yujing raised their gun and shot it in the head.
The gunshot was drowned out by the chaotic sounds throughout the entire Village, drawing little attention. Finally, when Bai Yujing and their group reached the entrance of the Village, the guards above immediately spotted them and let out sharp shrieks.
This sound seemed to signal something; soon, many Mountain Spirits who were fighting the fire in the distance turned their gaze towards this direction.
