Early the next morning, Zhou Jun drove downstairs to pick up Qian Jia and Bai Yujing, preparing to head to Xingwen County and Bai Wang Mountain. After crossing the Yangtze River, the road indeed became difficult to navigate, just as Qian Jia had mentioned.
After a rugged journey of about three hours, they finally arrived at their destination, Baiwangshan Town. After getting out of the car and having a quick bite to eat, Bai Yujing eagerly rushed towards Bai Wang Mountain.
There weren't many people in the scenic area, but the scenery was truly beautiful. Standing at the entrance of the park, they could see the distant lush forests. However, the park was not called Bai Wang Mountain; it was named China Xingwen Global Geopark, which was connected to Xingwen Stone Forest and was even larger than Bai Yujing had previously imagined. This also meant that Bai Yujing's work would be a bit more complicated.
Looking at the vast mountains and dense forests, Bai Yujing felt somewhat speechless. Finding the so-called Bai Wang Tomb in such a large area seemed unimaginable; after all, he wasn't Hu Bayi who could pinpoint locations with ease.
Seeing this place, Qian Jia also felt that locating their destination amidst the vast mountains wouldn't be easy. She immediately turned to Bai Yujing and said, "Should we hire a professional?"
Bai Yujing glanced inside the Xingwen Global Geopark. "Let's go in first and see. If we can find out what happened here during the Ming Dynasty after Chenghua Emperor sealed off the mountain, that would be great. On their way here, Bai Yujing had heard Professor Peng mention the terrain of Bai Wang Mountain. The topography in this area is very unique, situated between the Sichuan Basin Nan Mountain Area and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The park is rich in limestone formations; its special geographical location, geological structure, and climatic conditions have created the Xingwen-style karst landscape. It is one of the earliest places in China discovered and studied for sinkholes and is also a typical area for studying karst topography in Southwest China.
Covering an area of 156 square kilometers, it consists of over 200 caves represented by Tianquan Cave; it is known for its natural ecology and features various strange terrains such as gorges, waterfalls, lakes, and caves. Formed during the Ordovician period 490 million years ago, it includes ancient stone forests, thousand-year-old ginkgo trees, cave clusters, and lush bamboo forests of Tai'an Stone Forest. The complexity of this terrain far exceeds human imagination and is enough for geologists to study for a lifetime.
Zhou Jun was quite familiar with this area; he had visited several times and often came here for hiking and walking during his leisure time. This time he acted as a guide for Bai Yujing as they explored the surroundings.
The narrow mountain paths wound through towering peaks surrounded by bizarre rock formations that contrasted with the tall trees and shrubs on the mountainside. Bai Yujing noticed that the stones here were quite distinctive; they resembled Devil's Rock—strange shapes were everywhere.
"This is Leopard Mountain, and down there is Leopard Pool!" Zhou Jun said while walking, introducing the geographical features to Bai Yujing. Bai Yujing took a look and indeed saw a pool at Shanxia, which was quite large, but the water was shallow enough to see the bottom easily.
Bai Yujing nodded, "It seems that this place is formed by various unique limestone landscapes. Look at the pool; its shape resembles a funnel, which should also be a karst depression formed pool!"
Zhou Jun nodded in agreement, "I've heard from the older generation that there are many crevices and waterways beneath this water, flowing to various places in the mountains. I also heard that strange things have appeared in this pool."
Qian Jia accompanied Zhou Jun and Bai Yujing to Shanxia, looking at Leopard Pool: "The water is so shallow; what could possibly be in there? It should only be three or four meters deep at most, and the shallowest parts wouldn't exceed seven or eight meters. Look inside; there aren't even many fish."
Zhou Jun immediately replied, "That's not how it works! When I was young, every rainy season, the water in this pool would surge dramatically, and mysteriously, many fish would appear. A lot of people came here to catch fish, filling their baskets with them. I witnessed it myself."
"I suspect that underneath this water, there connects to some Underground River. During the rainy season, when the river swells, the water flows back into this Leopard Pool, causing this phenomenon!"
Qian Jia quickly said, "What does that have to do with us? Let's hurry and check out other places. Bai Yujing, pay attention! I invited you here to work, not for a vacation. Put away that leisurely attitude of yours; don't take money without doing anything!"

Bai Yujing followed the others around aimlessly. However, after hearing Zhou Jun's words, Bai Yujing deliberately looked into the pool. Although he didn't find anything noteworthy, he remained cautious.
Aside from special attractions like Couple Peak, Storm Rock, and Fossil Maze, which are formed by surface karst topography, this area is filled with sinkholes and cave attractions like the Pillar of Life. There are hundreds of caves of various sizes that have already been developed and discovered; hidden deep within are countless more caves and cave systems yet to be found.
In this area, such caves are everywhere, interconnected like bubbles filling the mountain's interior. It feels like an underground maze; once inside, it can easily create a dizzying illusion where one cannot recognize the path.
The group stood beneath a sinkhole, feeling as if they were in an underground palace. This massive underground cavern made people feel as small as ants when standing below. A huge opening above allowed sunlight to shine down vertically, illuminating countless particles of dust floating inside like beams of holy light projected into this underground cave, showcasing the wondrous beauty of nature.
Bai Yujing said to Qian Jia, "Check these underground caves and see if there are any special entrances. I believe the Bai Wang Tomb is likely built within a cave, perhaps located inside one of the mountains in this range. However, it has not been discovered due to its very concealed location!"
Qian Jia nodded, "That's very possible. I'll have someone look into the information about these caves, and also..."
At that moment, Qian Jia's phone rang. After answering, Qian Jia responded with a few murmurs, and their expression became serious. Bai Yujing immediately asked, "What happened?"
Qian Jia's gaze turned serious as well: "The behind-the-scenes Boss of VG just appeared over at XZ with some people. It seems like they are planning something big. We haven't figured out the details yet, but their target appears to be a child."
Bai Yujing was confused: "A child? What do they want with a child? What special identity does this child have?"
