"I and my master... whose sword is faster now?" Xiong Zhi sat across from Xiaoyaozi, pondering to himself. 0

Xiong Zhi felt that the speed of his sword was at least on par with Xiaoyaozi's; the only difference was in technique and experience. Moreover, Xiong Zhi believed that his sword, without even being drawn, might be faster than Xiaoyaozi's! 0

The waiter brought two pots of wine and a plate of snacks. 0

It wasn't mealtime yet; they had only ordered some wine. 0

"Sir... Sir... I..." Just as Xiong Zhi took a sip of wine, a voice appeared in his mind. 0

"Zero? What's wrong?" At first, Xiong Zhi thought Zero had malfunctioned, but he soon felt a surge of excitement. 0

No thunder! No power! Zero has appeared! 0

"Ah... I've stabilized..." Zero's voice sounded relieved. 0

"Can you operate directly now?" Xiong Zhi asked excitedly. 0

"Yes, sir," Zero replied. "The electrical current in your brain has become stronger. Just now, when you took a sip of wine, it stimulated your nerves, causing a momentary surge of electricity that awakened me." 0

"What happened?" Xiaoyaozi looked at Xiong Zhi, who was smiling inexplicably. 0

Xiong Zhi came back to his senses: "Uh... Master, it's nothing." 0

Xiaoyaozi clearly wasn't interested in this and didn't ask further. Xiong Zhi also breathed a sigh of relief. 0

"Sir, it seems your ability to concentrate still needs improvement," Zero said with a smile. 0

"Uh... Zero, can you use all your functions now?" Xiong Zhi asked. 0

"Sir, I'm afraid I still can't do that. Your soul's strength can just barely maintain my operation; there's still some distance to full activation." 0

"Of course, sir. If you encounter any danger and I can help, I can forcibly activate myself. However, afterward, you will need some time to recover." 0

This made it clear that Xiong Zhi couldn't maintain Zero's full operation at the moment. However, forced operation could still be used for a while. But this forced operation would overload Xiong Zhi's soul, so he would need to rest afterward. 0

Soul Overload can be understood as overthinking, where the brain cannot handle such pressure. 0

"Waiter, bring us two rooms! They need to be adjacent! Also, don't disturb us unless necessary," Xiong Zhi shouted at the waiter. 0

~~~~~~~~~~~ 0
In a small town, at night. 0
Xiong Zhi lay in bed looking out the window. The stars were twinkling outside, and the lights were bright. If it weren't for the fact that the lights were candles with flickering flames, it would almost resemble something modern. 0
"Creak..." A very faint sound, but it did not escape Xiong Zhi's ears; the inn was too quiet at night. 0
Xiong Zhi immediately became alert, lying still in bed. 0
"Someone... a thief?" Xiong Zhi felt that the footsteps were approaching. 0
The door opened, and indeed it was a figure in black, sneaking around; it must be the thief. 0
Suddenly, Xiong Zhi rolled over, got up immediately, and grabbed a sword to stab the thief in front of him. 0
This was different from modern society; here, killing was not something that Yamen would interfere with, but settling things was quite simple. 0
"Crash..." 0
Before Xiong Zhi could thrust the sword, a wooden partition beside him shattered, and a silver blade shot out from within. 0
"Uh... I'll handle this as instructed by my master..." Xiong Zhi exclaimed in surprise. 0
Due to limited creation abilities, the partitions between rooms were all wooden, allowing Xiaoyaozi to easily pierce through with a single strike. 0
Xiaoyaozi retracted his sword. 0
Seeing the situation turn unfavorable, the thief turned to flee. Naturally, Xiong Zhi would not allow that and thrust out his sword! 0
A sword, accompanied by the sound of its song and the whisper of the wind. 0
The sword pierced through the thief's body, entering from the back and emerging from the chest. 0
"Sir, your swordsmanship has improved greatly," Zero couldn't help but praise. 0
"I initially intended to pierce his throat... but never mind, this guy has already breathed his last..." Xiong Zhi seemed to be talking to himself, but was actually speaking to Zero. 0
Xiong Zhi withdrew the sword and wiped the blood off it. 0
"Swish!" 0
A sound, a flash of sword light. 0
The thief's body, which was already about to fall, suddenly seemed to be struck by something and flew sideways. When the thief crashed into the wooden partition, he came to a stop. Xiong Zhi focused his gaze and finally understood what had happened. 0
Xiaoyaozi's sword. Xiaoyaozi's speed in drawing the sword was incredibly fast; in fact, Xiong Zhi was not far behind. However, Xiaoyaozi's sword carried an unyielding force that was irreversible—a kind of power that Xiong Zhi could not match. 0
"Uh... Master, I was just saying..." Xiong Zhi said helplessly as Xiaoyaozi's sword pierced through the thief's throat in an instant. 0
"What happened here?" Soon, the waiter hurried over. 0
"Oh, nothing much, just a little thief," Xiong Zhi said as he took down Xiaoyaozi's sword and wiped off the bloodstains. 0
Xiaoyaozi had not shown up at all; Xiong Zhi did not know how Xiaoyaozi had judged when to strike. 0
The waiter's body trembled slightly as he nervously glanced around before quickly dragging the corpse away. 0
"This guest, you should leave quickly! Killing is not something one should do!" The waiter said after disposing of the body somewhere unknown and returned to Xiong Zhi. 0
"No need; the Yamen people are coming. Just send them off," said Xiaoyaozi calmly from next door. 0
"My master said it's unnecessary. Thank you for your reminder," Xiong Zhi smiled at the waiter at the door. The waiter understood that it was time for him to leave. 0
"Take care, Guest. Just call me if you need anything." The waiter remained very respectful. These two almost ignored Yamen's threats... he, as a waiter, couldn't provoke them. 0
"Come back! Clean up that blood!" Xiong Zhi quickly called the waiter back. There was a pool of blood on the ground, caused by Xiong Zhi; there was blood on the wall, caused by Xiaoyaozi... 0
The waiter immediately turned around, grabbed a cloth, soaked it in water, and started cleaning. It took nearly twenty minutes to finish. 0
"Sir... I just analyzed Xiaoyaozi's sword." Once everything was over and Xiong Zhi lay on the bed, with no sounds nearby, Zero spoke up. 0
"Uh? Go ahead." Xiong Zhi became interested. 0
"Your calculation and analysis abilities are not as good as mine. Just now, you saw Xiaoyaozi draw his sword. You knew it was impressive but couldn't draw any conclusions. I, however, 'saw' Xiaoyaozi's strike through your eyes and made a slow analysis." Zero said. 0
When Xiaoyaozi's sword completely entered Xiong Zhi's room, it was actually in his own hands. Although this process was quick, Xiaoyaozi was constantly fine-tuning, adjusting the tip and body of the sword's direction... 0
It sounds easy, but making precise judgments and taking action in such a short time is quite difficult. 0
Xiaoyaozi had mastered this skill; his sword was as flexible as an arm. Xiong Zhi's experience was still lacking, so compared to Xiaoyaozi, he was far behind. 0
"Sir, I have thought of a possibility." Zero continued, "If you give me the highest command authority, you might become stronger." 0
